Since getting the Game I've hardly played my Career Mode as I've been doing another Champions League with my mate where we seed and draw all 32 Teams, flip a coin for each match to decide who will be who, and play out every single Game. Had some unbelievable Matches so far. While the Game isn't too different, it has improved so much with the little tweaks in the Gameplay, like the AI of your team mates, ball control and tackling. Also took park in our first FIFA Tournament for my Sunday Team in which we had 4 TVs with 4 Groups and 17 lads, £45 in the pot for the Winner... which I happily bagged! I did start a Career Mode with Derby County for some reason, signed Nicky Maynard for £3million and some Perez CM bloke, but it feels like a waste of a Career starting there so I'm going to have a rethink over the next day or two as to who I want to do a new Career with. I don't like to be a big Team, but want to be a European side that I can rebuild and sign realistic Players and get them good again. There's really nobody that's tempting me at the moment though other than Juventus, but despite them needing rebuilding they are still too much of a big Team to start off at IMO. The Italian League stands out to me as I never got around to managing there on my FIFA 11 Career so wouldn't mind giving that a pop. In the end I managed 12 years on FIFA 11, 2 with St Etienne, 1 with Burnley, 1 with Birmingham, 2 with Chelsea, 3 with Barcelona, 1 with Real Madrid and 2 with Alemannia Aachen. Started a Career with Lazio today. They had a starting budget of £17,000,000. I sold 9 Players, the best was 35 year old Rocchi (75), and brought in Argentinian Centre Back M. Musacchio (77) from Villareal for £10,000,000. I signed Batefembi Gomis (82) from Lyon for £18,000,000 and was looking set for the Season, when my best Player Hernanes (84) threw a spanner in the works and declared he could no longer stay at the Club. I took the first Offer I got which was from Barcelona for £34,500,000 which was over £11million more than his estimated worth so I couldn't really turn that down. While I bidded for a whole load of young CAM's, I decided to move Mauri over to the CAM Position and managed to sign Hulk (85) for £33,800,000 which I was well happy with. Deadline Day came and I made one more signing which was Diaby (77) for £4,900,000. Beat Stuttgart and Arsenal in Pre Season whilst losing to Valenenciennes, and have played a couple of in the League so far, beating Chievo at Home 2-1 and drawing Away at AC Milan 0-0.

Started a Man U career the day after I got the game but waited for a season to pass to post about it. So far enjoying the game very much, lots of little improvements which makes it much better than Fifa 11. Still has little points I dislike, for example the things the commentators say aren't always correct. They go on about how my team can't win the league and can only challenge for Champions league places yet I'm second, 3 points away with a game in hand. The other thing which is a bigger problem is CPU player growth, young guys like Neymar and Gotze have grown to 87+
Onto my actual career, playing on Pro despite playing much higher diff on Fifa 11 I'm finding it hard in Fifa 12. I didn't make any transfers in Jan keeping it realistic but that didn't stop the other teams. Snedjer and Cambisso to City and plenty of other big moves I can't remember. Started off weak losing the Community Shield to City in a 3-2 thriller which was only kept alive through Rooney. Rooney went on a goal spree in the league netting at least one every game for months. I'd just get to the outside of the box and curve one around the defender into the back of the net.
Injuries are much better. Evra was my first big injury which allowed Jones to step up into the starting 11. Nani also got injured giving Valencia a spot in the s11. Defense wise, Vidic was playing great apart from giving away pens every few games. Ferd was good but couldn't play two games too close together. While Jones and Smalling did decent, making mistakes but improving along the way. Rooney's goal scoring came to an abrupt stop at around the 19 goal mark but luckily the rest of the team started to score.
My second team were doing well in the Carling Cup and got us to the finals against Fulham mainly thanks to Welback and some help from Diouf and Macheda who could play on the wings. Owen looked useless and decided against using him from then on. Park, Berba and Carrick were all complaining about play time. I sorted out the last two but Park was always complaining. Giggs said he'd prob retire. Brought up one or two youth players and they both got little amounts of play time as subs, one even getting an assist.
Onto Jan more big moves included RVP to Barca and Benzema to Liverpool. I bought a 19 year old CAM Brazilian with Engine and Speed traits just to help the squad a little. Got some offers for players in both transfer windows including a 31 mil bid for Hernandez and plenty of interest in Smalling and Fabio, none of which I accepted. Rooney was picking up some more goals but not as good as previously in the season. Evra came back to full health then got injured again. Gibson and Hernandez also got injured long term. I was playing Cleverly and Anderson as my starting mf's and both were playing well after a shaky start.
Won the Carling Cup 1-0 and progressed to the semi's in the FA Cup against Liverpool. I fielded a second team with Ferd there to help defend but went down 3-0 by half time. Second half I pulled one back then another on 90 mins but got eliminated 3-2 in the end. Started losing points at the end of the season and Chelsea were close behind. Went down to the final game against Sunderland where I won comfortably 2-1 with Rooney netting two taking his season total to 31 goals. Giggs did retire so I gave him a run out on the last game and in the celebration cut scene he was on the one laying next to the cup.
Season went on for another 2 months or so without games, it was strange before it actually ended. All 3 promoted sides went back down and up came Blackpool, Nott Forrest and the Foxes. Lots of player growth in one season, 4 added to Anderson and Jones taking them to 82 and 80. Lots of other growth like De Gea to 83, Smalling and Cleav to 79. Players not played much grew and so did one of my youth signings who didn't even play. Signed back a few players but let Owen go. Had offers from all kinds of places: Germany, France, Russia but in this game I just plan on playing as United to get used to the game.
Strangely all the loaned out guys from Jan didn't return so I had to buy them in the Free Agents. My main transfer was buying someone to replace Giggs. Bought Xherdan Shaqiri for 30 mil, hopefully it works out even though at the moment he's my forth choice for the wings. Gave Nani the number 11 shirt, Young no 7 and Shaqiri his usual 17. Got some other ideas for signings like Pato and Eriksen but they are too expensive. Planning on getting rid of Park and possibly bringing in Albrighton from Aston Villa. Loaned out the guys who were on loan last season along with a few youth squad guys. Apart from De Laet who grew ot 72 last season, I plan on playing him a little and an extra defender will do well.

Started my first season with Man Utd the day I got the game. Sold off a few fringe players, nobody major that could feature in the first team. Bought in Mauricio Isla from Udinese for around £13million, Sami Khedira for £16million, an English keeper called John Smith from the free agents pool, loaned in Philippe Coutinho from Inter, as well as bringing in a couple of youth team prospects. In January, I sold off a miserable Michael Carrick to Everton for £9million, and used the money towards bringing in Cieran Clark, Marc Wilson and David Beckham.
Ended up winning the league by about 20-25 points, and reached the final Carling Cup and F.A. Cup finals. Chelsea destroyed me 5-1 in the Carling Cup, whilst a last-minute goal from Aguero was enough to beat me in the F.A. Cup. Rooney ended up as top goal scorer in the league with 33 goals.
The board retained me and I started to do a bit more of a clearout. Kuszczak to Portsmouth for £2.8million, Lindegaard to Espanyol for £5.1million, Park to Inter for £9million, and Berbatov to Bayern for £11.6million. Drinkwater, Brady, Couto (academy signing) and Pogba all went out on loan. Brought in Coutinho permanently for £20million, Zhano Ananidze from Spartak Moscow for £11million, Anton Shunin from Dynamo Moscow for £6million, Ross Barkley for £8.5million, and replaced Berba with Bojan from Roma for £22million.
Form was bad starting the season off, although I smashed City into the floor in the Community Sheild with a 4-1 win. Bojan, Rooney and Hernandez started well but I soon grew tired and quit.
Just started a new campaign with Barcelona. They have an amazing first team but absolutely no depth to the squad. Loaned Ruben Mino out to Almeria for the season, and sold off Keita to Man Utd for £6million. I loaned in Joel Obi from Inter and Aaron Ramsey until the end of the season. Henrique and Hleb were both recalled from their loans. Bought in Markus Henrikson from Rosenborg for £10million, Stevan Jovetic for £29million, Bastian Schweinsteiger for £35.5million, and Thiago Silva for £34million.
Started pre-season badly (3-1 win over Atalanta, 0-0 against Swansea, 1-2 loss to Arsenal). Real beat to the Spanish Super Cup. They beat me 2-0 away and then I won 3-1 at the Nou Camp, so they won on away goals. Slow start to the league campaign, with three 1-0 wins on the trot. Then Messi announced his intention to leave. However, with just under 5 years left on his current deal he's going nowhere! Messi starts smashing in goals here, there and everywhere starting with a 2-0 win over Osasuna, an 8-0 demolition of Valencia, a 3-0 win over Atletico, and a 4-0 win over Gijon. Happy so far!

Anyone whos got to a second season, do they refill your budget? Or is it still like where you get one budget for the whole game?

Started a career with Swansea earlier today. Sold Routledge, Dobbie & Agustien. I started at 8 Million so when all these sold i ended up with 14 Million which was quite nice. I snapped up Ramsey on a season long loan which will replace Agustien. On deadline day i saw Barry for Man City was up so i tried getting him for 6 Million. Man City wanted 8 Million so i offered that and got him on the last hour of deadline day which was pretty nice.
I drew all my Pre Season games against Juventus, Inter Milan & Siena. Started the season against Man City and got a point against them which was good then beat Wigan & lost to Sunderland. Played Arsenal next at the Emirates, which i thought i was surely going to lose. Surprisingly, I beat them 4-2 which was really good. Next game is against West Brom.

I hope the start of my career isn't going to reflect on Newcastle's actual season. Like the real life counterparts I too was undefeated in the first 7 games, then lost 3-2 to Spurs. It puts me in 2nd place 2pts behind Man City but with a game in hand. Chelsea dumped me out of the league cup in the first game 1-0. Don't know how that happened 'cos they had a weakened team and I played full strength.

Anyone whos got to a second season, do they refill your budget? Or is it still like where you get one budget for the whole game? They renew it. I may be completely wrong in suggesting this, but I'm unsure whether the amount is based on your performance in the previous season or whether it's a set amount every season.

So after the signing of Berbatov I still felt my squad lacked a little something up front. After starting with a win over Everton I lost to Man United 1-0 at Old Trafford. Was really unlucky as I dominated the game. Then played Man City and lost 4-0 even though I deserved a point. Next up is Liverpool. As the transfer window was closing I had around £14 million left. Liverpool offered me 12.5 million for Giovanni Dos Santos which I accepted. I then used the 26 million I had to make a cheeky bid for David Villa, Kaka and Pedro. Amazingly all 3 offers were accepted. As I needed a striker I opted for David Villa. He scored on his debut in the Carling Cup against Exeter. Hopefully my form will improve now with a decent striker in

I started with £40 million, which was the money I got for selling Luka Modric.

I finished my season with Swansea earlier. I had some pretty amazing results with them like beating United 3-1 and also beating Arsenal 4-2, Home & Away. With a season full of high's and low's i finished up 13th which i thought was quite good.
At the end of the season i got offer's from Nottingham Forest, QPR & Monaco. I decided to go to QPR as they have a fairly good team. I'll update you all on transfer's later.

Got Gillingham promoted in my first season (simmed a lot though). I just couldn't get into it, hopefully with a few new signings I can start playing more in League 1.

I had £8 Million to work with at QPR. I decided to sell a couple of player's so i sold Campbell & Bothroyd. That got me to £15 Million so i decided to buy Ross Barkley from Everton for £6 Million then try and get El Shaarawy on loan from AC Milan. Milan accepted so then all i needed now was to buy a striker. Liverpool came out of nowhere and offered me £12 Million for Barton which i accepted, Now i was at around £23 Million and started looking up strikers. I was considering Henry from Red Bulls but decided not to when i saw Diego Forlan up for £9 Million. I put a bid in for £10.5 Million which Inter accepted, Then i had to do his wages. My 1st attempt he declined but a couple days before the transfer window ended i quickly tried again & this time, He accepted. Im pretty chuffed with the player's i've brought, Hopefully this is going to be a good season.

I like on Career mode you can swap teams from different divisions. Might move the Old Firm to the Premier League later and see what it looks like

Playing my season as Spurs, sold off most of the fringe players and got around 3 million for them. Chelsea offered me 43.5 million for Modric which i declined, then Arsenal offered the same on deadline day, but he refused to go God damn Croatians! Sold Pavly and Corluka for 9 million, sweet! Gomes went too Bought Adler in goal, (He's a MACHINE. Reflexes like a cat) Iaquinta for £2.1 million as a backup striker to Defoe and Adebayor for cup matches. Then poached Beckham and Donovan from LA Galaxy for £9.5 million. Nesta came for 4 million and he's great, real morale booster. Top of the league after 5 games, beat Liverpool 6-2 which i was chuffed about. Had a quality match with Wolves with i won 5-4, and thumped Aston Villa 4-1 in the Cup. Harry Kane being the top goalscorer for League Cup at the minute Oh and other transfer news...Man Utd sold Hernandez and Rooney and didnt really get any replacements apart from Hernanes. Liverpool signed Higuain, Arsenal sold Chamakh and Song, and then bought David Silva for 40 million! Crazy transfer window

Started a new career with Stoke City as I was doing miserably at Chelsea.
I sold a lot of players, such as Walters, Jones and the fringe players. This set me with a fair budget so I made the signings of Podolski (18.5m), Felliani (8m), Maxwell (3m), Beckham (3m), Rafael Sobis (2m) and Thiago on loan from Barca.
I'm 6th in the league so far, 8 wins/4 draws/2 loses.
Podolski is immense.

Carried on this a few months in my second season. In regards to the question about money, its just the same as Fifa 11. I put Park up on transfer getting a 6.5 mil offer from Napoli which I accepted. Looked around who I could replace him with, ended up with two Coleman from Everton and a player from Ajax. Went with Coleman and now regretting it. I didn't really need another winger, I should have got a midfielder who could play all over. I expect to sell him after a season if nothing comes good of it. Put Carrick on sale hoping to do the same but I wanted about 8mil from him, got an offer from Everton but was only 6.5 so I rejected. Then I got a message from Rooney saying he wanted out. Shocked me a bit, I liked the realism but really didn't want to lose him. I didn't really know what to do, so after a little bit I put him up for transfer. He still got 2 years left on his contract but I thought I could still get rid of him. New update in the new was that plenty of teams wanted him: Barca, Madrid, Bayen so I was expected loads of offers but got none. Finally got one from Man City for 60 mil which I rejected, knowing they had over 130 mil in the bank after selling Tevez, Aguero, Silva and Snedjer all in one transfer window. I messed up the transfer as I didn't have a clue what to think but still rejected. They waited till two hours to go to offer 77 mil which I accepted but it was too late. Same with Anderson for 22 mil. Onto the games, I won the community shield over FA Cup holders Chelsea. Then had a horriffic start to the season, getting silly draws and losses which kept me in the middle of the table. Lots of players were complaining about play time mainly Nani, Carrick and Valencia. Shaqiri played fantastic in pre-season and his first United start in the Champions League, he can run between players like Messi. He's still behind Nani, Young and Valencia to get to the first team but I see him at least being the back up replacing Valencia by the end of the season. Rooney stopped complaining after deadline day but still lacked the skill he had last season. Instead of curling it from outside the box it was going wide, his shoulder to shoulder runs failed and any build up play didn't work. Seems like he's hit form now, knocking in a pen then two others for a hattrick then a volley the game after knocking his season total to 7 in 8 games and to the top of the goal scorer list. There was loads of players I wanted to go out on loan but nothing happened, so they're just there in my squad only used in cup games. Guys like Brady, James, King and youth squad players from Spain. Currently sit 7th after a shakey start, don't know if I can win the leauge but I'll give it a try and try for the cups.

Quick question guys as i've started a Player career with my virtual Pro. Does this mode progress to Player/Manager then Manager, or will I have to start a new game to be a Manager?

Game ing crashed 2 matches before end of my first season. I am so sick of this, its been every year since Fifa 04 that the games have had this bug where they crash in season mode. I was really enjoying it as well was top of the SPL with my great January signing Matt Derbyshire scoring 16 goals in 14 games for me and now my game is ed and I have to start again.
