The Emoji Movie. The Emoji Movie is not as inventive in its plotting or as clever in its wit as Who Framed Roger Rabbit or such Disney animated films as Beauty and the Beast - it's pretty much a buddy movie transplanted to new terrain. Its best pleasures are for the eyes - but what pleasures they are! Watching the film, I felt I was in at the dawn of a new era of movie animation, which draws on the best of cartoons and reality, creating a world somewhere in between, where space not only bends but snaps, crackles and pops.
Overall I give it a perfect 5/7.

Up until a couple of days ago I had only seen two films by Darren Aronofsky. I'm completely caught up now. Half of his movies I found ok.

X men Dark Phoenix.
I enjoyed it. Wasn’t a masterpiece but I thought it was better than most seemed to think.
When that woman said to magneto, “I don’t want to fight with you.” And he said “I get that a lot.” I popped pretty hard. Erik is the sht

John Wick 2. The 'party' scene that takes them to the catacombs is just brilliant. What an action piece.

John Wick 3. Feels like the weaker of the John Wick movies, but still a really high quality movie. The knifey-eyey scene is pure bliss.

Honestly, this one was a delight to watch and has proven itself to be a rock-and-roll movie classic. A lot of people will say that this was just a vanity vehicle, but I found it to be one of the smoothest, freshest, funniest films ever made for purposes of exploitation. I think time is ultimately going to cast this one as one of the great life-affirming landmarks of the movies. I'd go as far as to say it just may be the Citizen Kane of jukebox musicals. All in all, I give it a 4 out of an even 17.
