Thought we'd use this for all Fifa 12 info, since details are starting to be released. www.ea.com/uk/football/fifaEasports football have updated their homepage with details on Fifa 12. Aside from the first picture of Kaka they have a few new images showing off the new features: Tactical Defending Defending is now as engaging and meaningful as real-world football. All-new Tactical Defending fundamentally changes the approach to defending by placing equal importance on positioning, intercepting passes and tackling. Tactics and timing are crucial. Precision Dribbling Enjoy new ways to take on opponents, more time on the ball to make decisions, and complete control of the pace of the game. Utilize close dribble touches in tight spaces, on the wings, and even while fending off an opponent. Player Impact Engine Experience the way real-world footballers challenge each other for the ball, win possession, and test each other physically. Players feel more resilient, push and pull during the fight for possession, and there are an infinite variety of natural collisions. All looks good. There's videos on Youtube of some of this including this impact engine which looks pretty good.

I really hope they fix career mode, it was nothing major that spoiled it but rather a bunch of little things but its the little things that make the difference.
I was manager of Dundee Utd won 7 SPL titles a europa league and made the semis of the champions league twice yet I never got a offer to manage outside of Scotland.
Also the game never records your domestic or european cup titels it says you were in the final but never gives you teh credit for winning.
Also I would like it to keep record of the players whole careers not just for the current season, speaking of records theere should be a overall goal tally as well as individual competions. Sensible Soccer did this and that game is nearly 20 years old.
Like I said its the little things that count for me in Fifa. I am happy with the gameplay just focus on career.

Managing in the SPL is an absolute. You can't sign anyone in the PL for a start. No matter if it's Wayne Rooney or Maik Tayolr. As soon as 3 clubs are relegated, I tend to just buy every single one of their good players, which gets extremely boring.

The tactical defending is nothing new to me. In clubs/pro ranked I already defend exactly like the new feature describes. The people who just hold A/X all the time are going to be caught out and that's where I'll hold the advantage over them, 'cos I'm already used to it.

The Graphics look no different at all which is a shame. It's about time they start making it more photo-realistic than all these vivid bright colours.
For me off the ball and positioning are probably the factors that makes Tactics come into play and work the best, so if they make these things realistic then it should make for a better Game. I'm not really bothered by all this new Tackling Mode and Player Pressure. All that does is make the Game more unrealistic because people will just go straight to tackle and push you off the Ball instead of sit off and defend properly.
I for one hope they really do sort out the Career Mode. The Youth Development is key, as I'm only in my 8th Season on Career Mode and the best 27 year old is rated a 78, which is quite frankly terrible. The Game is literally ruined once your in your fifth Season or so. Even little things like being able to change your Kit throughout Career Mode with new Design Templates or being able to edit the Kit Colours would mean a lot, although they'd probably never add this because of Image and Sponsership Rights.

All that does is make the Game more unrealistic because people will just go straight to tackle and push you off the Ball instead of sit off and defend properly. It's the other way round. Currently in 11, all you have to do (if you're a bellend) is hold A/X and it's nothing but high pressure all the time from them. From what I gather about 12 you have to be much more precise and tackle at the right moment. If you just steam in then it's not going to be as successful. You will have to sit back and time your tackles on 12.

I just want more stadium options, I hate Ivy Lane.
Career mode could be more detailed and there should be a bit more skill involved as I have played a fair few people who can just get lucky or know how to exploit stupid things.
A.I. is a must improve as well as an option to at least slightly alter the kits in career mode as this would help so much in continuing through the mode. Maybe like in Fifa 05, earn store points that can buy kits but have retro kits for teams, have big packs for download. I would pay up to £3 for Goodison Park and a set of 5 home and away shirts for Everton.

White Hart Lane needs to be in the game! Agreed. Don't really know why they took it out, desperatly needs other Premier League stadiums in the game aswell. No ground looks like Stadium of Light, Reebok Stadium, Craven Cottage, Villa Park and a few others. They need to drastically change the Career Mode aswell in terms of player growth and transfers.

There's enough Premier League stadiums in it as there is. They should work on getting all the elite stadiums in before any others, even if that's not going to happen.

You don't see White Hart Lane as an important stadium to put in the game then? I mean Spurs have been in the Champions League, unless there's licensing problems I see no reason why it shouldn't be in the game.

theres plenty of elite rated stadiums which an more important than white hart lane. tottenham are the 6th biggest club in england at a push, the stadio artemio franchi should been in fifa then or the stadio san paolo both are bigger than white hart lane anyway.

Tottenham are bigger than Man City, so I'd put them 5th. That's two stadiums you've mentioned there, I fail to see where your 'plenty of elite rated stadiums' comes from?
