They made it because you didn't want it. They're just trying to stick it to you, that's what the man does!
Of course, there could be other people who think it looks pretty cool and want to pick it up - nah.

I actually like the blue ring from this set. Judging by the SDCC pics, the ring is a separate item and the figures might be part of a 4-pack, similar to the Target "Night of Champions" exclusive. I'm still unsure about the figures themselves, I'll have to see them in person. If the price isn't too bad, I might pick it up.
The ring is a definite purchase, even if it is another Basic one. It might be the closest thing to a Legends ring that we'll get and it will be compatible with all the playset accessories I've picked up lately!

Why are you complaining about a set based on an event that WWE does for our troops that sacrifice everything they have so you can complain about said set?
Smfh...
This might be a buy for me, because of it being Tribute To The Troops. I come from a long line of vets and current active duty members, so the Tribute To The Troops show hits closer to home for me.

Seems like a smart idea to me, lots of rednecks shop at K-Mart.

Mattel says the reason they can't give us nice things like more Legends is because they don't sell very well, but yet they give us crap like this Tribute to the Troops set? Are they serious with this thing? It's going to warm shelves and pick up dust right next to the History of Rey Mysterio box sets and the Wrestlemania Shelton Benjamin figures. It will never hang next to either of those. They are TRU exclusives the TttT are KMart Exclusives. So that blows your theory right out of the water. ;D But seriously the stores ask for the exclusives. And I for one want the Orton & ring. The Ring will end up on my computer table housing my cage from my KMart steel cage set while displaying my Superfly and custom Muraco. Without the stickers on it the ring will be percfect as an 80's ring.

I, for one, definitely plan on picking one up! It looks like a terrific and creative set IMO. Though I do wish Sheamus in his US Title gear would've replaced the Big Show. For that matter, the US Title would be a cool addition to this set.
Still can't wait for it though!

Are they serious with this thing? It's going to warm shelves and pick up dust right next to the History of Rey Mysterio box sets and the Wrestlemania Shelton Benjamin figures. This is the reason why stores don't stock new products and why Mattel has such crummy distribution. It's because they get crap like this that doesn't sell and just assume that either they shelves are stocked so there's no need to order, or that WWE isn't all that popular so they don't need to order as much. Clone yourself a million times, then the stuff you like will be popular. Until then, Mattel is a business trying to make figures that sell, not figures that just appeal to you.

I may get it for to use as an 80's ring. If so, I'll probably post the figures in the classifieds section for anyone that might want them.
