Maltese Falcon, absolute classic. Bogart at some point became one of my favorite actors.

Poor Things Shite. Nice design in sets/environments and the effort on that front was great buuuut it’s a very surface level film that was very disappointing. Soulless really.
Aftersun Really nice film, captures a lot of feeling in what are incidental moments. Nothing unique but certainly impressive in its simplicity. If you’re British you get a lot more from it.

Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, good movie, not amazing but a worthy franchise entry.

Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, good movie, not amazing but a worthy franchise entry. that's how i feel about it. i liked it, it was a good and fun watch, but at best its tied for 3rd place with afterlife for the canon ghostbusters movies. and thats not saying its bad, just gb 1 and 2 are such huge pieces of my childhood that no other movie in the franchise will take the top 2 spots in my ranking. i also felt a big real ghostbusters/ghostbusters extreme vibe from it. kinda like an extended, live action episode. so if they can put out a movie every few years pulling some influence from the cartoons, i'm all for it

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Really enjoyed it & I agree it feels like a live action sequel to the cartoon.
