SPOILERS
was i the only one who thought it was incredibly anticlimactic for Voldemort to just fizzle away like a napkin that had been set to fire?

I think you need to see more movies. Rickman was great in this, as always. However, for barely being in the movie, how is that deserving of awards? Because of really well done, 5 minute flashback? Definitely better than Part 1, easily. Obviously, since it was "Camping with Daniel, Emma and Rupert" - Triple S Is that all you do? Just pick apart peoples posts all day? Its called having a opinion. If he thought it was the best film he ever seen then so be it.I want to definitely go see this film. Everyone i have talked to that went said it was awesome and worth the watch. I'm glad someone finally said it.

Firstly I thought this film was amazing. A perfect end to the story. Im gonna buy all of them now and watch them all again. Tell us about your Harry Potter film rituals? For the first 5 out I always caught them at some point but had no special routine. The first one I got for Christmas(The American version) The second the same. The third I saw in cinema on release day. The fourth and fifth i've never seen The last 3 me and my mates have gone to see it on release day. Do you dress up in HP costumes to go to the film in? No but I've seen a lot of people do it. Do you get together with the same set of friends? For the last 3 films I have Do you go with members of your family? I went to the Prisoner of Azkaban with my Dad Do you go to the same theatre? For the last 3 yes How many of you have been to midnight showings? Never Did you watch any of the DVDs before you went to see the latest movie? No

...

No, I'm sad, but not THAT sad.
Do you get together with the same set of friends?
I've seen them all more than once in cinema, and always with different people.
Do you go with members of your family? I've seen most of them with my Mum.
Do you go to the same theatre?
No. How many of you have been to midnight showings?
Only Deathly Hallows part 2.
Did you watch any of the DVDs before you went to see the latest movie?
Yeas, went through them all in the week or so leading up to the release.

Movie was good, but it was a little rush.. It could of been a lot better if they made more of the scenes like they were in the book. I enjoyed it , I might buy the entire collection if it's release as a bundle.

I wish they had added a tiny bit more time to the Ginny, Ms. Weasley, and Bellatrix Lestrange encounter. One of my favorite moments in the books.

So I finished re-reading the last book again... And I'm really disappointed in this part of the movie... Part 1 stuck more closely to the story... I hope the dvd redeem's it a bit. But they botched the ending and the battle between Harry and Voldemort, 2/5

If there's one thing I really wish there had been more of in this series, it's Remus. His and Tonks' deaths were still sad, though.

Ugh, really not happy with this film. The ending 19 years later was horrific. Ginny in her late 30s? Lmao. The ending of the battle was completely underwhelming. There were no 'goodbyes' at the end which would have been nice...the acting was a bit wooden at times. Snape was awesome, but that's about it. I mean, it was good, but not the amazing ending I expected which everyone has described.

Sometimes I feel that if something has been hyped up too much I can't find myself enjoying it nearly as much as I would, had it not been built up.
Going to see it tomorrow, in 2D. Going with a friend, my girlfriend and her little brother. Quite excited, after first watch it is definitely my favourite Potter.

as someone who has not read the books at all, but has watched all the movies multiple times...
I just got back from seeing it tonight and was simply blown away. Everything was done perfectly as far as I'm concerned. There was so much emotion involved with the whole movie. I was confused, angry, sad, happy, vindicated, sorrowful....all kinds of emotion. I really feel like they did a absolute FANTASTIC job ending what is honestly my favorite movie franchise ever.
oh and Snape really is the best character in the entire series.

I personally Loved the movie the only problem i had was when i was sitting in front of someone who already saw the movie and litterally spoiled every single scene for me which was unwanted smh that stuff pissed me off. Other than that the movie was great

I didn't read any of the books either, but saw all the movies as well.
I was wondering through most of the movie "Where the hell is Hagrid?" Then I saw what happened. And I was hoping Gwarp would come out & help in the battle, but I didn't see him either.
Spoiler-
Did anyone notice that Harry's scar disappeared when it showed him 19 years later? Or is it just my poor eyesight?

Finally saw this tonight without my girlfriend and I got to say WOW. I didn't read any of the books but I have watched all of the movies. This one definatly did an outstanding job of putting all of the pieces together. I think it should have ended right after Voldemort died, I thought the "19 years later" thing was sort of cheesy. But other then that a great ending to an outstaning series.

I just came back from seeing it. I lost interest in the series when it got up to the 4th one, but now i wish i went and saw every new movie, i never realized this but Harry Potter is the Star Wars of my generation. ' I went out to see Bad Teacher, sold out when i was in line (of course -_-) so i just decided to see Harry Potter (I was going to see Brides Maids, but it started an hour later ). Anyway, i had no idea what was going on, because i haven't seen the last 3 movies, but my friends told me what had happened... kind of... I really regret not seeing them, i was really blown away with it, loved the ending. A couple of times i said "Imagine that in 3D!!" So i think i'm going to watch through the series and watch it again in 3D, i'll probably enjoy it even more. Kinda sad it is over, thought nothing of it when my Uncle gave me a pirated VHS 10 years ago. But i'm so happy it turned into this over the years. Can't wait to see what people think of it years and years on.

This is the only movie series I can think of ever that has lasted 8 films consecutively, and only got more popular, creative, cinematic and grew in scope since inception.
Other series like Bond, Indy, Star Wars, either fizzled out as the sequels rolled in, or just constantly rebooted/replaced cast members.
HP has been consistent, bringing the vision of a multitude of directors to one very specific piece of literature, and translated it wonderfully. I don't care what the skeptics who read the books and say 'you can never make it as good!' want to claim...this is about the best you can do as far as adapting an entire series of novels. Quite an achievement.

I'd like to see an entire box set of all 7 films. Imagine the extras? Imagine the price?
