This verdict doesn't surprise me. They didn't present anything that actually proved she killed her, outside of poking holes in her alibi and using her actions afterwards to justify everything. Nothing actually showed she killed her daughter, put her in the trunk, and buried her elsewhere.
She could just be a really horrible mother that was more or less excited for life when her daughter passed away. Does that make her a horrible person? Of course, but that still doesn't prove that she's guilty.

Sadly she's this generations OJ. Hope they find. Something else to get on her on like did with OJ. Also I really fell her mom ed over the prosecution.

well look at it this way the jury was presented with all the info of the case without the media or any other knowledge. and there was 7 women and 5 men on the jury. so that says alot to me right there. if the women didnt think she did after everything was presented then that should say something. and her parents left the courtroom very fast. i still think they had something to do with it too.

No surprise. The prosecutors screwed themselves

I think most of you have forgotten that there is still a dead little girl here....Is the case still open?? Are they still going to try and track down her killer?? I mean, come on here damnit!! The little girl didn't just pass away. Someone ing killed her!! And that someone, in MY opinion, just got away with murder. Who else could've done it?? Who else could've got that close to the little girl?? The fact that she got off scot free, just drives me insane.

And with all due respect, we have just as much reason to doubt she did it as we do she did. Point the finger all you want, but there's nothing out there that PROVES beyond a shadow of a doubt that she killed her own daughter. And until actual prove shows up showing that she did indeed do that, she doesn't deserve to be punished for it.

Rikishi did it for da Rock.

But seriously, I knew she was going to be NOT GUILTY. I watched nearly every minute of the entire trial... and kept saying to myself "they haven't proved anything". I don't really understand why people are so shocked honestly.

^ How did she die then?? I guess she just wandered out in the woods by herself and died there, I suppose. Come on man....Someone had to kill her. There's no way she just simply passed away, give me a break.
She was a perfectly healthy young, little girl. There isn't a chance on this Earth that she just died of natural causes at such a young age. Someone definitely killed her. I don't care what you or anyone else says.

For someone so deeply vested in the outcome of this trial, you couldn't make it more plainly obvious that you didn't pay a lick of attention to any of it if you tried...

The bottomline for me: Find the person(s) that KILLED a little girl and make they pay I think most of you have forgotten that there is still a dead little girl here....Is the case still open?? Are they still going to try and track down her killer?? I mean, come on here damnit!! The little girl didn't just pass away. Someone ing killed her. Did you watch the trial? But given the technology in this world, there had to have been at least some education guest to the cause of death.

Maybe it's just me but people get off scott free all the time and the ONLY reason people act differently about this case is it made the national media. Also it doesn't matter if it was a murder, rape, drug trafficking, what have you a crime is a crime and it's kind of sad people only care either when it affects them directly or it hits the national news.

It's not enough to "know" or "think" she's guilty. They didn't do a great job of proving it. I think most people believe she did do it. Well put. We all know she did it. They just can't prove she did it. IMO the jury did the right thing. I know i wouldn't want to get put in jail with the case they had on her. Agree 100% It's good to know that no matter what people on the jury thought happened, they followed the rules & made a decision based on lack of evidence. If they can't prove what happened, then there's always doubt. Having said that, I agree that she got away with "some part of it" & it's a shame that a little kid is gone. I doubt they'll continue to investigate, because they had the person..just had too many question marks surrounding it for a conviction.

No offense, but I hope she gets hit by a car or shot outside the courtroom. as one canadian to another, c'mon. that's not a good way of thinking whatsoever. i understand the atrocity she committed, but to wish something upon her is not justified.

You'd be right about that. My sister was murdered and the murderer only got one year for obstruction of justice. Yup, that was it.

Casey claimed it was an accidental drowning in a pool. I believe it was in there backyard.

People are murdered everyday. This isn't the first case where something has went wrong & won't be the last. If you're really concerned. Go protest/riot. But the simple fact that we don't have proof, to prove that her mother killed her is just there. I've read over 100 topics of people complaining about the "system" & hating her mother, when they're just so beyond lost it's ridiculous. The system did it right, they didn't have enough proof, which is fact. Her mother could very well be the killer getting away free (which like I said, happens everyday) - but there isn't enough proof to prove she did it.

While I agree with the fact that the evidence wasn't good enough to convict Casey, I hope that bitch gets justice served to her in one way or the other.
