I'd go with Basic 1 being that it was his first Mattel figure

Basic 1. My reasoning is that with Jakks, all of there first series were worth a good amount of money, so Mattel Basic 1 should be worth a good amount in a few years, plus it being signed would be even worth more.

i'd go basic only because i'd be tempted to open a elite.

I have the 1/1000 signed and the elite series 4 & 9 signed and all 3 look SWEET. Just make sure you use a blue sharpie

I was thinking about a silver sharpie. Silver is good to but they are very unreliable. one min they are working perfect and the next they mush out. I personally like blue on my figures cause i think it looks the best but thats just my opinion. Within the next week im gonna be taking pics of all my signed figures that arent displayed and 95% of them are signed in blue

A silver sharpie will do just fine! If you ask me, blue will look terrible on a mainly black and red card. This is how my signed Basic 1 Kofi looks like:

I say you pick up and get signed with e10. Newest headscan, sweet attire just a great figure all around. I wouldn't get a basic signed unless it was my last option. I prefer elites over basics (although I do buy them both LOL).

I let him sign my 1/1000 and my E4 . I´d go for the Basic one.
