Simmons is good on any day to listen too. However today just turned up a notch getting to listen to Punk for this long. Truthful, insightful, and a very good listen.

I like Simmons. I know he's not the greatest, but he's really laid back. He also has one of the greatest jobs in the world in my opinion.

So wait, was he working over Simmons. He really didn't know if he was staying up to the day of MITB? That's crazy. I believe he wanted a break but for Vince to let him cut that promo, I guess of course not knowing that he was going to push it that far, takes balls. I wonder if the original plan was for Del Rio to beat Punk if Punk wasn't going to stay? Lots of interesting nuggets, like consulting Jericho, and how much creative control he has now over his character. I think he was being modest for the most part. Not only could he be the catalyst for the "Reality Era" but he could easily end up being the eras biggest star.
Great listen.

Fantastic listen. A lot of people are probably pegging Punk as arrogant, and he is, but he's at a level of arrogance that is necessary to really push the envelope and do what he's doing in the business.

The Miz did a better interview and revealed a lot more but right now Punk can't afford to reveal anything.

I hope you people listen to punk and let things unfold instead of nitpicking things week after week This is a Wrestling Discussion forum so conversation and analysis is natural. Given the direction WWE and "Sports Entertainment" have gone in, you can't blame people for being so picky, especially the ones that grew up on it while it was wrestling with belts and titles. This change in direction is exactly why Punk is doing what he's doing and was ready to leave to begin with.

Please I've been wachinf since I was 5, and guess what it's still the same thing, did you see MITB that Cena Punk match WAS "wrestling with belts and titles", Has it toned down a bit from the late 90's? Yeah perhaps but there still very talented people on the roster, and some compelling story-lines whether you people like to admit it or not most you watch it every week and you all become engaged in most of the storylines in some shape or form. Yeah WWE sucks man we have to watch guys like Evan Bourne, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Christian, Rey Mysterio, Dolph Ziggler wrestle every week :
