Yes, I absolutely would buy those guys over Windham and Magnum...are you paying attention? I love tons of crap before my time which is anything pre-1986 WWF. I love 70's AWA, I love watching old clips of Gorgeous George, WCCW..the works. That stuff is relevant to the history of wrestling and by investing some time in reading and watching it became relevant to me. I didn't grow up with that stuff, I knew nothing of it, but I did grow up with the likes of Crush and Doink and I'm telling you for me there's no comparison. I'd rather have the guys you influenced generations than guys who squirted water in peoples faces and ran around with midgets. I'd rather have the great Nick Bockwinkel than the superfluous star Crush. Are you being a "before my time" elitist? I'm not ignoring any promotion or era of wrestling, I'm actually being open minded and being willing to learn. You tuned in and then tuned out because it's not "relevant" to you. Why is that? You can call me an elitist, but it just doesn't fit. I'm not a purist or biased, I love it all, but when options are on the table I will 100% choose somebody that had an impact vs a guy who didn't. That's like collecting the 1927 Yankees roster baseball cards but opting for the backup catcher over Babe Ruth and Lou Gherig. lol you would spend $30 or More on anyone as long as they were old and influenced new generations?...... i dont think anyone buys it, you can quit pledging for the nwa, you arn't going to sway anyones vote, and this isn't going to Make mattel take Doink off the Vote. I Understand some people - Bandy , Pj etc Are Worried that this may be the last chance they have to own a Mattel NWA Legend that they Love, And they are Passionate about that, Thordude, you i have no comprehension of , you make no sense, you think by telling us that you look beyond your time and if we dont do the same thing then were not true wrestling fans, i dont buy it , Everyone already decided their vote and people arn't going to say "Oh i love King Kong Bundy But thor-Dousche Says im not a true wrestling fan unless i vote for magnum t.a and the brainbusters" But Guys, All this Back and Fourth wont change anything, If Doink the Clown Gets A lot of votes he will be made, Same with Magnum T.A , I Grew up and watched wrestling from 88 - 2000 mostly and Yep, Guys like T.A are Boring to me . I might buy them if they look good, but if my guys dont get the votes (fairly) then it is what it is. Crush Had a lot of great Matches, I Dont know how people can think they can define who a legend is or who isnt, Crush In my Mind will Always Be a Legend , And Crush is More Popular than Magnum T.A , More People Seen him on T.v , He reached a Wider audience through Videogames and Magazines as well. It is what it is 1st of all I never requested anything NWA, I'm not pushing NWA on anybody. Most the guys on that list were of the NWA, variety/mid 80's WWF or goofy gimmicks. If you saw my initial post, I didn't know who to vote for because I don't know how they are making them. I've seen the Magnum proto and it looks good so far, same with Arn therefore I voted for them. If they could assure me that Don Muraco will be when he was in his prime vs when he was a irrelevant face wearing tye-dye, same with Windham, Tito, JYD, ect. I have no idea if I'd be getting El Matador because of the 90's fans want him or if they'll be making IC champion Tito when he was putting on great matches with just about everybody he faced. Fat and old JYD vs young athletic JYD. For me I found it easier to vote Arn, Tully and Magum because they would be pretty hard to screw up and I have a good idea of what I'd be getting vs the other guys I have no idea. 2nd of all, you know why that stuff wouldn't sell (Bockwinkel, Dory Funk) because people like yourself wouldn't buy it only because you don't care about anything before your time. Most collectors are like you, they are nostalgia seekers. That's fine, there's probably some deep psychological issues with them folk I know it hard to understand, but when you care not about it's roots, when you care not about anything but what you want to or are familiar with, you're more of a generational fan of wrestling. You're Hulkamania or whatever, yeah you're a fan, but only a certain period of time and you'd rather fill up and complete your rosters with childhood favorites like the forgettable Crush than Bockwinkel who's put on some of the best matches in the history of the business. Nostalgia seekers annoy me because they tend to request crap like Bastion Booger and Warlord and Barbarian in singles attires(which Jakks indulged the seekers in and didn't sell great BTW) than some guys who tore it up and became one of the all time greats.

To put down people Who Dont like the same thing you do is pretty f'n immature and if anyone has psychological issues man its definetly you, its like saying, People who watch t.v episodes like CSI And Walking Dead Are Idiots And they Should be watching The Dick Van Dyke and I Love Lucy Show because if not for them we wouldnt have had groundbreaking yadda yadda.... your arguments are shaky at best, I Would Take Crush Over Bockwinkle Anyday , Who is that Jobber anyway ? This thread should just be locked anyway , its turned into DouscheThor Telling people if they dont spend every waking minute researching the history of wrestling then they have psychological issues. Im so out of this thread Now, My Prediction for 2012, Someone on that 17 List is gonna get 10,000 Votes, Mattel Will Make 5,000 Of that Figure and Only Sell 1,000 .... Then the Line Will Lose Confidence Before we Can See all 5 , Following By Mattel announcing the Line doesnt have enough Support to continue P.S Barbarian and Warlord in Singles Attire Would Rock! Thanks for suggesting that

If you surround yourself with childhood memories what does that say about you? I'm not blasting anybody, but I know some of these guys on a personal level, my wife's brother is one of them. Anytime he feels down about himself, he runs home to mamma and throws on some Transformers. I know my writing make me sound cruel, but honestly there's psychological reasons for why people do what what they do. A lot of the nostalgia seekers don't live exciting lives, they sit at home and play video games(based on experience) and it makes sense that since they're no longer creating memories they want to surround themselves with stuff, sentimental stuff that they remember that makes them feel good inside from that special time in their lives when everything was much more innocent. I already lived my childhood, it was great, but life doesn't stop there, it keeps going and evolving. I do what I can to create more memories because at some point that's all you'll ever have.

Quanthor your logic is severely flawed. Why would I go out and waste my money on figures of guys just because they had a part in wrestling history? I'm buying these figures because they are of guys I liked and enjoyed when I was growing up watching wrestling. I'm not buying them because that's just who I remember. I remember guys like Junkyard Dog, One Man Gang, Tully Blanchard etc but would I ever buy a figure of them? No. Why? Because they weren't any of my favorites. I was a big fan of both Crush and Doink so yes I'd take them any day over someone like Magnum TA or Don Muraco.
