Got all 4 of them today, and with that, my requirement for the Vince McMahon figure is down and out of the way. I was shocked yesterday when I saw them. I looked in the aisle and directly across from it in the main aisle, and saw jack nothing for good stuff and was thinking "Of course my TRU doesn't get the stuff that all the other TRU's in the country are getting. But then....about 20 feet down, close to the bikes near the back of the store, there was the display of new stuff. The one side had Rumblers and Basic 11 Sheamus and Big Show. 7 Sheamus' and 5 Big Shows. Everyone else was cleaned out. The other side was gold. A ton of DM2 [the aisle had both from DM3 as well], Legends 5 and Elite 9. No Miz or Zack Ryder from Elite 9 thought. Went back today, nothing new, they didn't fill the display up. So I grabbed all of Legends 5. 4 Bam Bam, 3 Akeem, 3 Rick Martel, and just 1 Macho Man, so I definitely grabbed him, and he will be staying MOC for obvious reasons. Took some pics, so enjoy. Or not. LOL.
First, from Cocoa Beach, Florida. Weighing in this afternoon at 226 lbs., he is "The Model" Rick Martel!!!
Truly the underrated figure of the set, Rick comes sporting purple trunks, kneepads, and boots. He also has gold-rimmed sunglasses, a purple bow-tie that is removable, a cloth black jacket with a button pin that reads "Yes, I Am A Model", and a spray pump of his cologne, "Arrogance". The cool thing, first, about his jacket, is that the button is velcro attached, and comes off so you can fix it to the right side of his jacket, as the picture shows on the carding. I like the detail of adding the tassels to his boots, too.
Next, from Deepest, Darkest Africa. He weighs in at 457 lbs., this is Akeem The African Dream!!
This figure is *MUCH* better than the Jakks counterpart. Though that's an obvious statement. From the detail on the attire, to his hat not being soft material, and him coming with his yellow over-shirt. The scan looks so much better than Jakks just adding long hair to the existent One Man Gang scan, and Akeem on the side of the boots, same on both.
Introducing third, from Asbury Park, NJ! Weighing in at 387lbs., "The Beast From The East", Bam Bam Bigelow!!!!
Easily my favorite from the set, barring Randy Savage. Where to start with describing the detail on this amazing figure? Let's see. He's wearing his famous flame ring jacket that we never got with Jakks. He's got flame gauntlet arm covers, that Jakks didn't produce. The front of the jacket has his logo, the 3 B's, and the back says "Bam Bam Bigelow" in silver lettering. After removal of the ring gear, you will see Bam Bam wearing his trademark flaming jumpsuit in the dead center of his stomach. And here's yet another improvement from the Jakks counterpart. The flames on the side do not cut off as they reach halfway around! The flame paintjob is continued the full way around his attire, and looks close to the trademark flames that Bam Bam is recognized for. He is wearing short black boots with white laces, unlike the tall boots that Jakks gave everyone with the same lower body mold that the Bam Bam figure had.
And last but most certainly not least.....originally from Sarasota, FL, now taking up his residence in Heaven....weighing in at 239 lbs....the undisputed King of ALL that is MACHO.....RANDY SAVAGE!!!!
Since Imageshack is a bitch today, I just uploaded the pics to Photobucket, and made it an album. Check out my PhotoB to see the pics. Thanks guys.
