Loving the Dos Santos/Carwin match up. My #1 and #2 favourite heavyweights in the UFC. Two of the most likeable fighters as well. Can't wait.
I still stand by my belief that Junior Dos Santos is the best heavyweight in the UFC right now. It'll be interesting how a lighter Carwin does.

Junior Dos Santos Vs Shane Carwin - Via Unanimous Decision
Kenny Florian Vs Diego Nunes - Via Unanimous Decision
Jon Olav Einemo Vs Dave Herman - Via Second Round TKO
Demian Maia Vs Mark Munoz - Via Second Round Submission
Donald Cerrone Vs Vagner Rocha - Via First Round TKO
Really not sure about Carwin/Dos Santos. I don't think Junior will finish Shane; but will probably rock him a few times through the fight but Shane will clinch up and get the takedown to regain his composure. And I'm not sure if Shane will still have that one punch KO power since he has slimmed down.
I'm fairly certain it will be an awesome main event but I'm going with Junior via a UD. Still wouldn't be surprised if either guy winds up with a blistering KO though!

Gotta pull for my Calgary homeboy Nick Ring, wanna see him succeed. Also, I think Dos Santos is a better fighter than Carwin, as Carwin's endurance, and skills aside form his stand up have yet to be tested. I also ama very big fan of Dos Santos, as I think he is one of the classiest damn fighters around, still shocked he gave his winnings in TUF coaches challenge to Lesnar'a fighters and his own, such a class act. I think in that fight, if Dos Santos survives the first round, the fight is his, yet I have this nagging feeling that Carwin is going to beat him.

I think Carwin became aware of how bad his cardio was that night. He claims that it has been his biggest focus between fights.

Nothing is a certainty in MMA but I'm pretty certain we will see someone get knocked out in the Dos Santos Carwin fight.

I think Carwin became aware of how bad his cardio was that night. He claims that it has been his biggest focus between fights. Exactly. Carwin's been working a LOT on his conditioning... did you see how slimmed-down he looked on the TUF Finale interview? I think a lot of people are underestimating Carwin... sure he gassed-out against Lesnar, but - if Dos Santos gets hit and hurt - will he be able to withstand a Carwin onslaught? Only Lesnar has made it past a round with Carwin - and that was by the skin of his teeth. Although Dos Santos is technically superior and a decent puncher, Carwin has huge "put-you-to-sleep" power... we've never seen Dos Santos hit by someone like Carwin, so it will be very interesting to see how he handles it. I've got a feeling Carwin will get the KO/TKO win in the first round...

^ Yeah man, I could not believe how trimmed down Carwin looked. It seriously shocked me. One thing that kinda worries me though, now that he is ALOT lighter and trimmer, will he still possess the same brutal KO punching power as he did when he was bigger??
If he does, then I have a feeling there will be an upset in the making. I'd love to see Carwin drop Dos Santos because I don't think many people here think he can do it. He would shut up ALOT of people here if he can.
I hope he wins, but it won't be easy. His toughest fight to date, by far. I'm really looking forward to this awesome event.

I wouldn't exactly call Carwin over Dos Santos an upset. I think this fight is much closer and more difficult to call than Lesnar/Dos Santos.

I wouldn't exactly call Carwin over Dos Santos an upset. Yeah, true. I wasn't sure how to put it. Dos Santos is on a tear through the Heavyweight division and is currently undefeated and Carwin has only lost one time and the same guy that beat him is the ONLY guy thus far to make it out of the first round with him. It's a very interesting fight. A tough one to call. It can go either way. Remember, all it takes is one solid shot and you are out-cold on the canvas. Both guys possess brutal punching power. It could seriously come down to who lands the first shot because that's all it could take.

It could seriously come down to who lands the first shot because that's all it could take. Dos Santos has lost before, just not in the UFC. And I think this fight is toss-up, but you can't help favoring JDS a little bit more. We've seen Carwin get rocked badly by punches (ironic enough, it was at the hands of Gonzaga who JDS beat with ease), and we've seen him gas terribly. Meanwhile we've seen JDS go 3 rounds and not look too bad (though he was noticeably tired). And he hasn't appeared to be hurt in his UFC fights. I think this fight will boil down to who can implement their gameplan better. Can JDS use his speed to pick apart a chasing Carwin, or will Shane close the distance to get the fight against the cage for some powerful dirty boxing? Should be interesting to watch either way. I like Carwin, but I'll be rooting for JDS.

Can't help but go with Cigano on this one, though I like Carwin as well...much has been said about Carwin's stamina/endurance/cardio etc, but I think it will be the punches JDS gets through that will make a difference...all in all, should be a cracking main event.
