The covers look fine outside of Nightwing and the Riddler's mohawk. Honestly aside from those issues they all look like the old DCU.

I don't like them bringing Barbara back as Batgirl at all. I hope that's just a tease or something. Bad move.

I don't like them bringing Barbara back as Batgirl at all. I hope that's just a tease or something. Bad move. Gail Simone posted this on DC's blog: “Barbara Gordon is pretty much my everything. Because of the Batman TV show, she was the reason I fell in love with superheroes. Because she was a redhead who could kick ass, she is the reason I fell in love with comics. She was always forward-looking as Batgirl, a girl who was smarter than the male characters, who had class and elegance and style, as well as tough-as-nails grit. For a long time, there was simply nothing else like her in comics, and for me and a lot of other readers, her every appearance was joyful and explosive. For many years, I got to write the character as Oracle, and there is to this day, no character who means more to me. This is classic Barbara as she was originally conceived, with a few big surprises. It’s a bit of a shock, to be sure, but we’re doing everything we can to be respectful to this character’s amazing legacy, while presenting something thrilling that a generation of comics readers will be experiencing for the first time… …Barbara Gordon leaping, fighting, and swinging over Gotham. Now, when citizens of that city look up, they are going to see BATGIRL. And that is absolutely thrilling.” It's also been confirmed that Nightwing will be Dick and the book will be written by Kyle Higgins, art by Eddy Barrows. And another new book: Red Hood and The Outlaws, written by Scott Lobdell and art by Kenneth Rocafort. And Todd will be Red Hood but I can't wait to find out why he has a Batman symbol on his chest.

I understand what she is saying, but i think the Oracle character became something bigger than Batgirl ever was. Not to mention, that being a good, interesting, handicapped hero was fantastic. And I think taking away what the Joker did to her, really puts a damper on the Batman/Joker legacy.
I wonder what happens to the other Batgirl?

Okay, that Red Hood cover has me intrigued.
They've also said there will only be one Batman again, which kind of pisses me off because what the hell was the point of Batman Inc then? It's so strange for them to abandon such a high concept. Also, lol at renumbering David Finch's series, despite there only being 2 issues. Thrilled Damian is staying on but I was REALLY enjoying Dick's turn as Batman.
They win. I'll follow Batman and Robin for my love of Damian and Nightwing so I can get my Dick Grayson fix. I'll check out the first couple issues of the Red Hood to see if it sticks. I might stay away from Batman's main title and Detective Comics just so I'm not spending more money than I should be.

And now Grant Morrison's Batwing will be getting his own book for some reason: Going to be written by Judd Winick with art from Ben Oliver.

Man, all these look awesome. There's still a chance for failure, but my confidence level just went up for these books.

Batman INC news:
In the wake of our announcement of a historic line of new #1’s within the Batman family, many of you noticed that while several of the titles and characters spun out of the Batman, Inc. storyline, there was no mention of that series itself - but there’s a reason for that: Grant Morrison’s BATMAN, INCORPORATED series will return with a new issue #1 in early 2012.
Grant Morrison had this to say about Batman, Incorporated:
“Batman, Incorporated will continue through to Issue #10 and August’s shocking season finale that changes the Batman status quo yet again. The series will take a brief hiatus while I work on a major new project to be announced shortly. Batman, Incorporated returns next year with me, Chris Burnham and Batman: Leviathan, the epic 12 part conclusion to my 6 year Batman saga. Don’t miss it!”
Glad they're not canceling it, it would be a terrible way to end Morrison's story. Can't wait to see if Morrison will actually be working on Superman during the break.

Woot! That's awesome news. I'll stick around with Batman Inc. then. I like that they're building up the end of his run on Batman.

Seems like they're doing a helluva lot of Batman related titles in these new set of 50+ reboots. I'm not complaining or anything, just seems like they're concentrating more on the batworld.

All Star Western? Does that have anything to do with Jonah Hex?

All Star Western? Does that have anything to do with Jonah Hex? Yes: Even when Gotham City was just a one-horse town, crime was rampant – and things only get worse when bounty hunter Jonah Hex comes to town. Can Amadeus Arkham, a pioneer in criminal psychology, enlist Hex’s special brand of justice to help the Gotham Police Department track down a vicious serial killer? Featuring back-up stories starring DC’s other western heroes, ALL-STAR WESTERN #1 will be written by the fan-favorite Jonah Hex team of Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti and illustrated by Moritat. I posted a link to DC's site that has the details on all of those books, I didn't want to make my post too big by putting in all of those covers and details on the books. Also Blue Beetle is coming back, written by Tony Bedard, art by Ig Guara and Ruy Jose.

Yay the super titles! They were the ones I've been waiting for since the super family is high up on my favourites list. Im not sure about the costume re-designs(they got rid of superman's red trunks over the tights and Kara's mini skirt? noooooooooo!) and superboy is a cyborg? Hmm could take some getting used to, but as long as they are well written and I enjoy them the re-designs shouldn't put me off.
