“Vince… You are relieved of your duties.”
July 25th, 2011
“This is a new day… A new regime in WWE. From this point forward, nothing that happened in the past matters. My first act as Chief Operating Officer of the WWE, is that I am vacating all of the titles currently held in WWE. Next week, live on Raw, we will be holding a new draft for both Raw and Smackdown. Everyone is up for grabs, everyone can be drafted. Also, I will be separating the Tag Team and Women’s Championships for each brand. There will be little to no brand crossovers, expect for special occasions, which is the point of a draft. Like I said, this is a new day in WWE, and we will start it off on a clean slate. New champions, new draft, new wrestlers, new kids at the top. This moment marks a brand new beginning in the WWE.”

Chavo Guerrero got released like last month if I'm not mistaken. Other than that, loving the Smackdown roster even if there weren't many changes. Can't wait for more. Yeah, I know, but I'm a huge Chavo mark, so I'm just gonna pretend that never ever happened, lol

Regal, you have never won the World Championship here in WWE, and with this explosion of young talent here on Smackdown, what makes you think that you can win the Title against people, decades your junior?”
Regal: “Well, you see young Matthew, a revolution in wrestling doesn‘t just go for younger talent. A revolution can also mean a resurgence for, what you people call me, the old timers. Having age on me means nothing, because with age comes experience. I might have age on them, but I have much more experience on them, and experience trumps youth in that ring.”
Striker: “Tonight you face another veteran like yourself, in Chavo Guerrero. What are your thoughts going in?”
Regal: “Chavo comes from a long line of great wrestlers, and Chavo is a great wrestler himself, but Chavo isn’t as experienced as I am, and is no where near as good in that ring as I am, and that is what it will all come down to tonight.” |

Friday Night SmackDown; I'm glad you had Kane go over Dolph Ziggler, he deserves to go far in this Tournament. Mark Henry over the Big Show was the right move, Henry can do more. While it does seem like a bit of a jobber match, I'm glad you have Evan Bourne advancing in this Tournament, but it's obvious he won't win. Very happy to see Daniel Bryan advancing over Ted DiBiase, and the same for R-Truth over Kofi Kingston. I'm totally backing R-Truth in this Tournament the whole way. An obvious victory for Christian here, and he does deserve to at least get to the Semi-Finals since he was stripped of the belt for no apparent reason. William Regal going over Chavo Guerrero is definitely the right move, and I would LOVE to see Regal do something in this Tournament. An obvious victory for Randy Orton, but I really hope he doesn't win the whole thing because he's had many chances with the World Heavyweight Championship. A good set of winners, and I think all of them were the right choices. Can't wait to see the next round.
