." I've had long hair for the better part of 3 years, and I hate having my hair short. But, since I'm the new guy, I wanted to get well-liked, so I told them I was up for it, and I was going to get it cut soon anyways. They also told me I had to dye my naturally blonde hair black. This, I was less pissed about, it was more that they want me to cut it. Then they gave me my new ring name: Devon Richards. Well, that's a sure-fire draw of a name. As long as I don't have to wear a sparkly Stormtrooper helmet and burst through walls, I'm fine with anything I guess. They told me my gimmick was going to be an arrogant prick of a heel, which was the best thing I heard that meeting. Then they dismissed me, and much to my surprise, AJ was standing at the door. Luckily, the creative team didn't see her. I asked her "How long have you been standing here?" To which she replied, "Long enough, Devon." and laughed. I let out a small smile and we walked outside a bit. We sat on some stairs leading up into the arena, and she asked me what show I'd rather be on, Raw or Smackdown. I told her the honest truth. "Whichever show lets me last here the longest." I don't know whether it's me or her natural personality, but the girl was grinning from ear to ear the whole time I talked to her. I've gone through some peppy girlfriends in the past, but she was happier than a cheerleading team put together. I took a lead that she had grown to like me in the what, 3 hours we've known each other, and asked her if there were any good restaurants around here. She replied that there were two or three that she and Kaitlyn had been to. So I half nervously, half awkwardly asked if she'd like to show me around and check out the restaurants with her. She saw right through that attempt. She told me that if I wanted to flirt with her, I could of just done it straight up, which caused my cheeks to get as red as a tomato. Shockingly however, she said yes, as Seth came out and yelled "Hey lovebirds, it's time for the afternoon session!" Moment ruined, thanks Tyler. However, the two of us strolled in together. So now, sitting in the locker room with Cockblock Rollins, Bateman, and Percy Watson, I grabbed some elbow pads, athletic tape, and put on some basketball shorts and my favorite Rise Against T-shirt. So now, it was my first workout session as a WWE superstar.
