As I have observed, the oldschool WWF looked pretty real, but less impactful extreme moves. In the attitude era, looked real to me, the bad ass hardcore matchs, the the backstage attacks, the everything ya know? now the WWE, looks pretty damn fake, the camera chages on the impact of the punch, the banning of certain moves, and the storylines! I think this is overreactive protective parents that caused WWE to slow down a bit. discuss.

Attitude era was certainly more of a in your face, raw type of feel to it. Matches goes. HBK vs Taker seemed like a legit bad ass match

I think it's the wrestlers not so much the era. For example in the attitude era you had Rock doing the People's Elbow, the most fake looking move ever & yet it was so over.

the move wasn't fake looking, it just didn't make sense why an elbow would be enough to finish someone off. But the move itself didnt look anymore "fake" then any other elbow.

The attitude era had very had slams and such, just bad punches. In my opinion Scott Hall is the only guy who almost made every punch seem completely legit.
