That was one of THE BEST Q&A's I have ever read. they really flat out answered the questions yes or no.
I am so psyched we are getting a current Elite ROCK!
and the fact that the bella twins may possibly be a 2 pack is Killer.

Sounds like they will be releasing differently. It's probably going to be through Mattel.com or Mattycollector.com. Either way, I hope the prices stay the same at $15.99 and nothing like the MOTU prices.

Wow,this is really amazing for mattel,to answer all our questions.
I agree with what you said Tom,we should definitely filter out the questions,and make sure we don't repeat the same thing.
However,I am still worried about the Legends line.I hope they keep it active,and not 1 per elite series.

I'm glad to hear that they are going ahead with their plans for Savage. He was my favorite as a kid, and I was afraid his passing would also mean no more figures. I'm thrilled to hear that his grinning scan will still be released, and that the Macho King is a possibility.

Some great responses there imo. I am still marking for the Macho King. Hoping we see that, and his smirking scan, at SDCC. Elite Del Rio, WCW and ECW guys pretty much being confirmed regardless if we are getting specific lines for them, and then older titles still being incorporated, while seemingly a no brainer, is a good sign imo. I am definitely looking forward to the potential of Legends in the Heritage line.

Great Q&A. Very professional, honest and helpful answers. certain other toy companies could learn a lot from mattel...
an Unmasked Rey Legends figure not being approved by WWE is is totally the answer I expected, but not the answer I wanted lol. Not Mattel's fault though.
Was hoping they'd answer my question about a possibly doing a Legends survey, but it's good to hear some positive news about the future of the Legends line. And I guess the Legends strategy will be made more clear at SDCC. So I'll hold that question back till I know more about their new strategy.
I'm also dying to know if they're planning to get approval to include classic WCW belts in the Legends line, but they did say they will try to work older belts into the figure lines, so that's a good start. And I'd expect WWE would want more WWE belts made before WCW ones anyway. so I'll save that question for a future Q&A.
Man I'm so looking forward to the Legends DDP figure!! I'm just praying it's not another damn smiling/screaming headscan, and we can finally get a HEEL DDP figure.

STOKED about the Bella Twins!
Even happier about my Rumblers questions being answered, since I am a HUGE fan of them. In fact, I had other questions about the line that I held back on, not knowing if they'd be answered.
Next go around I'll have to for sure ask about the turn around time it takes for these little guys to be sculpted, and I'd honestly love to know who it is that is sculpting them - or if it's a team of guys. They're very interesting little figures, and I love the cartoony caricature look to them. I wouldn't even NEED to see a real title represented for them, just something as off the wall and unique as they are.
Right next to Elite's they're easily my favorite toy line out there right now. Love 'em to death!

I Dont care if Legends stay 4 per series, go a matty.com exclusive... or a rsc exclusive.... as long as we still get obscure legends im good. But really i hope they stay a regular line with series because they havent even seen the potential of the line yet. It would make sense to try a different strategy if guys like undertaker , hbk, bret and andre werent selling... but whatev, what do i know

I Dont care if Legends stay 4 per series, go a matty.com exclusive... or a rsc exclusive.... as long as we still get obscure legends im good. my thoughts too. the bigger name guys, they'll be released whatever the strategy... but personally, the majority of names i want Mattel to make in the legends line are not huge names or even main eventers in a lot of cases. but they are still names that without a doubt are deserving of a figure and should be made, and if released in the right way would still be popular and sell a good amount. i'm anxious that the new strategy will just focus on the a-listers and forget all the other important people from wrestling's history. |

Hope this happens as I want to have some legends in my collection but I don't really like the Elite style figures. Definitely getting Brian Pillman though, regardless of style!
