Posted on Spawn.com, didn't see it posted here: It’s officially a record-breaking show! AMC’s The Walking Dead is not only our favorite TV show, but now more than 9 million viewers have helped set a ratings record for the network by tuning into the second season final episode. With the second season full of massive surprises, shocking deaths and plot twists around nearly every corner, we have already started obsessing over where season three will take the survivors, and which new upcoming characters and zombies will take over toy aisles and office cubicles nationwide this fall. So, while legions of fans are anxiously waiting for season three to start, McFarlane Toys is increasing the anticipation with the announcement of its second series of The Walking Dead Action figures, slated to hit store shelves in October 2012. “As fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead series, our toy company is having a blast creating these figures with all the details and features iconic to the show’s favorite characters,” said Todd McFarlane. “My goal is to put out very intriguing figures and push the envelope, so that the true essence of the show is captured for all the fans.” So, let the obsession begin, The Walking Dead second series of deluxe figures will include both fan favorite survivors and zombies: Rick Grimes 2 – The small-town sheriff’s turned-hero and leader of the survivors during the zombie apocalypse, Rick continues to struggle with his moral convictions in season two. The deputy is definitely keeping fans guessing on what his next shocking decision will be. Rick will be featured as a brand-new sculpt in his civilian attire, prevalent in season two. Shane Walsh – Rick’s partner and loyal friend has become the antagonist of season two. Shane will be featured in tactical attire with his newly buzzed haircut. Love him or hate him, we can’t wait for his next move. Bicycle Girl Zombie – The maimed zombie girl shown crawling next to her bicycle in a park turned out to be one of the most iconic zombies from season one. She is also the first zombie Deputy Rick Grimes encountered in the season one opener. Well Zombie – A rotten, bloated zombie surprise resting at the bottom of Hershel’s water well that the survivors eventually attempt to hoist out by using Glen as bait. This is by far one of the sickest looking zombies seen yet on the series, and our figure is one dead on, stomach-churning replica. RV Zombie – During the opening scene of season two, one of the most intense scenes happens as a mob of flesh-eating zombies swarm the group. Unaware of the flesh-eating zombie onslaught, Andrea becomes trapped in the recreational vehicle when one climbs aboard. Under attack from this “RV” Zombie, Andrea fights back, stabbing the zombie in the eyeball with a screwdriver. Each human figure includes multiple interchangeable accessories and several points of articulation for limitless playability and customization. Each zombie figure features unique, gory play action. Figures are expected to sell for around $12.99 to $14.99 at stores nationwide. There is still time to start collecting McFarlane Toys’ first series of The Walking Dead TV Series 1 figures. The figures are now available at Wal-Mart, GameStop, Barnes and Barnes & Noble, Hastings Entertainment, Toys ‘R’ Us, and comic book and specialty stores nationwide. For more The Walking Dead action figure news and announcements, stay tuned to www.mcfarlane.comwish they'd confirm if the comic series is done or not... I really want the Governor and Glenn!!!

Still seeing all of these in stores. I haven't bought any of them yet. I don't think much of the TV ones at all. The comic Rick figure wasn't a great likeness, but the TV Rick is terrible. And Darryl is even worse, his arms are very strange. I'm tempted to just get them all, but I feel like I'd end up feeling I'd wasted my money.

I think the TV likeness are very good. But the articulation sucks because of the preposed sculpts. If they aren't posed in the pose they were sculpted in they look odd...so the articulation is pretty useless.

I love the detail McFarlane toys puts into their figures, but they're so damn brittle & fragile. Sadly there was a time when a figure from McFarlane could fall 5 feet to the floor off a shelf and not have a mark or break. Now they do use cheaper plastics and some of the figures just fall apart. As cool as these look I will continue avoiding McFarlane figures. Much like everything else these days... cut corners to save money

Picked up Rick and Zombie Biter at my Toyworld Collectibles Store today! also had the zombie walker and no Daryl (Who I ordered from online) but at $29.99 AUD Each I couldn't afford all 3. Great figures! love the accessories with Rick...Big fan of the series and had to buy the figs. Keen for Series 2! Still need to try and get the variant of Rick with blood splatter but the prices on eBay make me think otherwise

I'm ready to see Prototype images of Shane. This is the only figure I'm interested in. He better not be released with a bloody nose either.

I don't know of it splits, we can only hope as that would be great and a hell of a lot of guts to hit the floor.

Does the well zombie split in half too. From spamS Description: 'A rotten, bloated zombie surprise resting at the bottom of Hershel’s water well that the survivors eventually attempt to hoist out by using Glen as bait. This is, by far, one of the sickest looking zombies seen yet on the series, and our figure is one dead on, stomach-churning replica. Figure includes 9 points of articulation with a pull-apart play-action that reveals his soft gooey guts inside. Accessories include attached rope and canned ham' It looks like it does glad to see some prototypes, series 2 looks sick! can't wait to get them all!

Ha that's cool. Bicycle girl comes with a patch of grass, so I think that the well zombie should come with a well, just the little part that sticks up from the ground. Do you think it's possible or no?

lol. I wish they weren't watermarked all over the pics. it's hard to tell how they really look. Although I might get two of the Rick so I can head swap one with my extra Series 1 Rick.
I had Shane preordered since he was listed a while back (Month or two ago) and I just preordered the whole set.
