Hi guys
Please, do not let the title fool you, I love WWE Mattel as much as the next guy, but why did they show that Orton vs Punk statue and those large Rey rumbles at SDCC if they have no plans to release them?? The rumblers would be a great display piece. The statues could be a new money maker for Mattel, I remember the old Unmatched Fury statues done by JAKKS a few years ago, and they were all repaints, Mattel could do a series called, Hard Hitting Moments, based on the best hard hitting moments from a 3 month period, January - March, April - June etc. I think it could be very successful. What do you guys think?

The statue and Gobbledy Gooker were kind of test pieces, to see how the fans reacted. They said GG got about a 50/50 response, so they won't actually make it. As for the Rey giant rumblers, half of them were made by people at Mattel, and the other half were sent out to people that work at WWE to customize. It was just something fun for them to put on display.

Really? That Statue was freakin awesome lol.
Gobberly Gooker should be like a limited edition or something, or it could be a Maryse figure in disguise.

Gobbledy Gooker would be a great "build-a-figure" for a Survivor Series set. Maybe next year's. It would be a way to get those "50%" that wanted it to buy a full series and at basic prices instead of elite or legend it would be more realistic from a collector's standpoint- and the people who don't care about it won't feel compelled and won't have to purchase a full series- if they end up with Gooker pieces they can hock em on eBay or help out someone at a place like Wrestling Figs.
I think it's the closest thing to a build-a-fig that would make sense for Mattel- even if they have to bump up the price of that particular basic series by a dollar.
