I just got back from my local TRU where they brought out and opened the promotional Vince display for me. The box was still sealed, and I even helped the employee remove the cover, so I know that nobody else was there before me.
I looked through the display and only picked out the four figures I needed, plus Eve for MicroDiva's collection. When I looked through the assortment of Legends Series 5, though, I realized that they didn't have any Akeem's at all. Instead, they over-packed Macho Man (About 10) and Rick Martel (About 6) but only had 2 Bam Bam's.
I'm glad I got my set from RSC a few weeks ago but just thought it was strange that there was no sign of the African Dream. Is Akeem shortpacked in all the WWE displays?

I just saw an Akeem on the display today. Only saw 1 Bam Bam.

My store didn't put out the display they just put the figures on the pegs. and he was there today

I guess they had Booker T spin the Mattel Roulette Wheel for each of these display assortments, then.
I shouldn't complain about my local TRU's display, though. They did have 2 Eves, about 4 Daniel Bryans, 2 Zack Ryders, and a LOT of Kofi, Orton, & Macho Man, so I guess we got the fan-favorite assortment. It kinda sucks that there was only 1 Miz, especially since he's such a good figure with an awesome (No pun intended) belt!
I'm glad that others are finding Akeem, though!

I saw a few Akeems today, the legends seem to be the only thing my TRU DIDN'T sell during this promotion, all the Elites except for Gallows were gone and only Show and Sheamus remained from Basic 11

I picked up an Akeem off one stores display and saw Akeem at a second store as well. Stock of figures varies store by store.

i actually just went to my local toys 'r' us about 3 hours ago and there was a crapload of macho man's (bought 1 for myself), about 4 martel's, 4 bam bam's, and 5 akeem's. i don't know what was purchased or when they put the cases out but there was plenty to choose from.

The other day when I was at TRU I know I saw atleast one Akeem. There might of been a couple more but I know I saw him. They mostly had Bam Bam and Martel though.

My guess would be because Akeem is not that popular. While on the other hand, Macho Man is not only a legend but a recent death will result in an increase in supply and demand.

From the stories I've been hearing, it seems the displays were put together randomly. Some people found an abundance of certain figures, others found none. I found a couple Akeems when I went today.

I only saw one when I went. There were tons of Savage and Martel, and at least 3 Bigelows.

My TRU had like 3 to 4 Akeems.

Mine had 2 or 3. There were like 2 of 3 of Bam Bam, Martel, and Akeem, and then like 5 Macho Mans I think. I think we have established though that there isn't really that much rhyme or reason as to how the displays were packed. Seems to be just sort of a mixed bag from each series.
