If you beat someone in the top-10, you're a top-10 guy. Daley beat Kampmann, who was in (pretty much) everyone's top-10 at the time of the Daley fight. Can't say I agree. Beating someone who is a borderline top-10 fighter (ala Sanchez beating Kampmann) doesn't make Sanchez a top-10 fighter. Bottom line is, Diaz has VERY few wins against truly top-level opponents. The only one that's even arguable is Paul Daley. And the talent drop off between Georges St-Pierre and Paul Daley is so dramatic that it's hardly even worth mentioning them in the same sentence.

He lost all those fights, man. Also, it's not necessarily about actually getting taken down, though. As St-Pierre showed in the first fight with BJ Penn, apparently pushing your opponent up against the cage for 3 minutes of the round and *attempting* takedowns is good enough. Also, he got out-boxed by Sherk and his baby T-Rex arms. Granted, that was YEARS ago, but still. Let's be honest for a minute - Nick Diaz has zero wins over top-10 opponents in his career. Meanwhile, Georges St-Pierre has basically cleaned out the top-10 in the division while holding numerous wins over a couple of the guys. You seriously don't consider Daley a top-10 fighter? Heh. I consider Daley a top 10 scum bag. ;D

Apparently Nick Diaz has just vacated his Strikeforce Welterweight Championship.

That's a bummer. It would have been really special for him to have both titles if he were to win.

Apparently Nick Diaz has just vacated his Strikeforce Welterweight Championship. Yeah... Dana also said that Diaz will be regarded as a UFC fighter now - although he could return to Strikeforce at a hypothetical point in the future. I can see this sort of thing happening in some of the other divisions too... especially once the HW Grand Prix is decided.

I really hope the MMA world starts thinking that GSP will walk through Diaz. Why? Because that would most likely motivate Diaz to GSP up.
