Hey All, I'm kyle and im fourteen. I've been going to a conciler and I wish that I could have my old life back. My mom aswell as my girlfriend(Dating for 11months) , and most of my family wishes i was just happy and did stuff. Back when i was eleven i was never home always with my friends and was always having fun. Now i dont go outside much and I really cant help it. Im usually inside watching tv and playing games. I go to conciling because i have deppresion and anxiety. I just want my normal life i had three years ago. i know its not my girlfriend because this has been going on since 6th grade, this year im going to be a freshman. I'm mainly concerned about my weight. I dont have any packs right now and Im about 155? i want to weigh atleast 140. Any ideas on how to get there? No pills or anything cause im only fourteen. Thanks - Kyle. Hardcore dieting and exercising. When I did I went from like 260 to 150. However I was weak and gained it all back plus more.... I ate chicken sandwhiches every day for lunch, egg whites or wheat cereal for breakfast and some type of meat and vegetable for dinner. I excersied on a bike for 30 minutes every day at 6:00 AM and then 6:00 PM. and this was in the course of 3 months. And all I drank was water.

I recently just lost 40 pounds and pretty much all I've been doing is watching what I eat, eating a ton of vegetables and fruits, plus some whole grain wheat. I also run a mile each day, usually at night. Apparently running the morning gives you better results. So pretty much just eat healthier and get some exercise. Oh, and I eat a crapload of fiber. Helps A LOT. Good luck man and hopefully you get your life back on track. I had the same problem back in middle school, besides the whole counseling thing.

Well your only 14 the next 4 years of your life are gonna be awesome. And you have a girlfriend that obviously loves you so theres really not much to be depressed about. Im 18 and Im fixing to start college (community) and Ive never had a girlfriend. If your worried about your body and really want to change it you have to dedicate yourself. Run/Jog as much as possible. Also do some home work-outs. Push-ups, bicycle sit-ups, leg lifts, and planks will help build some muscle. And drink water instead of sugary drinks ( I have a hard time with that one.) In case your wondering im only 5'7 and 135lbs but im pretty good shape for my size.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I've been a 14 year old in counseling/psychology sessions, and when I thought that at 14, it couldn't get any worse, it did. 18 was my big low point, and it takes some hardcore drive to get through the worst of times.

Thanks - Kyle. u know how funny that sounds? ;D ;D cheer up dude,your only 14 crapdosnt matter at that age.have fun,your still a kid no matter how old u think u act.im 20 so ive been down ur road before except at 14 i was about 165 and 5'6 lmao atleast ur skinny.dont worry about nothing except making good grades and having fun so the best advice i can give you is stay in school,say your prayers and eat your vitamins,brother

You're not going to gain any muscle just sitting there, I know it's hard to get started but if you keep it up you'll be in good shape before you know it and then you'll feel a lot better about yourself and it might help with the depression.

Im naturally an indoor person. So going outside has been a struggle for me. Especially with my girlfriend. Cause you know she dont wanna be in all day. its been a B**** Trying to take the next step with her. But Im truely in love with her so im not trying to do anything wrong. lmao but thanks for all the help folks.

Cutting out soda from my diet was easily the greatest decision I have ever made. I transitioned to Gatorade for a little bit and now I'm strictly drinking water, which also helps you lose weight.

Not only will you lose weight, but you will be alone with nature (I know that sounds corny)... and you will be able to think to yourself and clear your head. I've lost 83 lbs since January. You can do it. Be consistent and stay focused. And don't worry about what other people are saying (even if they are your family). Be happy. Be proud of yourself. You can do it man.

I was in a similar predicament that you are currently in except I was a year older. Honestly, it is just part of growing up. Life isn't all sunshines and rainbows and the sooner you can realize that, the better. It is going to get worse before it gets better, so prepare yourself for that.
And just get through high school. Once you graduate none of that sohpmoric crap will matter anyway.

I lost 50 pounds, I was 200 and I dropped to 150 in about 6 months..I was weak and playing football being 150 pounds and skinny didn't work out for me..so I gained it all back with 60 pounds of muscle, being 210 with a lot of it being muscle. What I'm trying to say is don't lose a mass amount of pounds by dieting or skipping out on meals, it's unnatural and it makes you weak and not able do your daily things like play sports or even sleep at some points, some days during that time span when I was 150 I couldn't even get out of my bed..I was so tired and weak, I started to take alot of vitamins, worked out and after workouts drank Muscle Milk. In about 4 months I was 170, than in 9 months I was a healthy 210, heavier than I was before but it was mostly muscle. Just don't diet bro..that's for chicks, stay your weight and work out at the gym, turn your fat into muscle and don't ever go through what I went through and what Mr. E Nygma went through, it sucks..

Great to hear about all of your stories but I wanted help, Thats all. Thanks for everything guys. Take what I said into consideration, your weight is very good for your age, especially if you turn it into muscle..I know it's hard but if you make it a habit going to the gym will become a hobby and you'll maybe meet new friends there and etc. What I've found out is that gyms like 24 hr fitness or LA Fitness are not good for new-comers, try to find a non income making gym that has people their who can help you out with what to do in the begging, when you figure out all the weights and your schedule..Like Abs/Chest Monday, Shoulder/Back/Arms Wednesday and Thighs/Calves/Legs Friday you'll find it way easier and in about 3 weeks you'll start to see a difference.

I stopped drinking soft drinks about a month ago just because I actually prefer water and I've lost some weight (aswell as going to the gym). I wasn't overweight to start with but drinking water instead of soft drinks does definitely contribute to weight loss.
