NOOOO!!!!! The only suitable replacement to fight thats free is Machida. Unless they want to risk putting Tito back in there but I don't think they will. So Rashad waits a year, gets hurt therefore loses his title opportunity against Shogun, is given another one but the Jones drama saw him lose that opportunity and now he possibly has to fight Machida again. Rashad got super ed here in my opinion. That being said, I expect another Machida win here

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think its possible they stick Tito Ortiz back in there with him. Tito's already in shape and his popularity just surged again. There's a chance they try to capitalize on it. Plus I think Tito said a while ago he wants to rematch Rashad so he'd take the fight. For Rashad's sake he better hope its Tito because if he has to fights Machida again, I don't see how he beats him.

Yeah, I was thinking either Tito or Machida. More than likely Machida because he's been a couple months since he last fought.
Tito beat Evans the first time around, if it wasn't for the whole point deduction.

I'm major pissed. This is the year of the injury. Machida would be nice, but I'd like for him to have a proper training camp, despite owning Rashad the first time.

I think Rashad can beat Machida if he sticks with his style that he fought Rampage and Thiago Silva with...
I would LOVE to see Tito get that rematch. Tito won the first fight but nobody gives him credit because its Tito...

"I have a life and things to take care of. The fight game is about making the right choices of my career. If you knew what I have been going through you all would understand. Peaking for a fight is what makes a fighter unstoppable! Timing is everything in life. This is a rebuild year for me not do or die. The time will come again"
Tito declined.

According to MMAmania: - Phil Davis suffered a knee injury in training that forced him out of his upcoming bout against Rashad Evans, which was scheduled to go down at UFC 133 on Aug. 6 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Thankfully, Brazil is just a phone call away.
Lyoto Machida has reportedly answered the call to step in for the ailing "Mr. Wonderful," on just three weeks notice, and will rematch Evans in "The City of Brotherly Love."
HeadKickLegend.com brought word of the replacement shortly after it was revealed that the UFC 133 main event was in peril.
The first time these two met was back in May 2009 when Evans was the light heavyweight champion and Machida was the unbeatable, elusive Karate master.
And as promised, the always dangerous Brazilian boxed up and battered "Suga," knocking him out in the second round to usher in what Joe Rogan called "The Machida Era." While that call turned out to be premature, the memory of that night is still surely fresh on the mind of Evans, especially since it represents his only career defeat.I actually MUCH prefer this fight to the Phil Davis one...

Yeah, I mentioned HeadKickLegend reporting this...
Apparently though, Lyoto hasn't accepted. He hasn't declined either, though. I expect an announcement tomorrow.

I don't think its ruined at all. Lyoto vs Rashad is a way better main event than Davis vs Evans

I'd rather see Rashad vs. Tito, achida or Franklin tbh, I wasn't itnerested at all in a Rashad/Davis fight. I wanted Tito, but oh well. I hope now it's Machida, and I hope he beats Rashad again. Anything to keep Rashad away from that title.
