The Babymakers. Another stupid movie choice made because of the leading lady...c'mon Reager, get it together... ...that's better, redeem yourself by finally watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Loved it, and it made us miss the originals even more...but for what it was - a home run. Boyega and Ridley were superb.

Sing Street. 8/10. Good coming of age film with some fantastic writing and performances, and the older brother is basically an Irish Chris Pratt

Dredd, absolutely still a great movie. How this doesnt have a sequel but Divergent has multiple sequels is why the aliens havnt contacted us.

The Lord of the Rings TrilogyUsually I'd do indivudal reviews for each film even in a trilogy but LOTR is such a continuous story I felt there was little point. When I was younger I hated Fellowship, enjoyed Two Towers and adored Return of the King. How things have changed. I absolutely loved Fellowship this time around. Amazing start to the trilogy, fantastic groundwork laid and way more gripping than I can remember. I really enjoyed this movie, probably more so than the sequels this time around. Two Towers however really ruined the trilogy for me. I found the first half so incredibly boring, such a slog. Fortunately the battle of Helm's Deep is so incredibly awesome it makes up for it and those scenes really had me feeling tense. The Urak Hai and Orcs are genuinely scary in this movie and the atmosphere in this battle is just awesome. Absolutely incredible. I remember enjoying this movie a lot more when I was younger so it's a shame it didn't click with me at all this time around. Return of the King was the movie I was most excited to see again out of the three simply because I loved it as a kid. I remembered fantastic battle scenes and non stop action throughout... Now I'm not sure if Two Towers killed off the trilogy for me, but once again I found parts of Return of the King a slog. Some great battle scenes of course and a great ending to movie giving viewers closure to an epic story. However I just found parts of it silly and rushed, such as when the army of the undead swept through Sauron's army. Still a cool movie and tense at times but sadly not the movie I remembered. An epic trilogy of course, aesthetically amazing and brilliant storytelling but it falls flat in parts and becomes a slog. The Good, The Bad & The UglyOne of the greatest movies ever made. Simple as. The storytelling in this movie is amazing. A slow build but action packed at the same time. I love a good western and the scenery and cinematography blew me away. Clint Eastwood delivers Blondie's lines the way only Clint can and he remains charming despite being a complete bad ass outsmarting everyone standing in his way. Absolutely love the character of Tuco, truly a rat whose greed has no limits, and of course the sinister Angel Eyes makes for a great dynamic of characters and interesting individual stories. Those final scenes are tense, exciting and very rewarding. The culmination of an amazing build up that left you with plenty of questions answers them quickly leaving no prisoners. Brilliant stuff. Fight ClubSuch a fan of David Fincher's and this film is always a cracker of a watch. Meaningful and witty dialogue that really makes you think or scratch your head and fantastic performances from Edward Norton and Brad Pitt make this film a classic. The gritty scenery is compelling as are the characters. The film needs no explaination and I mean how would you explain it anyway? It's barmy. Some amazing shots and it just oozes cool. A product of the 90's, but an all time great.

Ghostbusters (2016)
Wasn't a giant piece of sh*t like everyone was claiming it to be.. It's actually watchable and entertaining for the most part.. And this is coming from someone that hates Melissa McCarthy's shtick with a passion.
Leslie Jones is fun and I love Kate McKinnon.. I use to love Kristen Wiig but over the years I have found her to be more and more annoying..
This movie is VERY hypocritical at times though.. Apparently girl power and women equality means men absolutely HAVE TO be seen as ugly weirdos or total idiot sex objects.
The biggest flaw this movie had though was calling itself "Ghostbusters".. That alone killed any chance this flick had.
It deserves a watch, but that's about it.

Kill Bill volume 1. Finally added to Netflix and good to see it again. Also watched Volume 2, the underwhelming one. In bursts today was able to watch both volumes of Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac. I didn't mind Anti Christ and to some extent this definitely had an extremely similar feel (a Von Trier trait) but man...at no point did it interest me in the slightest, even though I could see where it was coming from.

Checked out ARQ on Netflix yesterday. Thought it was a really cool flick. It makes a lot out of a low budget and a small cast. I love time travel films and this one keeps it simple, while pushing the plot the entire time. It's really pretty character driven. So it's a nice film imo and one I'd recommend anyone check out if you have Netflix and need to fill an hour and a half.

ACtually, i just finished watching money monster, the movie with Julia Roberts and that douche who wore the batman suit with nipples. You know that movie? Believe it or not, i actually was very, very impressed with Jodie Foster's direction and Julia's performance. Like, really. I don't like Julia in previous movies because i feel she just plays herself, like a know it all, someone who can't be vulnerable or weak. But in this movie, she is so believable and plays her character with such conviction that i honestly believed her every step of the way. I recommend watching this movie, but if you can't forgive clooney for talking about the syrian refugees, saying others countries should open their borders to them while not opening his mansions to even one refugee, then maybe give this one a miss. Also, george dances in this movie. Like an idiot. LOL
