Horrid, horrid, horrid. Jim Ross cant even remember the name of the performers in the ring. How is he gonna be able to effectively call a match?

I saw a lot of, "Cole can't get anything right! If JR were here....yadda yadda yadda" nonsense. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't this place use to bash him before he left by doing things like saying, "modified (insert maneuver here)" nearly ALL THE TIME? I mean, I really couldn't careless who is calling a match, but man do some people here flip flop. Give it a month, people will complain about Ross all over again, as usual.

J.R has always been one of my favorite commentators next to Jerry Lawler & Bobby Heenan. I really like when he marks out when something big happens in a match. Now-a-days, you don't see any kind of emotion from the announcers when something big happens. It Kills the moment drastically.

J.R. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole Yep, it's really no contest. If nothing else, it's nice that we can have a commentray team that just calls the match instead of bickering the entire time.

It was nice to hear him again and know that he'll be back for a while. That said, you can't blame the guy for having some rust. He hasn't really done it for the better part of 2 years. I'm sure it'll all come back to him.

If the WWE and particularly the Raw brand itself wants to move forward with a 'newer' and 'younger' style of generation for it's company, having Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler do play by play and commentary is the wrong decision. They called matches together in 1994 for WWE Superstars!! I didn't mind them together years ago, but there comes a time when you have to move forward.
Josh Matthews and Matt Striker would make for awesome team on the Raw brand, but Striker got the boot after Booker T came over to Smackdown to speak his jive talk that I can't understand, so we lose out on hearing Striker speak his wisdom.
But still, if WWE wants to move forward, why bring back Jim Ross?? I didn't miss him on the mic'. But I am sure that in time everyone will be bashing Jim Ross again, about how he gets the names wrong, the moves wrong and how he fumbles his words. So it's a no/win situation with this probably.

I'd either rather have a fresh announce team or Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. Striker and Mathews would be nice but if they're keeping King around then bring in Ross. Cole and King was horrible except when Cole was a heel, since they dropped that it's not as interesting.

Cole/Lawler/Jim Ross is going to be a highly entertaining 3-man team.

For RAW I'd like Jim Ross/Striker.

I was a little tired of JR during the end of his last run, but let's face it, you don't know what you've got until it's gone. I'll take JR on his worst day over Michael Cole on his best. The sad part is that we still have to hear Cole on a weekly basis. The quality of the commentary improved immediately last night as soon as JR took over. If he can call two moves, he's already ahead of Cole. The one move Michael Cole managed to call during the Punk/Cena match at Money in the Bank was "Anaconda Vice", and the move he was calling wasn't even the Anaconda Vice. Not even close.

To hell with all of them, I still say bring back JBL and Foley as an announce team. That'd be epic

This is the wrestling world. Things get stale. Fresh things are exciting. It's been like this for decades now. Get over it.
