Is anyone here looking forard to the new film? I know it's an English series, but it's a big thing world wide. I'm going to the midnight screening tonight. Going to start off with Part 1, and then Part 2 will start just after midnight. Been going through all the films, recently, too.

The only downside is that it's going to been shown in 3D tonight. Totally going to see it in 2D next week.

Can't go see it until Tuesday due to work, which highly upsets me due to how much I love Harry Potter. Oh well, will be amazing when I do get to see it.

I'm pretty damn excited about it.
I've been in the camp of not caring about Harry Potter for years. I read the first three books, saw the first three movies, and hadn't touched it again until this summer.
I had planned on getting around to buying the boxed set once this final film was released, as I figured there was no point in trying to get them all individually now. However, when the Columbia House Blu-Ray deal sprang up a few months ago, I grabbed the first six and ordered the seventh shortly thereafter.
I finished them up a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it, much more so than I ever expected to.
I'm hoping to get a chance to check this one out this weekend, but I may hold off a week for the crowds to die down a bit. I'd also prefer to see it in 2D, but I suppose that'll depend on what my friends want.

Seeing it tonight, in 3D. Not pumped about 3D, but it was the only ticket that was available.
Plus, I'm going dressed as Batman. TDKR trailer will make this movie that much more awesome.

I've never been into the Harry Potter series. A friend of mine has recently been going on and on and on about how great it is and how excited he is for the new movie. I also saw a trailer for it when I went and saw Green Lantern, and have to say, it looked pretty good. This past weekend they aired all the previous ones back to back on ABC family, and while I didn't sit and pay complete attention to all of them, I caught bits and pieces and enjoyed what I saw. I may actually sit down and watch them all and maybe even check this one out. Hopefully it's as good as all the real fans are hoping it is.

Seeing it tonight, in 3D. Not pumped about 3D, but it was the only ticket that was available. Same here. My theater has about 16 showings of it tonight and all I could get was 3D. But at least I hear that they have spent lots of time, effort and money into post converting it. So hopefully it's good.

I wonder how much time, money, and effort has to be spent to make post-production 3D not suck.
