Read an article about how Liverpool have little to gain and a lot to lose from sunday. If they win its the North London Derby on the back pages, whilst if they lose they could have an Arsenal-style collapse. Also, Stevie G talking about the final: "I honestly believe winning this Cup will be the catalyst for a successful period for the club. It will certainly give us the belief and confidence to deliver more." He seems to be missing an "if"... talking as if they've won already. Gerrard has been a prick about the final ever since they got through. Granted, they probably should beat us but him and Daglish seem to have completely written us off. Oh well, I'll be there enjoying it whatever happens but hopefully we cause an upset.

Terry Connor to stay in charge of Wolves until the end of the season... which begs the question, why bother getting rid of Mick?!
Going down now surely?

Don't think they expected such average managers like Bruce & Curbishley to turn them down. Hope they do get relegated as I'd like us to take a gamble on Steven Fletcher and maybe Jamie O'Hara too. Probably mean Blackburn would stay up though

Said a few months ago I think Blackburn Bolton and Wolves will go down, stand by it. Wigan always pull it out.

Wolves will definatly be going down, now. Think Wigan and Bolton (hopefully QPR, instead of Bolton) will go down. Really hope Blackburn stay up; they've been so entertaining this season.

Disgraceful performance yesterday. It was like I travelled back in time and Steve Bruce was our manager, ah well no time to dwell on it and hopefully O'Neill will have them 1,000,000x fired up next Sunday in the Derby.

What a stunning game in North London. Thought Spurs beforehand and for the first 40 mins they were by far the better team, but Arsenal showed heart that I've never seen them show before and equalizing before half time really shocked Spurs. Think they wanted to slowly establish dominance at the start of the second half, and they didn't play badly, but Arsenal were on fire.
Gutted for Cardiff. There were some terrible pens (Adam's in particular) but some were good - Johnson's was fantastic.
Very happy we got the win at Carrow Road, was worried we'd draw before the match so when Holt scored I thought it was ging to happen. Scholes and Giggs scoring was fantastic, particularly on Gigg's 900th appearence, and in the 91st minute. Takes the pressure off a little bit for Super Sunday next week, although I'm hoping Spurs will be reeling from this sunday.

As expected, a cracking North London derby; they always are. As soon as Arsenal got it to 3-2, I knew there was no chance they would throw it away. They did the same thing against Chelsea earlier on in the season; they always looked in command ever since they went 3-2 up. Tottenham were absolutely shocking in the second half. They should never have tried to tighten it up bringing on Sandro and van der Vaart. Should have just let it flow, as when they came on, they just lost all their attacking flair.
Gutted that the scum beat Cardiff. Cardiff played so well, but all the penalties just felt rushed. Was going mental when they got the equiliser with two minutes to go.

So pleased to final win something. Liverpool played well and were in total control of the game then Cardiff scored and they struggled till the end of the second half. Henderson was useless. Second half we played slightly better and deserved to get the goal. Thought after Kuyt scored in extra time that Cardiff would be down and out but credit to them they found an extra bit of energy and deserved to draw level. Going into pens i was confient until Gerrard missed but thankfully we won. Gutted for Gerrad missing the final pen shame that he's gave his cousin the trophy. Thankfully though we won but massive credit to Cardiff who played great especially Hudson and Turner.

I am very surprised to hear all the praise Theo Walcott is getting poured on him today, I must have been watching a different game to everyone else because to me he only became actually involved when Arsenal were in front. he waited until they were safe to actually take some chances. This not a knock on him but his decision making when it maters really needs some serous work like I said before Arsenal went in front he was very poor.

Finally got on to post about the final.
My word, I dont know even where to start apart from how incredibly proud I am of Cardiff for what we did yesterday. To take Liverpool all the way to penalties was a great achievement for us, we never ever gave in when we had about 8 players at the end fit, Gunnarsson, Miller and Gestede were absolutely finished in extra time.
I thought everyone played fantastic for us, thought Whittingham was a bit disappointing with his passing as it never went forward but he did a job on Gerrard. Gestede was excellent I thought, it took 4 different players to mark him out of the game, he won every header it was just Millers fault for never being close enough to him.
Miller should have won the game for us, he really needs to work on his composure... It's happened too much this season but in a game like that, he HAD to score.
But so so proud we came back in the last minute of extra time, I thought we were finished when Kuyt scored for Liverpool, the place went absolutely mental when we equalised. People crying in front of me, just awesome.
The penalty shootout was a lottery, we are so unlucky to have saved a penalty from Gerrard and have Adam miss one and still lose, I honestly thought we had won it after their penalties. All our penalty takers were shattered mentally and physically so can't complain, the fact we hit the post twice just shows it wasn't out day, any other day we would have done it.
Scouse fans were fantastic, good day had by all. I spoke to so many scousers outside Wembley after and they said that they wanted us in the Premiership next year for 2 games, how we were awesome and unlucky, so yeah very proud of the boys!

Miller should have won the game for us, he really needs to work on his composure... It's happened too much this season but in a game like that, he HAD to score. Seemed a bit strange that you sent him up for the first penalty after last time, I know I wouldn't trust him taking the first spot-kick in a shootout for us. Thought Cardiff where immense yesterday, looked like a proper team, desperate to win, great contrast from the big games under Dave Jones. Would normally have wanted Liverpool to win but with the Suarez incidents and the way Cardiff performed it was disappointing that they didn't go on and win it, even I was doing the ayatollah when Turner scored, he was fantastic.

What a cup final. Cardiff were fantastic, bet we gained so many fans after that perfomance. Can't name a single Cardiff player who played badly, everyone pulled together for a proper team effort. I expected Liverpool to walk over us and was so shocked when we pulled out the first goal. I expected them to respond and as soon as Kuyt came on I knew he was going to get a goal. Thought it was it was a slightly lucky goal the way he fell over while booting it back on the re-bond. Overall Liverpool were the better side so its kinda right that they won but how anyone (apart from Liverpool fans) could not support Cardiff at the end, after all they had given. Turner was fantastic throughout and for him to get the equaliser was fantastic. When heaton saved Gerrard I thought we were going to win it, our missed pens were nearly there: hit the post twice and Gerrard just skimmed wide. So close to a massive win, the boys should be proud of themselves, they put on a almost faultless performance. Now just gotta push on a finish the league and gain promotion.

Were you right by the pennos or on the other side? The penalties were taken at the Liverpool fans end, so I am ssuming he was the other side.

Yeah the other side.
Ah, just watched the entire game again... Truly heartbreaking now its sunk in, so so proud though. I feel like we literally couldnt have done anymore, we gave every single thing we had and just couldn't clinch it. I thought we'd done it when Turner equalised but it wasnt to be. I really hope we achieve promotion so we have something to show for how hard we've worked this season, looks like our best chance is the play offs, so we could well be back at Wembley... Again.
