CM Punk, Triple H, John Cena, Vince McMahon Following Money in the Bank, a major chance was quickly rushed in to World Wrestling Entertainment. CM Punk appeared on Raw following his WWE Championship victory at Summerslam and claimed that only one thing would make him stay and that was the passing of ownership from Vince McMahon to CM Punk. Vince reluctantly agreed and disappeared from TV as CM Punk ruled over Raw with an iron fist. Several weeks later, Triple H returned as a member of wwe staff, to inform CM Punk that the board of directors is going along with this for now, but tells Punk that he must defend the WWE Championship at the pay-per-views or he will forfeit the belt. Triple H then personally tells Punk that he will get revenge for what Punk did to Vince McMahon.
At Summerslam, The Rock made an appearance demanding that John Cena be reinstated so the match of all matches can take place at Wrestlemania 28 and warns that if this does not happen, it’s likely his home city of Miami will back out of hosting Wrestlemania. Punk says there’s no chance this is going to happen but “Head of the Board of Directors” Triple H shows up once again to remind Punk that if the Board don’t feel he’s making a profit (finding a new arena at this point would cost a bit) then they have the right to relieve Punk of his duties. Punk reinstates John Cena, and The Rock disappears for several more months.
While current CEO of the company, Punk makes the rule that if Alberto Del Rio ever decides to cash in his Money in the Bank on him, he will be abruptly fired on the spot. While allowing this ruling, the board informed Punk that his title defences would be booked by them after Punk decided his first defence would be against Santino Marella. Punk cheated, scratched and clawed his way to victory against various top talents on Raw before Triple H eventually returned to tell Punk that enough was enough, and reminded him of the promise of revenge several months back. A match was made for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 28 between CM Punk and Triple H with the added stipulation, if Punk loses, he will give up his powers as CEO while if Triple H loses, he must leave and never come back to the WWE.
Randy Orton, Christian, & Mark Henry After becoming a 2x World Heavyweight Champion at Night of Champions, Christian successfully retained the championship against Randy Orton at Summerslam in a steel cage match. Christian would keep hold of the title till Hell in a Cell where Randy Orton would win the championship back for his third reign with the belt. Christian would demand a rematch to take place at Vengeance but the match would be interrupted by Mark Henry who would destroy both men, in the process making it clear that he wants a World Heavyweight Championship match.
In recent months, Mark Henry has not only injured The Big Show but also Kane following a brutal assault that ended with a Worlds Strongest Slam of the stage. With Henry being so dominant it seemed clear that a title run was in his near future and it finally happened at TLC in a tables match where a Worlds Strongest Slam through a table gave Henry his first world Championship victory. Henry would hold on to the championship going in to Wrestlemania where he’d be facing the Royal Rumble winner
Kings of Wrestling, Edge, & Christian The new year did not start well for Christian as he was attacked by two unknown men on Smackdown, seemingly turning him face in the process. The two men would end up being Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero, who called themselves the kings of wrestling. Along with their associate, Sara Del Ray who went by the Queen of Wrestling. Castagnoli and Hero made it clear their attacks on Christian severed a purpose as Christian was once known as one of the top tag team wrestlers in the company. Around this time, Edge made a one off appearance to promote a new WWE DVD on his life, but he till fell victim to a KoW beat down. Christian would make the save and the tag team contest would be announced for Wrestlemania 28, with the Kings of Wrestling telling Edge he was a fool to come out of retirement and they’ll make sure he lies the rest of his life in a wheel chair.
Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, & Mark Henry Everything was looking great for Daniel Bryan who was the Money in the Bank holder for Smackdown. He announced he was going to pick his time right but was called out by Wade Barrett who challenged for the Money in the Bank briefcase. Bryan accepted and sadly came up short, handing over the briefcase to Barrett like a man, only to be kicked in the head in the process.
Bryan didn’t let this slip up get to him how ever as he battled his way back and surprised everyone by winning the Royal Rumble match, entering at number 5. Bryan was told he was a fool to challenge Mark Henry as he was a monster that couldn’t be stopped, not even Wade Barrett who tried to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase after an Elimination Chamber match was successful in defeating the monster, thus becoming the first man to fail in cashing in the briefcase. Mark Henry would attack Daniel Bryan in the weeks leading in to Wrestlemania, some even questioning if he would make it to the event.
Chris Jericho, & The Undertaker While Elimination Chamber will be remembered as the day a Money in the Bank holder lost his cash in match, it will also be remembered for the return of Chris Jericho, who returned to announce to the world that it would be him to challenge The Undertaker to end the dead man’s streak. Jericho got no response for weeks, and claimed that the Undertaker didn’t have it in him any more. Each week, Jericho would come out with a mock up opponent from Taker’s Wrestlemania past but The Undertaker would still not appear. Jericho claims he is going to be at Wrestlemania and if Undertaker doesn’t show up, he is going to claim that the Undertaker’s streak is beaten and that Jericho was the one to do it.
Cody Rhodes & Kane Following his return from “injury” from Mark Henry, Kane began feuding with Cody Rhodes over looking like a monster. Cody claimed that the two men should be working together to make the rest of the world as ugly as them but Kane claimed that he is no longer a monster and he just wants to be left alone. Cody took exception to this and began mocking Kane, no longer wearing his protective mask but an old Kane mask. Kane and Cody Rhodes would go at it at a few ppv events but it’d all come to an end at Vengeance where the two would do battle in an Inferno match. The set up to the match saw Kane tell the world that maybe the monster inside needs to come out just one more time, and he showed up at the pay-per-view in full body suit and mask. While a good story, this was basically to allow Kane to take the fire bump safely. Cody would cheat his way to victory pretty much throwing gasoline on Kane seemingly blinding him, causing him to fall back in to the fire. Kane would run up the ramp on fire before being put out by near by medics. When the smoke was cleared, Kane was no where to be seen.
Various random details - Alex Riley became a member of the Smackdown roster after losing a Loser Leaves Raw match to the Miz - John Morrison would also appear on Smackdown returning there from Injury - The "Rags to Riches Ladder Match" was announced for Wrestlemania 28 to basically get people on the card. It's a ten man ladder match with the prize hanging is a sack filled with $1,000,000. The percipients in the match are The Miz, R-Truth, Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, Alex Riley, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, & John Morrison. - Kelly Kelly would eventually lose the Diva's title to "The Queen of Wrestling" Sara Del Ray, Del Ray dominated the diva's division till Beth Phoenix took a stand and the title match was made for Wrestlemania. Jinder Mahal didn't last long and was released before 2011. JTG, Joe Hennig, & Johnny Curtis were also released from their contracts. - Brodie Lee & Jay Lethal were both signed to contracts, Lee has yet to appear on screen but Lethal appeared on Raw along side Xaiver Woods, kicking up a storm in the tag division. - Jack Swagger turned face late 2011 after Michael Cole & Miz mocked him constantly.

I hope we can get like a preview of each match, some such as Rhodes vs. Orton have not been explained. Some of these storylines are awesome, CM Punk and Triple H's storyline is pretty good, wouldn't have thought of it. I'm liking Jericho vs. Undertaker too. I hope you stick to this, good luck.

I actually dislike the card.
I'm fine with Rock/Cena. I only hope it goes on last.
Punk/Triple H would be a fine main event and I'd be more than happy to watch it. However, part of me is wanting to see someone different in Triple H's spot. You have had more than enough time in your backstory to build up credible face title contenders such as Kofi or Morrison.
Mark Henry vs. Daniel Bryan is an awful main event. At WrestleMania, it's worse. I just can't buy this being the best possible match you could put together for Smackdown. I think Bryan is ready to be pushed to this spot but Henry's time has been and gone. Again, you've had plenty of time to build credible main eventers and it hasn't been done.
Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker would be great but I feel that with his career winding down 'Taker would not record potentially his 20th victory with a win over Jericho. 1.) He's probably going to retire on 20, and it makes sense. It's a good number. 2.) Jericho is not big enough to be in that position. Victory #20 should be MASSIVE, against Cena or someone who can push some real power behind the storyline, which makes me think you should have allowed 'Taker time off until WrestleMania 29 to face Cena.
Orton/Rhodes isn't great. It's been done before and wouldn't contribute very much to the event overall. I'd definitely see Orton in or around the main event instead.
KOW/E&C would be great.. if it didn't include Edge. He's retired. He can't compete under ANY circumstances. So, it's ridiculous to even see him listed to compete. It's a nice idea, but unfortunately will never happen and you should have known this.
I like that you turned Swagger face and gave him something to work with. I think he could make a great, fan-friendly patriotic character. He and Ziggler could put on a great match.
I think everyone is expecting to see this next year and I'm glad you went with it. Hopefully Sin Cara goes over. The win would benefit him more than the ageing Mysterio.
Couldn't give a damn about the Diva's, haha. Glad to see you're introducing new faces that can actually compete, though.
I like the Rags to Riches concept. I think it's a very sneaky way of incoporating a Money in the Bank-esque contest. Honestly though, I'm disappointed by the choice of competitors. Some of these guys should have moved up the card by now, and replaced here by lower card stars trying to work their way up.

Thanks for the feedback Chaz. While I disagree with several of your comments, your input is always appreciated.
- I thought CM Punk vs Triple H was a big enough match to counter Daniel Bryan vs Mark Henry. I can agree that it's not a great match on paper, but I feel that the story of Daniel Bryan losing the MITB briefcase, only to win the Royal Rumble and still have to overcome the monster, Mark Henry is a good story for wrestlemania. You say no credible main eventers were made but I'd say Mark Henry is quite easily a credible main eventer at this point.
- I seriously doubt one more match will kill Edge, Austin worked knowing his hext match could paralyse him for life for several years, what's not to say Edge doesn't take any bumps in the match and plays it safe like Bret Hart?
- I think one has to remember we're pretty limited to the amount of matches we book on the card. I'd have loved to have everyone in a big match with serious meaning behind it but there'd be 15/16 matches with each match getting 5-10 minutes, no one wants to see that.

No problem at all, dude.
I just feel you could have done something completely different with stars that have high potential. Guys like Ziggler and Rhodes are guys that could really have been built up to face Bryan. I can see the angle you were going for with Bryan trying to overcome the odds, but this doesn't necessarily have to be against a "monster" type character such as Mark Henry. He's been in and out of the main event for the last 5 years and I don't think he's shown enough to warrant being the top guy on Smackdown.
One match might not kill Edge, but it's one more step towards ending up in a wheelchair. He retired on a high note, so what does he have to come back for? To risk permanent paralysis for one match a year following his retirement? It doesn't make sense. Nothing was ever certain with Austin and he did have surgery to help with his injuries, similar to Edge. However, they caught up with him too and we haven't seen him wrestle since. Bret's involvement in the ring can hardly be classed as wrestling and I'd like to think Edge would never degrade himself in such a way.
What I meant by my final point was that guys like Del Rio, Kofi, Morrison and Sheamus should be challenging for World Titles and competing in high profile feuds. I just think they have more potential than ending up in what honestly is a filler match. Also, not to mention Del Rio portrays a character that is incredibly rich. Why would he want to put himself through a tough match for what his character would consider to be pocket change?

You can't compare Austin and Edge. Austin's body was messed up for years, but he still wrestled through it. Edge gave up wrestling as soon as his life was put at risk. What would be the point in Edge returning if the only thing he can do is some punches? His body is so messed up he can't even do the spear now.

Aside from the Edge thing, which is pretty unrealistic for the time being, I think the Mania card is pretty solid. I like the story between Henry/Bryan and Punk/HHH. Taker/Jericho would be fabulous to watch as well. Cara/Rey is a match I see happening at Mania for sure. I dislike ten man ladder matches so that could be hard to write or even follow for that matter. Good luck with this Hammers and Star!

I personally like the Mania card. While Henry/Bryan will definitely not be match of the night, I think the story behind it is well enough for Mania. Rock/Cena, Punk/HHH, Jericho/Taker should all be fantastic as the other main events. PLEASE give Rhodes the win over Orton. Cara/Mysterio is something that needs to go down at Mania imo so I'm glad you've gone down that direction. Ziggler/Swagger should be solid, and I love Sara Del Rey as the dominant women in the company and her against Beth should be very good. Two things I'm not so big on though. E&C/KoW is something that would've been amazing when Edge was healthy. I get that he can put on a Bret Hart esque performance, but it's just not the same and I fully expect Hero and Claudio to pull out the victory. The Rags To Riches ladder match is a nice concept to fill in for MITB, but there are so many names in this match that should be higher on the card. However, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt because as you stated, there is a limit on the number of matches that can be booked for the show. Overall I'm very impressed with the card and I can't wait for the show to be posted. Good luck.

The backstory for Wrestlemania 28 is decent, I have a few problems with the Kings of Wrestling and Sara Del Ray just coming in and winning championships not even a year into their WWE run. Also hate what you did with Punk. Oh well, the WM card looks good. I could see HHH taking the belt off of Punk. I have to agree, the WHC just doesn't have enough star power, but it would still be a good match. Loving the Undertaker and Jericho feud, I think we all know who will win that. Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes again? Why? I'll join in on the Edge can't wrestle club. Why would he return less than a year after he retires, especially on the grounds of why he retired? KOTW/E&C would be a great match, but highly unrealistic. Can't wait to see the Mysterio and Sin Cara match, hopefully you do it justice. Love the concept for the Rags to Riches match, gives some guys a chance to get on the show. All in all this is looking good, just a few problems here and there, but that's to be expected. Hopefully this hits the ground running and doesn't fail miserably.

Sounds like a decent class. I'd definitely expect to see Edge in their next year, and probably someone like Mick Foley. Jimmy Hart inducting Demolition is very strange.
