SUMMERSLAM: Great card tonight, I'm expecting some good stuff. John Morrison vs. R-Truth is a good choice for an opening contest. I like this layout, keep it for PPV's. Good match to open up, and kinda glad Truth won though Morrison needs a big win soon, hopefully a rematch win on RAW, though I feel John would fair better on SmackDown right now. Looking forward also to seeing where you go from here with Truth, especially with Night of Champions appraoching. Wade Barrett interview is good to hype to Fatal Four Way later-on. Looking forward to that. Glad you had this low profile tag team match in the 'filler' spot. Otunga and McGillicutty needed that win to help build up their momentum and credibility as a tag team alone from Nexus. Glad the Usos came close and got a chance on Pay-Per-View however, I hope you can progress the tag division in some way. Expecting to see Bryan retain here, as it would kill him if he didn't and Rhodes doesn't need to breifcase, I liked the cash in tease. Good finish to the match between Bryan and Rhodes will the head butt, seems like something Bryan would pull off. It's also a chance to continue this feud between Rhodes and Bryan through to the next PPV, possibly a triple threat match for the IC Title? That's what it looks like now since Rhodes attacked Bryan, I guess that works though the simple headbutt with the mask would've done the job. However, Rhodes' gimmick just added another level. Good segment there. Beth going over Kelly is fine, though I feel Kelly's reign could've lasted through to Night of Champions. I'm glad Phoenix is on top of the division. Expecting a rematch at the next PPV. I'd be surprised if Miz lost against Riley though it would help Alex alot. Good promo from the Miz. Wow, very surprised Riley defeated Miz but I am happy that you decided to push Alex like this. Good match there. Expecting Miz to go over to SmackDown though they don't need another heel, unless your turning him face which I guess could work if I'm honest. Mark almost assaulting Teddy is good, and I'm glad you found time for him on the even rather than just bypassing him completely. Lots of interviews tonight, though it's expected for a PPV. Fine interview by Orton. Christian retaining was the perfect decision as the other three shouldn't have it right now. Orton's distraction via Henry could result in a feud though with Night of Champions coming up I could just see a Triple Threat between Christian, Orton and Henry. Barrett and Sheamus need something to do to, I feel that this was a good way to get them on the card but they weren't very relevant in the match. Wow, another Interview? haha. I could see Del Rio vs. Mysterio going either way though it would benefit Alberto more I always love Mysterio pulling out a victory. Alright, Del Rio with the win there, that's fine. Wonder what's next for Mysterio though. Great segment there with Henry, I'm glad you didn't go through with the neck thing, it just wouldn't happen to be honest. I could see Booker T vs. Mark Henry and I like the idea of bring back Booker for such a match. Maybe there are too many interviews tonight, hah. CM Punk vs. Cena should be a good one, as long as Punk is victorious. Stephanie getting involved is shocking but I'm wondering if it was set-up. It could've easily been. The masked man angle is good, though I know you've done it before. I'm looking forward to see who's under the mask. I wish you would've ended it with the GTS if I'm honest but that's just me. You could be setting up McMahon vs. Cena teams for Survivor Series which would be awesome I just kinda hope you seperate Punk from the storyline and have him feud over the title somewhere else. Now Cena is fired I want him out for a few months, with a return, like I said, for Survivor Series but we'll see what you have planned. Great ending to a great show and a pretty long reply.

Bright lights and the big ciiiitttaayyyyy... Summerslam time. I'm not so sure about the yellowish font. Sure it fits the poster and logo and such but it kind of irritates my eyes. Maybe it's just my bad eyes. Anywho - to what matters more. Morrison and Truth opening up the show is great and I really like seeing Truth pull out the victory here - expecting revenge from JoMo in their next encounter. I liked the water bottle usage. Haha. Boring tag team match. I really hope you are able to revive this division because... well... it sucks. McGillitunga retaining I can deal with. The Usos aren't ready just yet. Bryan getting the win against Rhodes is good. Liked the face mask thing - reminds me of Mania with Rey and Cody. I really liked the post-match attack. Makes Rhodes look like more of a monster and I hope (if you get that far) he can win the world title in 2012. But hopefully he gets an Intercontinental title run before that. Beth winning the Diva's Championship is great. She really deserves to have it over pretty much any other diva other than Kelly right now. Would love to see her keep it until Kharma comes back... that'd be grand. Riley getting the win over Miz is HUGE. Definitely puts him over big. The only thing that I am skeptical about is that Miz gets huge live reactions and is tremendous on Raw with it. It kind of degrades him sending him to Smackdown. But it could work out for the best. I lol'd at Cole after the match. Christian retaining the World Heavyweight Championship is awesome. I hope he keeps the belt for a couple of months at least and gets away to at least one other feud than Orton. Del Rio beating Mysterio is very good. Even though it's like last year, it still puts him over more now that he is more established and has even more to prove. Grand segment with Henry beating the hell out of Booker. Not so sure on Lawler making the save on him, though. Maybe could of had somebody willing to step up to him come out that is actually credible. But it works. I guess Booker got knoc-shlapped duh hull out! Lastly, an amazing main event as it should be. Stephanie pretty much costing Cena the belt makes for something good. Shall be interesting what goes further from here. Plus the masked man... A good show, Elliot'o.

WWE SmackDown: Friday 12th August 2011...Good choice of opening contest to kick off the show with Sheamus beating Cody Rhodes. Would have been a great match in my opinion. I'm gonna be happy if Sheamus comes out of nowhere and wins the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. The guy deserves it a lot. He's actually ready now. I think Great Khali could have used the win against Ezekiel Jackson, but I see why he didn't win. It just sets us up for this interesting match between Zeke and Jinder Mahal. Mahal's not ready for the WWE Intercontinental Championship though, in my opinion. Wade Barrett beating Daniel Bryan was a fine match, nice first-hour main event. Surprised by Barrett getting the win, but it makes sense as he could get a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity this Sunday, whilst Cody Rhodes costing Bryan the match sets up their feud ending match ideally. Christian beating Justin Gabriel was a solid match, good opportunity for Gabriel, but it was obvious who was winning. And lastly, good main event with Randy Orton beating Mark Henry. Overall, a decent show, could have used another match in my opinion. Hell, you could have inserted last minute build for the Miz and Alex Riley feud by having an angle involved on SmackDown.
WWE SummerSlam: Sunday 14th August 2011...Poor Jack Swagger, losing to Zack Ryder now. I'm not too chuffed about that call, but it was a dark match. I'm not really digging the layout for the matches, it just comes off as really short and the size=1 font is a bad idea in my opinion. Good call to kick off the show with R-Truth and John Morrison's Street Fight. Morrison really needed the win though; the feud was all R-Truth dominating, and Morrison came off looking like a tool. This is hopefully their last match. Snoozer defense by the WWE Tag Team Champions against the Usos; this was the right time to give Jimmy and Jey the titles really. David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty look good, but really, the Usos look bad after several wins against the champs, and they fail to live up to expectations on pay-per-view. Still would have kept this feud on television only. Good match with Daniel Bryan and Cody Rhodes, not a fan of him using the Dynamite Headbutt as a finisher though. He uses a variation of the Crossface and now uses a Diving Headbutt as a non-submission finisher; remind you of anyone? Bad idea. Rhodes attacking Bryan afterwards makes me believe that this feud is not over; which is a bad idea. The post-match attack was unnecessary. You'll need a gimmick match to end this feud, and hopefully Rhodes wins it, since he's lost the last couple of feuds. Beth Phoenix beating Kelly Kelly was expected; girl power galore. Alex Riley and The Miz had a decent final encounter; great call for Miz to lose this, as it gives SmackDown some more star power. The cheap finish really hurt Riley though. You should have had him win cleanly really. Nice sendoff for the Miz I guess. This feud in the long run didn't do a lot for Riley though, and certainly hurt Miz a little. Christian retaining the World Heavyweight Championship I suppose made sense. I can see you stretching Christian and Randy Orton out to Hell in a Cell in the Hell in a Cell match really. Still not digging Wade Barrett trying to move up the card as a main eventer though. Sheamus on the other hand is oozing with potential. Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio had a good filler match, Del Rio winning made most sense considering that he is Mr Money in the Bank. Random segment with Mark Henry attacking Booker T on commentary. It seriously didn't do anything for me. He wouldn't just attack Booker at ringside on commentary with nobody foreseeing it. Uninteresting segment. Lastly, nice main event as expected, but John Cena should have won. CM Punk winning a second conseqeutive pay-per-view WWE Championship match against Cena makes Cena look like sh*t. He needs to look stronger than ever in this build for WrestleMania 28 against The Rock. I hope Cena returns and manages to beat Punk if they ever have another pay-per-view match (which they should) later in the year. Decent show, maybe a little too stacked, and the show went downhill after the World title match.

Truth/Morrison is a fine opening match to kick off the pay per view. I would’ve preferred Morrison to go over since Truth has been pretty strong. Disliked the tag team title match being on the show, there was no need for it to be on the pay per view, really. Bryan defeating Rhodes is the best decision. I can get behind the feud continuing, I guess. Phoenix winning the title is a very good decision. I see it as a new era for the women’s division, personally. Miz leaving RAW is another good call. Riley has plenty of guys to feud with on RAW while last I knew Miz pretty much feuded with everyone. I hope we don’t see another Christian/Orton match considering Christian pinned Orton. Del Rio over Rey is fine, as well. That’s another feud that seems to never die. I really enjoyed the Henry/Booker segment as it could be a great way to get Booker back into active competition. Pretty good main event with Punk/Cena. I hope to god that you keep Cena off television for a long, long time. It would be difficult to do as a booker but with the stipulation that he is fired and not just off RAW should mean he is gone for a long time and not just two weeks. Overall, a good pay per view.

| Monday Night Raw, August 15th, 2011 - The Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California. | WWE Superstars Tapings: Chris Masters defeats JTG; Gail Kim defeats Maryse. |
"Yes, sir, we promised you a great Main Event..."
Before the show opens up, we see a recap of what happened last night at SummerSlam, focusing on the WWE Championship Match. It shows some clips from the match between CM Punk and John Cena, and finishes showing the moment that a masked individual entered the ring, hitting Cena with a lead pipe and allowing CM Punk to score the pinfall. It then closes with a shot of John Cena standing in the center of the ring to a standing ovation as we cut to the opening package.
The pyrotechnics explode from the stage, and we are greeted by Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler as the WWE|HD banner flashes across our screens. They welcome us to the show and tell us how incredible and unpredictable last night at SummerSlam was, reminding us that not only did CM Punk retain the WWE Championship, but John Cena's contract was immediately terminate as a result of the loss, and therefore he will not be here tonight, or any other night. Lawler says he senses some smugness in the voice of Cole, and Cole says he isn't happy about what happened, but at the end of the day, CM Punk is the new face of the WWE and it is time for a change. Lawler says he doesn't understand Cole sometimes. Cole then says that tonight, we will see CM Punk's WWE Championship celebration, and also the celebration of John Cena's WWE contract coming to an end. Lawler calls it sick as we hear the theme of Rey Mysterio to an enormous pop.
Mysterio comes to the ring to an incredible reaction from his hometown crowd. He says that he may have lost to Alberto Del Rio last night at SummerSlam, but it hasn't harmed his fighting spirit. He admits to Del Rio being the better man on the night, and even though he did a terrible thing by removing his mask at Money in the Bank, he still has respect for him as a competitor. He says that tonight, he wanted to come out in front of his hometown crowd and tell them that Rey Mysterio is still fighting strong, and no matter how many matches he wins or loses, he will always fight for the WWE Universe. Suddenly, the words "The truth shall set your free!" echo around the arena to a ton of heat. Truth walks out, saying that Mysterio is cute, pandering to all the Little Jimmies in the crowd. Truth then turns serious and says he doesn't here any appreciation for him after he beat John Morrison last night. He gets a ton of boos from the crowd, and tells them all to shut up. He says that it's a conspiracy, that Rey Mysterio, a man who lost last night, gets a better reaction than himself, who won last night. He calls the WWE Universe "crazy", before consulting with his imaginary friends and laughing. Ironic, much? Rey Mysterio tells him that the WWE Universe isn't crazy, they just know the difference between someone who wrestles with passion, and someone who wrestles to hurt others. He calls Truth out, saying that he shows no passion, only anger. Truth says he doesn't have no anger, he's cool. The only time he gets angry is when he finds spiders in his locker room... then he's angry. The crowd laugh, but Truth is deadly serious. Mysterio laughs, and says that Truth is truly a unique individual. Suddenly, the Anonymous General Manager chimes in and Michael Cole gets up to read it to some heat. He reads "And I quote - it seems that R-Truth is upset about not getting respect from the WWE Universe, so tonight, he's going to get a chance to earn it. It will be R-Truth, taking on San Diego's own... Rey Mysterio!" The crowd erupt as Mysterio smiles, happy with that decision. Truth says he will wipe that smile of Mysterio's face, because he's "gonna get got!". We then cut to a commercial break as the Raw theme plays.
Commercial Break.
#1 | United States Champion Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger with Vickie Guerrero defeat Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne. | | In recent weeks, Dolph Ziggler has been in an interesting situation with Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre, concerning his United States Championship. This match featured Kingston, who was looking for a win over the Champion, but unfortunately, he and Evan Bourne couldn't get the job done when Ziggler hit the ZigZag on Bourne for the victory. |
Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger celebrated with Vickie Guerrero in the middle. Kofi Kingston helped Evan Bourne to his feet, but out of nowhere, Drew McIntyre hits the ring. Ziggler flees and McIntyre drops Jack Swagger with the Future Shock DDT. McIntyre then looks at Kingston who is helping Bourne, and then looks up the ramp at Ziggler. He motions that he's coming for Ziggler as we cut to a promo package.
We see a promo package for WWE's Anti-Bullying Campaign, featuring multiple WWE superstars and divas. We then return to Raw.
Backstage, Josh Mathews is standing between the WWE Tag Team Champions, David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty to a lot of heat. He asks them how it feels to have defeated The Usos last night at SummerSlam. They say that The Usos were nothing special, and were just two superstars who thought they were better than they really were, but nobody can match up to the power of Otunga and McGillicutty. Mathews asks if they know what is planned for them at Night of Champions where they will be forced to defend their titles as part of the "all Championships on the line" theme. They say that whoever gets the show, will suffer the same fate as The Usos, and they'll be staring up at the lights before they know it. They leave and we cut to a commercial break as Cole tells us that the WWE Tag Team Champions are in action next.
Commercial Break.
#2 | WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty defeat Santino Marella & Zack Ryder in a non-title match. | | While both Zack Ryder and Santino Marella may be adored by the WWE Universe, they weren't much of a challenge to the WWE Tag Team Champions. Otunga closed the match after hitting The Verdict on Santino. |
The WWE Tag Team Champions celebrated their victory, but not for long... The Usos hit the ring! They enter and begin trading blows with Otunga and McGillicutty. They end up throwing them out of the ring and sending them fleeing up the ramp. It seems that this tag team feud is far from over. We then cut backstage.
We enter the office of the Chairman, Mr. McMahon to an enormous amount of heat. He is talking to John Laurinaitis, who was last seen after getting smacked by John Cena at WWE Money in the Bank. He pats McMahon on the back, saying he's doing a great job keeping the company in check. McMahon straightens his tie and says "I know". Suddenly, someone can be heard saying "Knock, knock", and the crowd erupt into boos as CM Punk walks on with the WWE Championship slung casually over his shoulder. McMahon greets him with a huge and calls him "champ". Punk says he can't wait to celebrate his victory and make sure the whole world knows that John Cena is no longer a member of the WWE. Punk also says that he wants to make an announcement regarding WrestleMania 28, and then winks at McMahon. McMahon smiles and says he's free to do whatever he wants. He says that they are business partners and he's happy with whatever if he thinks it will bring back the WWE from the grave that Cena dug. Punk smirks and says that from now on, the WWE is only going to get better. We then fade to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
We return to see Alex Riley make his entrance to a huge pop. He tells the WWE Universe how he defeated The Miz last night and sent him packing in the Loser Leaves Raw Match. He mentions how he's not felt this good since slapping Miz across the face the night he realized that he was being used. Riley mentions how with Miz gone, this will allow him to pursue his dream of becoming a Champion within the WWE. He is interrupted by the theme of Alberto Del Rio to a ton of heat. He comes out, telling Alex Riley that any WWE Championship is out of his reach, because he holds the power. He raises his briefcase and pats it for Riley to see. Riley tells Del Rio that is he's so sure of himself, then why doesn't he prove it by facing him - right now. The crowd pop and Del Rio shakes his head, saying that he doesn't have to prove anything to someone like Alex Riley. Riley calls Del Rio a coward, which really annoys him. Del Rio says that he is no coward, and if Riley wants him to prove it, he will. A referee rushes to ringside and we cut to a promo package.
We see a promo package for WWE Night of Champions, airing on September 18th, 2011. We then return to Raw.
#3 | Alex Riley defeats Alberto Del Rio. | | Harsh words between these two just moments ago, and it seems that Del Rio may have bitten off more than he can chew. Both men are coming off huge wins at SummerSlam, but Riley appeared to have the most momentum, hitting Del Rio with the Floating DDT following a missed Enziguiri and picking up the win. |
The crowd erupt as Riley claims the victory over the Raw Money in the Bank holder. He celebrates, but the celebration proves to be a big mistake as Del Rio viciously assaults him from behind with the briefcase. He screams that Riley is messing with the wrong person before leaving. The referee checks on Riley as we cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
#4 | Divas Champion Beth Phoenix defeats Eve with Kelly Kelly in a non-title match. | | After a dominant victory over Kelly Kelly just 24 hours ago, becoming the new Divas Champion, Beth Phoenix destroyed another diva, Eve. Kelly Kelly could do nothing but stand and watch as Phoenix drove Eve face first into the canvas with the GlamSlam and pick up the victory. |
Beth Phoenix celebrated to a ton of heat. She pretended to cry, wiping her fake tears while staring at Kelly Kelly who looks upset and angry. She helped Eve from the ring and left ringside, watching Phoenix the whole way. Phoenix waved goodbye before raising her title one more time and we then cut backstage.
Josh Mathews is backstage with Tyler Reks to a ton of heat, who is apparently making his return to Raw tonight. Mathews, at an arms length due to being intimidated, asks Reks what his plans are when he returns to the ring. Reks tilts his head and runs his hands through his hair before saying that Monday Night Raw will never be the same. He says he will drag each and every WWE superstar into the unknown abyss, and show them what it is like to stand face-to-face with fear itself. Reks says that nobody will be safe. Reks walks off, leaving Mathews, the commentary team and the WWE Universe rather disturbed. Cole plugs that Reks will return to in-ring action next week. We then cut further backstage.
We see a split screen as Rey Mysterio and R-Truth are walking down separate corridors, ready for their match. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
#5 | Rey Mysterio defeats R-Truth. | | In his hometown of San Diego, California, Rey Mysterio had the whole crowd behind him. R-Truth's vicious victory over John Morrison last night didn't leave him in the good books of many, and tonight, it seems he got exactly what he deserves. Truth was hung up on the middle rope and Mysterio managed to hit the 619, followed by the Torpedo Splash for the victory. |
Rey Mysterio celebrated in front of the WWE Universe, raising his hands in victory. R-Truth left the ring and started shouting at imaginary people around him, telling them that they cost him the match. Mysterio can't help but laugh at Truth as he leaves. We then cut to a commentary desk.
Cole says that Mysterio is sick for laughing at Truth. Lawler laughs himself, and then tells Cole that it's hilarious. Cole shakes his head, and then says that up next is the CM Punk WWE Championship Celebration. We see a graphic for it and then cut to a promo package.
We see a promo package for SummerSlam Axxess and what happened this past Saturday. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
We return to see the ring set up with a red carpet on the canvas. We then hear the theme of CM Punk to a ton of heat and he strolls out with the WWE Championship around his waist and his hands spread to his sides to show it off. He is followed by the Chairman, Mr. McMahon, along with John Laurinaitis. The trio enter the ring and Mr. McMahon begins to speak. He says that last night at SummerSlam, the WWE took one step closer to becoming fully revived from the ridiculousness that John Cena created. He says that last night, CM Punk was victorious, resulting in the termination of John Cena's contract, which is the best thing to happen to the company in a very long time. He hands over to CM Punk who says that John Cena's time was coming to an end, and he just sealed the deal. He claims that with him as the WWE Champion and John Cena gone, the WWE can finally stabilize itself and become the company it once was before John Cena ruined it with his crap. CM Punk says that he wants to introduce a certain someone to the WWE Universe, someone who some of them may know, but due to the ridiculous names the WWE gives people, they may not. He points to the entrance and out walks a man in a black polo shirt and jeans. He comes out to no music, but starts shouting and smiling at the fans. He enters the ring and hugs CM Punk. Punk tells everyone to welcome to the WWE... Colt Cabana! The crowd give a mixed reaction and CM Punk says that with John Cena gone, there's room for actual talent, and the WWE dropped the ball with Colt a couple of years back. He mentions the Scotty Goldman name and how it makes him cringe. He says that now everyone is here, he wants to get the party started. He tells the WWE Universe to stand and show their appreciation for the greatest thing to ever happen to wrestling... CM Punk! The crowd boo as he stands looking up to the sky with his eyes closed, as if soaking up all the cheers... only... there weren't any. All of a sudden, the crowd erupt into cheers, but not for CM Punk, because they heard the famous phrase...
"IF YOU SMELL - WHAT THE ROCK - IS COOKIN'!" The crowd go nuts as CM Punk's face drops and he looks towards the entrance. And in a matter of second, The Rock emerges from the stage. Jerry Lawler squeal with excitement as Rock trudges towards ringside in classic fashion. He enters the ring and his theme fades. Before he does anything, he does his "Finally..." line and the crowd erupt. CM Punk smirks and applauds The Great One, saying "Bravo, bravo". He says that he's extremely happy to see that The Rock came to Raw to congratulate him for ridding the WWE of that poison that was John Cena. The Rock stares at Punk before saying "Who... in the blue hell... are you?" The crowd laugh, and so does CM Punk. Punk says that he loves The Rock, always has done. He loves his one liners, his catchphrases, his moves, everything. The Rock looks confused as Punk tells him he's glad he's here actually, because he's probably going to be interested in what he's about to say. The Rock cuts him off, saying that he knows who he is, he's CM Punk. He says that he's heard and seen a lot of CM Punk, but they've never actually met in person. He says that the real reason he's here tonight was to come face-to-face with John Cena and confront him about their match at WrestleMania 28, but he arrived only to discover that John Cena is no longer a WWE superstar. CM Punk laughs and tells The Rock that he no longer has to worry about John Cena. The Rock says he wasn't worrying about John Cena, and he never will be, but he wasn't at all too happy to arrive to find that John Cena isn't here anymore. He says that everyone knows he isn't John Cena's biggest fan, but he wanted to face him at WrestleMania 28, and now he can't. CM Punk stops The Rock and says he planned everything out, and it's simple... he's putting himself in the Main Event at WrestleMania instead. The crowd give a mixed reaction, but The Rock isn't too happy. The Rock says that nobody wants to see him take on some some tattooed monkey with verbal diarrhea. The crowd laugh, adn The Rock says the people wanted to see The Rock smack the lips off the "homeless power ranger", John Cena. The crowd pop and CM Punk says that The Rock versus John Cena would have been so "boring". He mentions how both men have "five moves of doom", and it would be like watching Jim Ross fight Michael Cole all over again. Michael Cole says that Jim Ross made him look bad.
The Rock tells CM Punk that he may be a talented wrestler, and he may have a accolades to prove it, but he knows nothing about electrifying the people. He says that nobody can elecrify the people like The Rock, and as much as it pains him to say it, nobody can get a reaction from the people like John Cena can. He says that all CM Punk gets is a three second chant because he says "ass" and tells jokes about Triple H and Stephanie McMahon like they're going out of fashion. He says that every person from his era has been there and done that, adn CM Punk is just reviving an old habit. He says that if CM Punk want to replace John Cena with himself, then why wait till WrestleMania? Why not go one-on-one with The Great One - right now?! The crowd erupt and CM Punk says that he has no intention of facing The Rock before WrestleMania, especially not in a fist fight. CM Punk turns to leave, but The Rock stops him, saying that if he walks away, he'll show the whole world how much of a coward he really is. CM Punk laughs and says he doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks of him. Punk, McMahon and Laurinaitis leave, and Colt Cabana follows, but before Cabana can leave the ring, The Rock grabs him, spins him around and plants him with a Rock Bottom. The crowd erupt as CM Punk looks on in anger. The Rock tells Mr. McMahon that if there is no John Cena, then there is no Rock at WrestleMania 28. McMahon looks worried as The Rock does his signature line. He and Punk talk on the ramp as The Rock taunts in the corners. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler say how The Rock basically just cancelled himself at WrestleMania, and say how McMahon looks to be worrying about that, because it'll affect the numbers drastically. What will happen next week on Raw? Who will Main Event WrestleMania now? Lot's of questions to be answered. Raw then fades to a close.

RAW:
- Decent opening segment to put over the home town star. You probably could have done something bigger with him though than a makeshift main event match with R-Truth. - Decent opening match, but if I'm honest I think the faces should have gone over if you're trying to push Kingston as a serious challenger to the title - Decent win for McGillicutty and Otunga, but a little bit of a throwaway match. I'm hoping you give the titles to The Uso's, they''re so underrated right now when they could carry the tag division. - I still think you made a mistake by sending The Miz over to SmackDown. He's one of the top heels you've got and he'd be better used on RAW. Stil, at least you're running with Alex Riley's push, although a feud with Del Rio really isn't going to benefit Mr. Money in the Bank who you should be building up as a top star. - Good win for the new Diva's champion, I'm guessing we'll be seeing a rematch with Kelly Kelly at Night of Champions. - Meh, I got to Reks push first. Still, the guy deserves to be used properly. - Predictable win for Mysterio in his home town but I still think you should have done more with him. At the very least you should have set up a new feud, Truth could have gotten a massive amount of heat with a post match attack here. - Colt Cabana? I like. - Kind of predictable Punk/ Rock segment, and an obvious way to get Cena back into the WWE. I'd quite like to see him off screens for a few months though, he's been at the front and center of the main event scene non-stop for too long. - Decent show with some build to Night of Champions. I think you're relying too much on Punk/ Cena/ Rock though, you haven't really got a proper second main event feud, which is why dropping The Miz was a bad idea.

RAW: As I said to you on MSN, that graphic looks great, such an original idea. It's sad to still see Masters on Superstars. Looking forward to where your going with these storylines. Mysterio opening up was surprising but the right way to go with us being in San Diego and all. Rey admitting that Del Rio was the better man on the night was fine. I'm expecting a rematch between the two soon. R-Truth's conspiracy theory gets better and better. I was surprised to see him interuptt but I'm wondering where you'll go with this. Good opening promo overall with the typical R-Truth lines and such. Nice to see R-Truth vs. Mysterio set up tonight but I can only think that it will lead to something between the two. Disapointted that Kingston and Bourne lost out there, Kingston should be doing so much more at the moment. Was happy to see McIntyre out there though as I can see your doing something with him. Just had the thought that Ziggler, Swagger, Bourne, Kofi and Drew would made a pleasent Scramble Match. It's not often that Otunga and McGillicutty get mic time so I'm excited to see it. Wonder who they'll be facing at Night of Champions. McGillitunga over Ryder and Santino is fine there, you really need some new tag teams. The Uso's hitting the ring obviously means a rematch at Night of Champions which I can see them winning this time around. Good way to promote Cena's firing and reminding people of WrestleMania 28. Looking forward very much to this announcement which I'm guessing will close the show after Truth vs. Rey. Del Rio vs. Riley is interesting, I wouldn't have thought of that for some reason. Shocked to see Riley got over Del Rio there but I like it. I'm thinking the two will fight for the breifcase at NOC, hopefully. Phoenix going over Eve was really the only option there, it puts her over as champion and I'm expecting a rematch versus Kelly at NOC. Tyler Reks interview is surprising there, looking forward to seeing what you do with him. He has a unique look and style so I'm sure you can make something out of him. Mysterio over Truth isn't much of a surprise and was the right decision for a nice main event, though it doesn't seem like much will come from this. Morrison is missing tonight, I'm guessing your selling his loss at SummerSlam. This should be good. Colt Cabana coming in is cool, I'm guessing he'll stick by Punk is a sort of Riley to Miz role if you know what I mean. I'd like to see a feud between the two but Punk is miles ahead of Cabana right now. Rock appearing is huge and surprising. I like the back and forth banter between Rock and Punk but I can't help but wonder what it's all for and what will come of it. I liked Cole's comment by the way. Rock dropping Cabana with the Rock Bottom was very good and pretty much solidified what I said early about him being like Riley to Miz. It looks like Cena will be back, which I'm fine with but I'm looking forward to seeing where you will go with Rock vs. Punk and it seems like an angle now, that needs a match too it. Very good show, with a very intruiging ending.

The opening segment was decent. It done its job in putting Rey over due to Raw being in San Diego and set up the main event between Rey and Truth. Would have liked to see Kofi pin Dolph or Jack and then have had McIntyre save him from a post-match attack. For some reason, the interview with Otunga and McGillicutty makes me think they're going to drop the gold at Night of Champions. I hope that isn't the case as Otunga and McGillicutty are good as a team but pretty much useless as single stars. Decent win for them against Santino and Ryder. Really like Punk and Vince's "business partner" relationship. Not a fan of The Miz going to SmackDown as Mark Henry and Christian have the top heel role covered over there. Alex Riley would have really benefited on SmackDown, I think. Not really a fan of A-Ry going over Del Rio either. Alberto's attack afterwards pretty much makes it obvious we're getting a Del Rio/Riley feud. Fine win for Beth. Tyler Reks? Interesting. Rey was never going to lose to Truth in his hometown. Decent main event although I don't think it really served much of a purpose other than to have Rey win the main event in his hometown. Cabana returning, or debuting (technically), is interesting. I agree with Jack about liking Cabana being to Punk what Riley was to Miz. Overall, the final segment was interesting. I'm not a fan of you scrapping the Cena/Rock match as I have a gut feeling we're goin to either get Punk/Rock or Punk/Cena/Rock. However, I'm interested to see where you do actually go with it. Now that you've effectively scrapped Cena/Rock, it would be pointless to re-book it a few weeks down the line so there's no doubt you have something else planned. Decent Raw.

Suspect the masked man was Johnny Ace personally. Could be fun if he was a sleeper agent haha, taking down WWE from the inside. Logical opening with Rey infront of the hometown crowd. Love Truth's incredibly random interruption and subsequent promo. Expect him to lose to Rey later tonight! Good opening contest, liked it. Pretty sure you dislike Ziggler so I expect he'll lose the US title to D-Mac pretty soon, wouldn't mind it either. Realistically, don't know who could be a legit threat to McGilliTunga at NOC. I'd like a reformed Hart Dynasty or something similar, but I'll wait it out and see what you got. The Tag Champs are looking strong atm, I like it a lot. Time to give them some character though. Still think Ace is the masked man, haha. I would never have put Riley over Del Rio, but it keeps him up the card so its all good. Miz on SmackDown! is gonna be fun as well. Look forward to what you'll do with him, but feel like it could feel like RAW lite with Sheamus and Orton. That'd be better than him shilling Subways though. Beth over Eve (my favourite diva, aha) was a good move, suspect Beth vs Kelly II is set for NOC. Reks back on RAW I like, not sure if there is space for him, but I'm sure you'll make some. I would dig a mini feud between Reks and Rey Mysterio tbh, much like the Knox/Rey one a few years back, just with Reks winning. Rey going over was expected, good stuff that'd please the hometown crowd. Excellently written promo to close, like the re-introduction of Colt to the 'E, and the cancellation of Cena vs Rock, though realistically, you'll be losing a lot of Mania buys. You'll need something big to get the buys Cena vs Rock would've got. Good show, just not sure how wise the cancelling of Rock vs Cena will be in the long run!

WWE Monday Night Raw Enjoyable segment to open up Monday Night Raw. Rey Mysterio's promo was a bit generic, but I loved R-Truth's involvement. The match should be decent tonight. Good victory for Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger over Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne. Nice run in from Drew McIntyre. Decent interview for the WWE Tag Team Champions, hopefully the Kings of Wrestling, still under Chris Hero and Claudio Claudio Castagnoli, challenges them for the titles at Night of Champions. Good win for the tag team champions. Even though the show is repeating it self already. Two tag matches in a row with a run in afterwards. Honestly, I think Miz should have stayed on Raw, but it should had some more credibility to the Smackdown main event scene. I like Alex Riley, but I'm not a fan of Alberto Del Rio losing to him. He's lost to guys like Zack Ryder and now A-Ri ever since winning Money in the Bank and it's hurting his credibility. Decent win for the WWE Divas Champion, Beth Phoenix. PLEASE tell me you're going to make Tyler Reks credible. That would insane and awesome at the same time. Obvious win for Rey Mysterio over R-Truth in a decent main event. Decent promo from CM Punk, Colt Cabana return, awesome. Hopefully he does something good this time around. The Rock showing up is unexpected, but pleasing! Great interaction between Rock and CM Punk, but it would have been a nice touch if you had Punk call Rock "Dwayne" instead. Rock saying he won't be at Wrestlemania now is a huge bombshell, and it already confirms the obvious that John Cena is returning. Overall, it was a decent show with some decisions I wasn't on board with.

RAW - Rey Mysterio segement was typical Rey him saying he is still the biggest little man but it was good whne R-Truth got involved. -The match Ziggler and Swagger vs Kingston and Bourne was good Ziggler and Swagger winning was the best way to go, and the McIntyre run in was intersting. I hope this leads to a triple threat match but as much as i like Kingston and McIntyre, Ziggler needs that title to stay round his waist for as long as possible and if not he should be pushed further. -The backstage interview was good, I like the teams cocky attitude and then there match was good nothing special though just against santino and Zack but still good -Nice rivalry you got brewing between Del Rio and Riley and a good match Riley winning the match against Mr Money in the bank is just the push he needed and the assault just adds to it. -Divas match meh I dont like Divas but it was a good match we need to see a new Diva come in and challenge her because soon she will have beaten everyone -Rey winning is the only thing that could of happened it was a good match. -The Rock leaving loads of questions making an episode like a tv cliffhanger I loved it and I actually want to see what they do. Maybe Vince gives into the Rock and rehires Cena? Just gotta wait and see...
Can you reply to my wrestling universe please

| Friday Night SmackDown, August 19th, 2011 - The Rabobank Arena Theater and Convention Center in Bakersfield, California. | WWE Superstars Tapings: Ted DiBiase defeats Yoshi Tatsu; Alicia Fox defeats Kaitlyn. |
"Yes, sir, we promised you a great Main Event..."
Before SmackDown opens up, we see a quick recap of the happening in the World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match at SummerSlam this past Sunday. It ends with Christian escaping, somehow with his World Championship still in his grasp. We then cut to SmackDown.
With no opening package and no pyrotechnics this week, SmackDown opens to the theme of the General Manager, Theodore Long as the WWE|HD banner flashes across our screen. We cut down to Long who is stood in the ring, ready to speak. His theme fades and he begins to speak to the WWE Universe. To start off, he tells them that he hopes they enjoyed SummerSlam, because he sure did. He then says that following the highly competitive World Championship Match, he knows it's going to be hard to find a #1 Contender for Night of Champions, so tonight, we're going to witness a Triple Threat Match between the three previous contenders at SummerSlam, Sheamus, Wade Barret and Randy Orton! The crowd erupt as Long turns to leave, but suddenly he is interrupted by the theme of Mark Henry to a ton of heat. Long gulps as he sees Henry trudge down to the ring, not looking too impressed.
Henry comes face-to-face with Long and asks him why he isn't involved in the Main Event tonight. Long stutters, telling him that he can't risk putting him in the match. He calls Henry dangerous and that nobody wants to see him in the ring for fear of seriously injuring somebody. Henry says that he has made impact after impact on SmackDown, but gets rewarded by being left off the show. Long says he can't risk his superstars health, especially after what he saw him do to Booker T at SummerSlam, which he is having to fill out some serious paperwork for. Henry says he doesn't care for paperwork, or the health of the WWE superstars. All he wants is the World Heavyweight Championship, and he demands that Long gives it to him. Long says that he can't do it, and refuses to put the talent at risk. Henry grabs Long by the scruff of the neck, almost lifting him from the ground. He says he's going to ask Long one more time, and if he denies him a title shot again, he's going to crush him. Suddenly, the theme of Randy Orton hits to a huge pop. Henry drops Long and spins around to meet Orton who is wielding a steel chair! He swings the chair and cracks Henry on the side, knocking him through the ropes. Henry is just angered and goes to climb back into the ring, but Orton hits the ropes with the chair and Henry backs off. He points at Orton, screaming "You're dead! I'm the man!", but Orton stares right through him, steel chair in hand. Theodore Long recovers on the mat as referees enter to tend to him. Orton and Henry stare off as we cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
We return to see the commentary team of Josh Mathews, Michael Cole and Matt Striker. They explain that Booker T isn't here tonight due to the injuries sustained at the hands of Mark Henry at SummerSlam. They then continue to call the show.
#1 | Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson defeats Jinder Mahal with The Great Khali via Disqualification in a non-title match. | | Jinder Mahal has proved eager to get a shot at Jackson's Intercontinental Championship recently, and tonight, he definitely proved that he would do anything to get it. In his second match with Ezekiel Jackson, he called for assistance. The Great Khali entered and clubbed Jackson with a Brain Chop, causing the disqualification. |
Mahal wasn't bothered about losing, because he just wanted to make a statement. After Khali had planted Jackson with the Punjabi Plunge, Mahal locked in the Camel Clutch on a near lifeless Jackson. The WWE Universe watched as Mahal smirked as he pulled back on the head of Ezekiel Jackson who was out cold. He let go and then raised the Intercontinental Championship above his head as we cut backstage.
Backstage, we see Cody Rhodes sat on a chair, facing away from the camera with a black towel draped over his head. Ted DiBiase is behind him, trying to talk to him. He asks him what happened at SummerSlam, saying he went crazy after the match. Rhodes tells DiBiase in his croaky voice that it wasn't nothing compared to what he's going to do in the future. He says that he's sick of being ridiculed for wearing the protective mask that he needs for medical reasons. He says that Daniel Bryan dared to turn it against him, well now it's time for Cody Rhodes to show the whole world that he isn't a coward for protecting his face. He says that when Bryan removed the mask, he lit a fire beneath him, and now he is going to tear apart the entire SmackDown roster to get what he deserves, and that's respect. DiBiase is completely confused, and asks Rhodes if he wants him out there tonight, but Rhodes tells him that DiBiase is simply holding him back, and tells him to get lost. DiBiase says he doesn't understand Cody sometimes and leaves. We fade to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
#2 | Natalya with A.J. defeats Tamina with Alicia Fox. | | After a fight broke out last week on SmackDown, this match was made between these two next generation divas. The match came to a close when A.J. took Alicia Fox down on the outside with a headscissor takedown while Natalya made Tamina tap out with the Sharpshooter. |
Natalya and A.J. celebrated as Tamina and Alicia Fox left, arguing. We then cut to a promo package.
We see a promo package for WWE Night of Champions, airing September 18th, 2011. We then return to SmackDown.
Todd Grisham is backstage alongside the World Heavyweight Champion, Christian to a ton of heat. He has a huge grin on his face, and rightfully so. Grisham asks him how he feels about tonight's Triple Threat #1 Contendership Match and who he thinks is going to win. Christian says he doesn't know and he doesn't care, because as he proved at SummerSlam, he can overcome anyone. He says the odds were stacked against him but he still came out on top and retained the World Heavyweight Championship. He says that it doesn't matter if it's Wade Barrett, Sheamus or Randy Orton, at Night of Champions, he is going to once again leave as the World Heavyweight Champion. Christian leaves and we cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
#3 | Cody Rhodes defeats Daniel Bryan. | | At SummerSlam, Daniel Bryan defeated Cody Rhodes by using his own mask against him. In doing that, he brought out an all new aggressive attitude in Cody Rhodes, and it was definitely apparent tonight. The match was back and forth, but once Cody Rhodes got his hands on Bryan properly, he planted him into the canvas with the Cross-Rhodes for the victory. |
After the match, Rhodes didn't even celebrate, his just got on all fours and got right in Bryan's face. He didn't say a word, just kept tilting his head from side to side while breathing heavily as Bryan lay in pain. Rhodes leaves as we cut backstage.
Todd Grisham is backstage with Sheamus to a pop. He asks him how he feels about getting another chance at the World Heavyweight Championship if he wins tonight. Sheamus starts to answer, but is cut off as Wade Barrett walks onto the scene and says that Sheamus won't be winning anything tonight. Sheamus asks him why that is, and Barrett tells him because he's going to win and go to Night of Champions to face Christian. Sheamus laughs and says that can't be true, because he's going to win. Grisham butts in and asks about Randy Orton. Barrett and Sheamus look at Grisham before shaking their heads and both walking in opposite directions. Grisham looks on in confusion as we cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
#4 | The Usos defeat Tyson Kidd & Brodus Clay. | | Kidd and Clay have been dominant on WWE Superstars lately, but tonight, they took on the former #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships, The Uso Brothers. The Usos picked up the victory after taking out Brodus Clay and hitting Kidd with the Alley-Us for the win. |
The Usos celebrated their victory and made gestures that they wanted another shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships. We then cut to a promo package.
We see a Raw Rebound package, showing the happening of this past Monday's Raw. We see some clips from the segment between the WWE Champion, CM Punk, Mr. McMahon and The Rock. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
We return to hear the theme of The Miz to a very mixed reaction, but mostly boos. He comes out, not looking too happy and grabs a microphone from Tony Chimel. He turns the WWE logo upside down and then begins to speak. He says that he's going to be honest and say that he doesn't want to be here, and he should still be live on Monday nights. He says that Alex Riley pulled off a fluke victory at SummerSlam, and it should be him here, not Miz. Miz tells us that while he isn't at all happy to have left Raw, Theodore Long clearly knows talent when he sees it, because he snapped him up just moments after the match. He says that he may have only been on the SmackDown broadcast for about a minute, but he can guarantee already that SmackDown's ratings just went through the roof, and tomorrow morning, it will be all over the news, the talk shows, the radio, everywhere. He says that SmackDown just got awesome! But suddenly, the crowd pop as the theme of Justin Gabriel hits. The Miz looks completely confused as Gabriel steps into the ring and grabs a microphone. Before Gabriel can even speak, The Miz asks him who the hell he is, and what he thinks he is doing interrupting him. Gabriel tells The Miz that they've met before when they were both on Raw. He says that Miz talked a lot of crap over there too. The crowd pop as Miz starts saying "Really? Really?". He then says that if his memory serves him right, Gabriel is a former member of two failed groups, being The Nexus and The Corre. He says that Justin Gabriel is pathetic on his own, and nothing but a gymnast in the ring with his "twirly splash". He says that Gabriel can hide behind his peers like Wade Barrett, but he can't do nothing on his own. BAM! Gabriel socks Miz in the jaw with a thunderous forearm to a huge pop. Gabriel says that if Miz is so confident, then why doesn't he take him on right now and he'll show him exactly what he can do. Miz takes off his shirt and we cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
#5 | The Miz defeats Justin Gabriel. | | We returned from the break to see this match already underway. Justin Gabriel put up a valiant effort against the former WWE Champion, but after missing his signature 450 Splash, The Miz planted him with the Skull-Crushing Finale for his first SmackDown victory. |
The Miz celebrated his win to a lot of heat. Michael Cole started jumping up and down, claiming that Monday Night Raw suffered a huge loss at SummerSlam, but SmackDown picked up the greatest superstar of all time. He says that The Miz will be the World Heavyweight Champion in no time. The crowd are in shock, however, when The Miz picks up Justin Gabriel. He then goes to shake his hand and Gabriel takes it. Has The Miz turned over a new leaf? No, is the answer to that question. He tricks Gabriel and drops him with a second Skull-Crushing Finale as the crowd give him tons of heat. Miz leaves Gabriel in the center of the ring as we cut backstage.
We see a triple split-screen, featuring Sheamus, Wade Barrett and Randy Orton walking down separate corridors, ready for the Main Event. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
#6 | Sheamus defeats Randy Orton & Wade Barrett to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. | | These three men unfortunately came up short at SummerSlam and Christian retained his World Heavyweight Championship. This Triple Threat Match would decide who went up against Christian at Night of Champions, but it wasn't all that simple. Suddenly, Mark Henry enters the fray and picks a fight with Randy Orton. He drags Orton out of the match and throws him into the steel steps, and then the barricade. The referee can't do anything as it's no disqualifications, and while this is going on, Sheamus manages to hit Wade Barrett with the brogue Kick for the victory. |
Sheamus celebrates his win, but sees the attack on the outside. He goes to help Randy Orton, but out of nowhere, Christian drills him in the back of the head with the World Heavyweight Championship! Christian smirks and raises the World Heavyweight Championship inside the ring, while Mark Henry raises his hands on the outside over a battered Randy Orton. Christian and Henry lock eyes at one point, but all they do is sadistically smirk at each other over their downed adversaries. SmackDown then fades to a close.

Sin Cara's suspension is over Sin Cara's recent suspension has been lifted as of today. Cara had been suspended for 30 days for violating the WWE's Wellness Policy in July. It is expected that he will return to WWE television next Friday on SmackDown to enter a feud with Wade Barrett, some sources are reporting. The Creative Writers are apparently high on Barrett at the moment, hence his recent Main Event push. Sin Cara is not in the good books of the Creative Team, but they want to continue his push due to his popularity with the WWE Universe. More on this as it comes.
Officials high on Sheamus Sheamus is apparently the main attraction backstage at SmackDown, with officials feeling he oozes potential and deserves a chance to shine in the Main Event scene. Many were skeptical of his recent babyface turn, but it has turned out to be a success and Sheamus' fanbase has grown drastically. The decision to give him a one-on-one match with Christian at Night of Champions for the World Heavyweight Championship was made about a month ago when officials were pleased with how successful his babyface turn had been.
The Rock versus John Cena at WrestleMania 28 - Cancelled? As seen this past Monday on Raw, with John Cena being (kayfabe) fired at SummerSlam, The Rock made an appearence, claiming that if John Cena isn't going to be at WrestleMania then neither is he. To tie into the storyline, the WWE has cut all promos linking to the Main Event match. Expect it to be addressed in the coming weeks, but don't hold on to it being cancelled too much, as this is a storyline, and the cancellation is most probably for storyline purposes. The WWE wouldn't cancel a huge Main Event like that at the risk of losing hundreds of thousands of buys.
Booker T to return to in-ring action? After the attack at the hands of Mark Henry at SummerSlam, it is expected that Booker T could be working towards a return to the ring. Booker is advertised to return to commentary next week on SmackDown, but a return to the ring is undoubtedly around the corner.

I liked the segment with Cody Rhodes and having him actually beat Bryan. I’m a huge Rhodes mark. Miz on Smackdown is cool, but the segment with Gabriel wasn’t all that entertaining to me. Not surprised to see Henry cost Orton the main event considering their interaction in the opening segment with Teddy Long. A Sheamus/Christian match or feud could be interesting. It seemed like a lackluster show to me as I feel that there needs to be one or two RAW guys to come over to Smackdown. Or, push guys like Tyson Kidd and Brodus Clay. Seeing them lose to the Usos was quite disappointing. Clay could be a big time heel if you pushed him and Kidd could be a smaller Bret Hart. Maybe I’m crazy but if you got behind pushing those two, you could have a decent lineup on Smackdown.

Fine opening segment that was a good way to set up a likely Henry/Orton match. I would have said a match at the pay-per-view but that's unlikely considering the next one is Night of Champions. Not a fan of Jinder Mahal in the least so I'm not too keen on seeing you pretty much starting a feud over the Intercontinental Championship with Mahal and Zeke. Interesting segment with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. Natalya over Tamina is decent. Cody beating Bryan is alright, I suppose. The post-match stuff was odd. Love the pairing of Kidd and Clay and wouldn't have minded seeing them beat The Uso's but you're probably building The Uso's up for a title shot at Night of Champions since they're the most notable face team. The Miz segment captured his character well. You've really been pushing Justin Gabriel a lot, however, it was no surprise to see Miz win his SmackDown debut. I still would have preferred Alex Riley come to SmackDown rather than The Miz. Henry's interference in the main event didn't come as a shock. Sheamus/Christian could be interesting.

WWE RAW: Monday 15th August 2011...Happy to see Chris Masters still employed, beating JTG. Gail Kim and Maryse is a match I've seen so many times it bores me now. Rey Mysterio coming to the ring first was an odd decision; the guy can't speak so well on the microphone, for a start. Good idea for R-Truth to interrupt him, and hopefully their match tonight is the end of their program that has been running since May. Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger beating Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne was a solid opening contest, but it wasn't that special. God the job done. Hopefully you go with the idea of Vickie Guerrero starting up a 'Heenan Family' scenario. David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty beating Santino Marella and Zack Ryder was a fair bout, I like what you're doing with the WWE Tag Team Champions. The Usos continuing their feud with them is alright, but two pay-per-view matches in a row running into Night of Champions? Not that happy from what I believe. Unless you manage to squeeze out two more teams to contend to the title; could have a good four-corner tag team bout for Night of Champions to be different. They don't happen often. Liked John Cena and Mr McMahon's segment. Alex Riley beating Alberto Del Rio was a strange result, not so pleased about that one. Beth Phoenix beating Eve was alright I suppose. Nothing special. Rey Mysterio winning in his hometown was a good call. Would have loved for Truth to take Mysterio out in his hometown; would have given him so much heat. Plus Rey seriously needs to take time off due to injury. Amazing write-up with the main event promo with CM Punk. The Rock appearing in person may have been too big a stretch, but it was awesome. Colt Cabana returning was nice; I doubt that he would have referred to his Scotty Goldman persona though. Perfect dialogue, would have preferred Punk to have had more belittling of Rock rather than visa versa though. Overall, it was a great show, highlighted by that main event promo. Not a great deal of promoting Night of Champions though.
WWE SmackDown: Friday 19th August 2011...I wish that Heath Slater would have stuck around, but I guess it makes sense. Ted Dibiase beating Yoshi Tatsu was obvious, no problem there. Two divas matches on WWE Superstars is getting a little too much I believe. Alicia Fox beating Kaitlyn was nothing special enough for SmackDown on the other hand. Theodore Long kicking off the show was fine, liked Mark Henry getting in his face and wanting a World Heavyweight Championship shot. Could see Mark facing Booker T at Hell in a Cell. Randy Orton's interference was a great move though. Ezekiel Jackson beating Jinder Mahal by disqualification made sense; Mahal credibly isn't able to beat the WWE Intercontinental Champion cleanly. It's not exactly his gimmick. The Great Khali's involvement made the segment. Would have chosen a stronger opening contest though. Natalya beating Tamina was good, evens things up with Natalya and the former NXT Season 3 divas against Alicia Fox and Tamina. Where did Rosa Mendes go? Cody Rhodes beating Daniel Bryan made sense; good first hour main event, but please end the rivalry. It has gotten far too long now. The Usos beating Tyson Kidd and Brodus Clay cut Kidd and Clay's offence off quick. The wrong men went over, despite Jimmy and Jey being credible to the WWE Tag Team Championships again. The Miz's promo was a great introduction to him being on SmackDown, hopefully he gets in on the World Heavyweight Championship scene quickly. Good win against Justin Gabriel. Gabriel had a great opportunity, but he can't beat Miz. The aftermath wasn't so necessary. Sheamus beating Randy Orton and Wade Barrett was a good main event, happy to see Sheamus in contention to refreshen the World title picture; I didn't see Christian featured much at all, which is weird considering his championship status. Overall, not a bad show with some odd decisions made.

| Monday Night Raw, August 22nd, 2011 - The Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. | WWE Superstars Tapings: WWE Tag Team Champion David Otunga defeats David Hart Smith; Evan Bourne defeats Primo. |
"Yes, sir, we promised you a great Main Event..."
Before the show opens up, we see a recap of last Monday's Raw when The Rock made a shocking appearence, telling Mr. McMahon and CM Punk that if there was going to be no John Cena at WrestleMania, then there would be no Rock either. We close on a shot of The Rock hitting the Rock Bottom on Colt Cabana and then staring up the ramp at the WWE Champion. We then cut to a opening package.
Monday Night Raw opens its doors with a wonderful pyrotechnics display and the WWE|HD banner flashing across our screens. Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler welcome us to the show and run us down what happened last week with The Rock. They says that the WWE's Twitter and Facebook pages were overloaded last night with one major question - what could possibly replace The Rock versus John Cena at WrestleMania 28? Suddenly, we hear the theme of the WWE Champion, CM Punk to a ton of heat and he comes out followed by Mr. McMahon, John Laurinaitis and Colt Cabana. They enter the ring and CM Punk begins to speak.
Punk mocks the WWE Universe, pretending to cry over The Rock's departure from WrestleMania last week. He gets serious and says that he couldn't care less if The Rock is there or not, because it will be CM Punk that will be the star of WrestleMania, not anyone else. He says that WrestleMania doesn't need The Rock to be a success, all it needs is standing in this ring right now. Punk says there are plenty of guys that could face him at WrestleMania and it would be just as big as The Rock versus John Cena, simply because he is involved. He mentions how he has single-handedly turned the wrestling world upside down and inside out in just a matter of months, and he has it right in the palm of his hand. He says that with the supervision of Vince McMahon, he has complete control over the WWE and what direction it goes in, because McMahon knows success when he sees it, and he knows that with CM Punk in control, the WWE will be a success. All of a sudden, the Anonymous Raw General Manager chimes in, and for the first time in a long time, actually gets a pop due to it interrupting the droning speech of CM Punk. Michael Cole steps up to the podium and reads "And I quote - Apologies for interrupting you, Punk, but I have been given some information that may interest you. With WWE Night of Champions coming up next month, and no sign of you choosing your own contender, I have been allowed by the Board of Directors to create a small Four-Man Tournament which will be contested in its entirety, right here - tonight!" The crowd pop and Mr. McMahon is about to shout at Michael Cole, but CM Punk stop him, saying he wants to hear what idiots the General Manager has chosen to "feed" to him at Night of Champions. Cole continues to say "Tonight, we will have two Triple Threat Matches, and then the winners of those matches shall face off in the Main Event to determine your challenge at Night of Champions.
