Yeah the whole torso is perfect, but the head is just okay. I never cared for that Jakks scan anyway. Still though, it's pretty darn good. Enjoy it.

i think for what we have to work with (Jakks heads) that's actually not so bad. Personally, i think it looks pretty good. what's the recipe? all you need is some red kneepads (jakks elbow pads work for kneepads okay in a pinch).
thanks for sharing.

Its simple but Im not a fan of it. I like the head but its really not scaled to the body, or colored properly. He's entirely too ripped for Hogan as well. Other then little things like the knee pads (jakks pads dont look right) and the Yellow tape (off for that era) its not bad if you just want a Hogan to fill a spot.

Actually, I think the head looks fine. The only issue I have with it is Mattel's arms don't look like Hogan's arms in the 80s at all. His arms weren't that defined but they were much thicker than any current Mattel arms. I feel the same way about the Road Warriors's Legends' arms.
That being said, that's a solid overall figure. The old school shirt is perfect and putting the fig in the Hulkamania ring is a nice touch.

He said it was a simple fix-up, and it was . . . I should know, I did it for him. Hogan did indeed wear yellow tape a few times. The head is just a filler until he can get an R3 head, which matches the skin tone almost perfectly. The knee pads are just place holders as well. As far as the "too ripped" notion goes . . . how many of the WWE stars are actually as well built as the figures? So, for what it is, it's pretty effective.

No need to argue every1 has there own opinion and I'm cool with it. I feel the scale of the head is fine, could grab an r3 head down the road we'll c. The knee pads are def temporary until I can get some mattel ones. And yes Hulkster did wear the yellow wrist tape in the early 1990's. Too ripped? Yea probably but hell mattel gave Stone Cold a 6 pack and I'm not talking about beer lol. I know this fig is far from perfect but I like it a lot. I'm happy to have him part of my collection, that's all that really matters I guess. But I love to hear your opinions.

I used that head at first for my custom Hogan, but I used the Hill Billy Jim body and Jim Duggan boots as well as alot of yellow paint.... I changed the heads to a I think its a Thunder Lips head from the Rocky line, it looks really good, just not a fan of the really ripped body type, since Hulk was never really that ripped, but a great custom non the less.... Enjoy!!!! Brotha!!!!!!

ehh i honestly dislike the way that looks very much.. i despise that scan, but for an 83-86 hogan its ok.. the yellow wrist tape eerks me, so brings back the bad memories like his 1993 run against money inc then yoko and early wcw. he's too ripped, and the white headband uh.
dean does the best custom hogan for my fav 89-90 era.
sorry 2 hate brother, but its my two pennies!
