Hey
I heard that the elite rings have been rejected by Mattel. So mattel only recognizes the regular ring and will not release any accessories for elite ring in the future Is that true
Also can anyone post a picture of how big the elite ring is compared to the regular

Actually, it was more that the retailers rejected the ESR and so, Mattel didn't sell enough of them to keep making more. Sadly, this led to Mattel canceling their plans to release a Legends-themed ESR with Andre the Giant. Also, it looks like any ideas to make ESR-sized accessories, like a steel cage, are not feasible right now. It's really sad that the ESR was so poorly received in stores, it's such an awesome ring! Regarding a reference pic, here's one I took when I reviewed the ESR... I hope this helps!

Wow that's a big difference in size
Is the basic ring too small for basic figures
I mean if I have a basic swagger doing an ankle lock to say wade Barrett in the middle of the ring. Will barrette hand be able to reach the ropes

Yes the basic ring is small. The Elite ring is too big. I wished Mattel made another scale right in the middle.

the elite ring is def not "too big" its perfect compared to real life in terms of scale.. the wwe ring is 22x22 feet, so it might be too big for ur playroom BUT i wish when i was a kid i had something like that.. although my little blue hasbro ring did just fine with its adorable molded to the side table and funny title belt holder!

Yes the basic ring is small. The Elite ring is too big. I wished Mattel made another scale right in the middle. It would be an even more niche market. The basic ring is fine for kids or people who don't care about scale. The elite ring is for people who want proper scale. I don't think there's a huge market of people who don't fall into one or the other of those groups.

I wonder what numbers Mattel requires for it to be a good seller? I bought mine from Amazon in the UK, and it stated that the first 10,000 sold in the UK would come with additional Smackdown ropes and ring apron - mine didnt come with them so I enquired and the reply I got was that the first 10,000 went long ago.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Mattel never included the Smackdown apron and ropes in any of the ESR packages. Mine definitely didn't come with one and I purchased it fairly early after release.

Yeah they never did that. They canned that idea long before they came out. I agree that there should have been a ring somewhere in-between. Mattel could have gotten the price point down and given it a good scale, without being so huge like the RSR and far too small like the spring rings.

i think the ESR is perfect scale. I thought it was way too big at first, but after playing in it and getting used to it it seems to be in the right scale.

I'm interested in an ESR when I start collecting Mattel figs soon. I have to say, however, that I am a tad apprehensive in plunking down the $$$ for it considering my past sour experiences buying rings. I'm 25 and I swear I haven't had a better ring than the old blue hasbro one from way back in the day. Not only was it in great scale with my figs (and I used every fig in my collection, even Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers), but it was durable as hell (it's still in great condition in my closet!), and I caught it on sale at Target for $3.
Ever since then, every ring I got has been too small or too big (that old Jakks Monster Ring was ridiculous). So when thinking of the ESR, I'll give it a whirl, but if it's not up to snuff I'm building my own lol.
