Mattel gave a reason? Could you repeat it please? I tend to miss a lot of stuff as I don't get a chance to visit the board often! It's a really nice belt and the detail is amazing; the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. Hope fully they can find a way to add the platinum elements to it next time. The Kane figure is one of my favs, too. I only bought it for the belt, but now I've found it to be one of my favourite mattel figures. Sure thing. Basically the manufacturing process that gives the belts the shiny finish is expensive and as you know each set has a budget. WWE didnt want mattel to release the old tag belts but mattel pushed hard and got them released so they spent the money for making the belts shiny on the tag belts instead because we, pretty much are guaranteed, not to get the these tag belts again. Its a smart decision because the WHC will inevitably released somewhere down the line again. And yeah the Kane is great. Whilst it isnt 100% accurate for the night he won the MITB and world title, its one of mattels best pieces of work, they tend to do really well with Kanes. The only slight problem with this elite is on the night Kane didnt have his gloved hand taped up like it has. The molded wristband should b on the other arm instead and there should only be the glove on his right hand. He did have his gloved hand taped up during some of his WHC run but not that early on or the night this figure depicts. Anyway heres mattels explanation: The vac metallization process, which gives the belts the shiny metallic finish, is not an inexpensive process. Each series of figures has a budget. For this wave of Elites we felt more comfortable including the vac metallization process on the two belts with the Big Show since they are most likely going to be the only time we ever produce those belts. We are planning to include the vac metallization on a future World Heavyweight title belt in the Elite line. If any one is discouraged by this not to purchase the figure, I must take note to point out that the black bands on Kane's pants are a distinct and different black from the rest of the outfit, a detail that I was particularly proud to execute. Bill Thank you! That clears it up! I guess it's time to stop complaining seeing as we're getting two versions anyway. I agree with their choice as the tag titles were more important in regards to the possibility we may not get them again. Yeah, this is my first modern Kane figure and the head sculpt is spot on.

Thanks for the better pics of the World title ratedrwonderbra. It really doesn't look as bad as people are making it out to be. IMO, it looks great. My only complaint is that they didn't paint the diamonds on the side plates, but other than that, I can't wait to get my hands on that belt.

I actually painted them myself today and it looks much better!

It's Mattel's worst belt to date. I have it in my hands right now and although the detail is nice and there's really no other problem with it, it just looks very dull in comparison to the other belts...

Well, i´m very happy with the E10 WHC but the unreleased WHC looks a lot better in person!
I´m not sure if i´m allowed to post a comparison pic of both versions (i´ve both in hands).

Wow!
I see Mattel removed the shiny sheen from the WHC. So unlike the early version of this belt- pics which i posted many months ago.

I think it looks great, the only thing I don't like about it is that the side plates don't have the jewels painted. Hopefully this will be fixed in future.

I think I see what Mattel was going for here with this more dull metallic finish. The WHC title has so much texture that it never really looks super shiny on tv or in promo photos, whereas other belts like the IC title have large areas with no texture so they have a mirror-like polish & reflection. Mattel was just trying to provide the most realistic, true-to-life look possible. I think it looks great!

If the center plate wasn't so damn big the belt would be passable. It looks like Mattel couldn't make it any smaller and keep the level of detail on the center plate but it is just to big.

first of all the straps are amazing, a nice idea is to use the material of the toy kids belts you buy at toys r us and use it on these, it might make it more floppy and loose. i think that should bring alot more realism to it. As for the belt i think its awsome!
