We will not see a season end like that for a while.
And I thought that Arsenal/Liverpool game in 89 was exciting. Michael Thomas has just been trumped by Sergi Aguero

Worst way to do that but damage done well before the dramatics. Unreal.

Huge congrats to City... yay! It must be nice to be able to buy yourself a title, because that's what they've done. I've hated those ers since '99. We will not see a season end like that for a while. And I thought that Arsenal/Liverpool game in 89 was exciting. Michael Thomas has just been trumped by Sergi Aguero Except Arsenal didn't buy the title - nobody did in those days.

I though QPR had to when they went 2-1 up, really though Man City screwed it up. But I didn't expect them to get two injury time goals. Joey Barton though is a disgrace, he should be banned from football for good. No way does he deserve to stay in the Premier League after that, now I really wish QPR went down instead of Bolton.

I don't get why it's a bad thing to "buy the title" Every team would do it if they could...They have the money so use it to get success, Don't see what's wrong with it. They still had to work hard all season to get the right results.

City have had to put up with an awful lot of shit, found themselves in the lower leagues and have gone on to win the title ahead of their local rivals who have been buying the title for almost 20 years. Good on them, gives fans of smaller sides hope that one day they might see their club win a proper trophy, good on them, who cares how much money they spent. One Paul Dickov.

Hate the 'buying the title' argument. These days, it is just accepted and part of the norm to have clubs be taken over by foreign investors. Plus, you need money to buy good players. On the Joey Barton arguement, the guy is a ****. The elbow was a red card, and although there was a slight tussle with Tevez before, it was entirely unwarrented. What he did to Aguero was ing disgusting. Just kneed him in the back for no reason. Deserves to be severely punished (certainly stripped of his captancy). Really gutted they didn't get relegated. Mark Hughes is a ing wankstain.

This and I hope Hughes has it in him to sell him (not that alot of clubs would take him, maybe Pardew will go back and lick his arse like he did before he left Newcastle), deserves 10+ game ban imo. What a disgusting human being. Anyone hear the incident between Yohan Cabaye and an Everton ballboy? Laid his hands on the little boy or something. Gutted Bolton went down, enjoy my away day at The Reebok immensely. Hope they bounce back up at the first attempt.

OH MY WOW! The most pulsating, dramatic ending to a football match I have ever seen in my lifetime. Utterly remarkable. Just showed everyone why football (the real one, not that american toss) is the greatest sport in the world. City deserved the title over the course of the season, but my god did they win it the hard way. When it got to stoppage time and QPR were still 2-1 up thought it was all over (as did most, probably). Just a shame Bolton didn't win and send the wankers down.Wow, you really are ignorant aren't you? chances are you haven't even given American Football a try, you're just being small minded like most English football fans when it comes to American Football. Chuffed with City winning the title, makes a refreshing change. A little nervous that we're depending on Bayern to beat Chelsea though, Champions League is vital to moving forward.

I'm not getting involved into this buying the title to much cause we all have opinions, but for me they have. Take away the £900 million they have spent, would they win the title then? No. These aren't clubs to owners, they are business and something that it 10 years time could ruin the Premier League. It's a top 6 at the moment, 2 more teams get invested its a top 8, top 10 and so on. Where will be the excitement be for the rest of the teams? How will that 'surprise team' make 6th/5th when they can't get past 10th because that team has been heavily invested in. Before you know it Swansea could be taken over in 2 years time, win the league in 4 years time and would they have deserved it? Why I don't mind Birmingham in the Championship, because there's no enjoyment in Premier League, a few years ago (only 4 years ago) we could beat Man City with ease, now....not a chance! What fun will teams from 10th to 20th have in a few years knowing they will never get close.

The top two teams run away from each other then leave the rest for to fight for the remaining champs League places. Spain is a poor league even think lot say its the best .. They have the two best players in the world but that's about it. Your argument about teams having money all fighting at the top doesn't really hold any weight. Newcastle 5th ahead of big spending Chelsea. Everton 7th ahead of big spending Liverpool

Newcastle 5th ahead of big spending Chelsea. Everton 7th ahead of big spending Liverpool That's now, i'm saying the state it will be in 10 years time. QPR have money and after this season could be finding themselves spending millions over the summer, which could keep them away from relegation next season but the teams like Wigan, Reading and Southampton won't be able to do that so can't buy themselves out of a relegation battle. It will be exciting for the '10 teams' with money cause any of them could win that title, but what hope do newly promoted teams and 'mid table' teams have? WBA finished 10th this season, Norwich 12th and Fulham 9th. Now if these clubs aren't invested and 4 other teams are, for argument sake, Everton, Swansea, Newcastle & Sunderland over the next few years. Then what hope do these clubs have even getting close to 6th when this season they get those positions with it only being a 'top 6' and that's the closest they can get?

On the whole "buying the title" thing...
This guy in the Football365 summed up my feelings:
Theres a difference between the way clubs like Utd & Arsenal spend money, and the way Chelsea & City spend money. But City don't care, they deserved the title this season.
As for the argument that England would end up like Spain, surely its more likely to happen like that if the investment is made? Because other clubs can't compete with that. If there wasn't any major investment then its easier for lower clubs to attract players within their wage budget etc and build a team to challenge. Its not impossible now but its definately rarer.

United's Squad yesterday cost £169million, City's cost £161million.
I don't buy into this money talk. It takes more than that to put the Squad together and make them play football as a Team over the duration of a whole Season. Any United fan can't not say City to deserved to win the League. They went to Old Trafford and smashed them 6-1. Won 17 of 18 Home Games. Beat United again when it mattered. Beat the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs, scored the most goals, had the most passes, leading assister, and played better football. The way they went and won that Game was something we will never see again.

United's cost that over a number of seasons, Cities cost that over a summer. United put together a team over years, City went a brought a team in during ONE summer. Without spending that much in a summer would they of beaten united 6-1, would they be anywhere near title contenders....no.
