Haven’t played Rock Band in about 8 years. Whenever it was when my daughter said she “outgrew” video games. (We just got her the Nintendo Switch last Sept for her birthday) lol Anyway our band was the HACKS. I doubt my fingers can move that fast anymore to play it. lol I actually just put the drums and guitars in storage about two weeks ago. I've been playing music games for 15 years. So if I ever wanna pick that plastic axe back up, it won't take much to get back into it. Now if only my digital talent translated to IRL talent. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

God the memories that come rushing back reading through this.
I recently got my hands on a working RB1 Strat. Bought a bunch of new tracks on PS5. It's crazy that Rock Band turns 15 this November. And the changes I've been through personally in that time. I was 21 when RB launched. Now I'm gonna be 36 in 5 days, I'm married, and have a 2 year old. And I'm still playing this game. That's the impact the entire Rock Band platform has had on my life. That's how deep it is buried inside of my soul. And it'll be there forever.

I was proud of myself Thursday night while playing RB4 on PS4 so I had to take a pic lol.  Also cracked the top 100 for total score on RB4 disc songs played on Pro Drums. I passed 50 million points earlier tonight for all songs played (thus far) on Pro Drums. I’ve got quite a bit of downloaded songs I need to play through, so who knows where I’ll end up. For what it’s worth, I use a stock RB3 kit with Mad Catz RB3 Pro cymbals. RB games are by far my most played of all video games I own. Lately I’ve been logging at least a couple hours at a time each session, and I’ve noticed my scores are improving for the most part. I mostly hover in the 98-99% range on Expert Pro Drums, although I do struggle quite a bit with fast-paced metal. Need to build up that muscle memory. I’ve been playing RB games since ‘09 (just before the Beatles game was released). Still feel like I have a long way to go before I can comfortably play all (or the majority of) songs, but I’m enjoying the journey. Doubt I’ll ever be a Full Combo guy on the regular because of my aging body kit. Yeah, let’s go with that lol. |

Definitely went ham the other night on PS5 for tracks.
Got close to 50 new ones. Wife got me $25 on PSN as a small V-Day gift so I used that and put another $50-$60 in.

I've officially started over on Xbox.
Don't have my original account, so while it sucks not having the past game exports, they do drip feed songs from those games sometimes as part of the weekly DLC offerings.
2 weeks ago was my restart, and I'm at 634 songs as of yesterday after buying all the Rush and Foo Fighters tracks I could.
