Like many of wrestling fans I too am truly saddened by the news of Randy Poffo AKA Randy "Macho Man" Savage's death this afternoon. But their is one thing for sure I and millions of his fans will remember Randy for and that's his huge star power and incredible work he left for present and future wrestlers of the world of wrestling. I will remember Randy for his colorful ring attire, his intense interviews and of course his in-ring work.
I still find it hard to believe that he's no longer with us, but I only hope that Vince will find it in his heart to honor Randy and Elizabeth in the Hall of Fame next year and forget all about the issues he and Randy might have had it's only fair the both of them and the fans who continue to support Randy.
My your soul rest Randy and thank you for the memories.

Still hard to believe its true. I can't believe so many people from my era have died below the age of 65. I thought Savage would be one of the last to go. In some ways this death is the most shocking since the lurid details of Benoit. Definitely the saddest for me, and easily the most high profile. My first wrestling figure was his LJN, and there is a good chance that my last will be his Legend. Easily in the top 5 greatest of all time, possibly in the top 3.
RIP Randy Savage. It still doesn't feel real, but you will be missed terribly.

I'm glad the picture of Bane came out today, or it would have been the worst ever.
I'm still sad about him though. Oddly enough, I was just talking about him yesterday, opining the theft of the ring worn shirt i used to have and looking for pictures for a custom mighty mugg I want to make. It's so weird how things like that happen.
As a kid, he was always one o my favorites. An all time great indeed.

God Bless You, Mach. You have always been, and will always be one of my all-time favorites. I found out about his untimely death after I went to work today, and I have to admit that I had to stop for a moment to shed a few tears.

May the unsung Hero of his time in Professional Wrestling be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows he is dead(old Irish saying) I thank you Randy Savage for all of the efforts you put no matter the money or promotion you were in. You were wrestling! I hope the Angels as you entered the pearly gates were chanting Thank You Randy! Clap, Clap! Clap Clap Clap!!! I know we are ALL doing that down here OOOOOH YEAH!!!!!! You were a king of the ring, a king of the Mic and almost overnight became a hero to all of us in your efforts to be the best you could be every time you got inside those ropes! We will miss you Randy! Rest in Heavenly Peace.

Where to begin?
I was obsessed with wrestling as a kid. I mean...obsessed. Some of my earliest memories are of watching two matches on two VHS tapes: Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat and Savage vs. Ted Dibiase. Like a lot of kids, Savage's flashy attires and general "love to hate me" attitude is what enthralled and captivated us. That being said, I feel like someone punched me in the stomach today.
I've sat here and watched over the years on these forums while stories about his "antics" and rumors about "behavior" have circled over and through repeatedly while people attempted to tarnish what little bit of pride this guy had left. I suppose given how fans treat older wrestlers now-a-days I shouldn't be shocked...but I am saddened.
I've watched over the past few years as wrestlers who I thought had long since burned the bridge returned for one final interview or a match or simply an appearance. I held out hope that Savage was simply waiting for the right time. As he continued to appear on more merchandise and WWE products I thought for sure that soon he would get the proper send off that most WWE fans my age have waited for and hoped he'd get.
That send off will never happen.
Instead will get 10 bell rings and an in memory of graphic.
Ask yourself, how do you do this guy justice? A performer who not only revolutionized the sport but also the industry. Endorsements, tv, movies, you name it...the guy did it...and was one of the first.
I'm rambling tonight but it's been a rough day all the way around and losing this man before he got the send off he always deserved will bother me and should bother longtime fans for a while.
A side note: W1337 radio has had a lot of fun doing the Savage character over the years but although I haven't talked to the rest of the crew, it's my belief that if we do a show, that character will be left alone. I truly think we cannot do anything with that voice that will still be in good taste after a tragedy like this.
Rest your madness, Randy. You've earned the rest, King.

Damn, another name to add to Piper's 'Frats' t-shirt . RIP. I should imagine Elizabeth and Sherri are up there fighting it out over him, as we speak ...

I still have that sick feeling in my stomach like a family member just died. Because it is like our family. All of us here, are like wrestling fan-family. This is true. For guys like Hogan and Savage they were larger than life heroes when I was little, that have been with me as long as I can remember. For guys like Shawn or Taker, they are guys that I've watched grow in the business as I've grown up. These guys have been there each week all through my life, and to know that one is gone is really sad. I've had all day to think about this (and trust me, I've thought about it all day) and I'm still at a loss for words. Its still soo hard to believe. This is going to be hard to accept and hard to move on from, but I think this thread and everyone's comments helps. One of my favorite Randy moments was when he proposed to Elizabeth....... Randy: "Elizabet.....Elizabet.....Will You Marry ME?" Elizabeth: "Oooooh Yeeeaaah!" When I think of Randy, on of the main things that comes to mind is watching Saturday Nights Main Event and PPV's with my parents and brother when I was little. He was one of our favorites, and I honestly think without him and this time period, I wouldn't be the fan that I am today. I'm gonna miss you Randy.

Man, this is all I've been thinking about all day...I just can't believe he's gone...I grew up watching him and I know I'll never forget him or all of the great memories he left us with. He was one-of-a-kind. There will NEVER, EVER be another "Macho Man".
R.I.P. Randy Savage, you will be greatly missed for a long time to come...

I've been meaning to post here but I've been away all day. It's an incredible loss and there will never be anyone quite like Macho Man. May he rest in peace.

With Randy Savage dead I don't think I'd care if the world ended. One of the brightest shining stars is gone, never forgotten, never replaced. RIP Randy Savage.

nda pisses me off Vince drug his feet on putting Randy in the hof. I wanted to hear his speech, and for him to get the farewell he deserved. Sadly we all lose out.
I hope Vince learns from this. Put crapaside, because if you wait (Warrior now) it could be to late. On WWE's website it says "one of the greatest superstars of all time" really? I wouldn't have guessed that by the poor treatment they have shown him over the last 5 years. It just really puts a sour taste in my mouth. Damn.
