Okay, I know there are tons of topics on this already, but just hear me out for a second. So, I started thinking. TRU has royally sucked as far as getting new stuff in. The newest things mine had were Elite 3, Best of 2Packs I guess you can call it and the WM26 Singles. Then with the whole Vince promotion, they get B11, E9, L5 and DM3. If you look on the UPC codes, they have Elites listed all the way up to series 12, Legends to series 6 and DM to series 5.
Not really a question that has a specific answer, but more of an opinion; do you guys think that this may mean TRU will actually be getting these new series in rather quickly before the promotion is over? I mean, why add the UPCs if the figures won't be in the stores in time for the end of it?
Your thoughts?

TRU is always like this. They are slow in the beginning of the year and then halfway will get tons of stuff and then once it gets to Christmas, once all their stuff is sold out, they will reset for the new year and it starts all over. Hopefully TRU will get a flurry of new stuff so I can get some Vince figures before the promotion ends. I'm planning on getting Legends series 6 & 7, Elite 10, 11 & 12, the Legends 2-Pack if it's the Rockers, and Defining Moments 4 & 5.

Interesting theory, and I think you make some good points. All I can say is I hope you are right. Why would they have UPCs for things like Elite 10 or 11 or a new Legends 2pack if they weren't getting them in? It may be wishful thinking though as that could just have been a precaution Mattel took with TRU to make sure that whatever they got in fell under the promotion.
I like what they did with these displays. They have a case or two for each set and that is it. Essentially, Mattel controlled the distribution. They seem to be moving pretty quickly at my TRU too. Lets say the display is empty by the end of the month, which seems super realistic imo, then maybe they ship another one in August. It controls TRU from over ordering and keeps the new stuff coming out.
I will say though, it's hard to have faith in TRU since they essentially went from Elite 3 to 6 to 9 around me. I think TRU just over ordered, a lot, and then screwed themselves up because they were so far behind. I hope the new stuff sells and they get set on refreshing much faster. If I have to pay $2 more but I know the new stuff will always come out then so be it I guess.

You best hurry up by Friday because where I live the promotion ends July 8th. If Mattel is running the promotion and say it ends Sept. 3rd, then that's when it ends. Your TRU is wrong. Sorry.

It would be great if mattel ALWAYS had a stand in TRU like this one. Then mattel would be controlling the ordering. I love it! I have L5 and E9 from RSC, so all I really needed from the display was B11. I just love seeing all new product. And a lot of it. Keep it up mattel

I liked how the displayed popped up in every TRU at just about the same time. I hate when stuff shows up in one location then it takes about a month to get somewhere else.
