Well, it's fight week. This Saturday is UFC 130, and no... Edgar vs. Maynard will not headline.  Still a pretty good card.

Because Mir and Stann are overrated and Nelson and Santiago are very good fighters, my thoughts at least. My picks are the same but I got Barão winning. |

Also, I am a little shocked you picked Stann to lose. Mir has never impressed me. He hasn't really had any solid wins over anyone who was relevant at the time. His best win is against Lesnar, and we saw what happened with him. Maybe Sylvia too. Beating Kongo, Cro Cop and a hurt Nogueira doesn't really hold too much water to me. And on top of all that, I just think Nelson is way tougher than Mir. He took an epic beating from JDS and kept coming. I don't consider Roy an elite fighter really, but I just think his toughness will frustrate Mir. I like Stann. He's got a lot of KO power in his hands and he has a pretty good top game, but I just think Santiago will be too technical for him. Stann has the advantage in the power department, but I think Santiago will be too technically better on the feet, and he'll have a huge advantage on the ground as well. It should be a great fight nonetheless. |

I know I bitched about this card because of the Main event being pulled, but I'm still ordering it. I have been wanting to see Big Country vs Mir for a long time now and that fight I cannot miss! Plus Alves vs Story being bumped up to main card status and Brian Stann is a real interesting fighter. So here are my picks:
Rampage Jackson Vs Matt Hamill - Via Unanimous Decision
Frank Mir Vs Roy Nelson - Via Second Round TKO
Stefan Struve Vs Travis Browne - Via Second Round TKO

still a very stacked card.
Hope Santiago, Torres, Alves, and Rampage win.
don't really care who wins between Nelson/Mir. I feel both guys are a bit overrated. Actually let me re-phrase that. Nelson is a bit overrated and Mir is VERY overrated. I am really interested as to how this turns out. I feel Nelson fails when facing elite fighters....but I never considered Mir elite...sooo.....?
should be a fun ppv.

I love this countdown show, being a first time PPV buyer tonight I was kinda hesitant because I didn't know to many of these fighters but man they do a great job building fights up and I'm really pumped for the show.

that mat/mighty mouse fight was tremendous. it just shows that you dont have to have a stand up brawl to make a great fight. the ground game between both fighters, was outright superb.
i had it 29-28 demetrious.

Yeah I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the fight, considering I'm not too big a fan of Mighty Mouse. I was on edge, expecting a sudden submission for most of the fight. I'm curious to see where these 2 go from here.
