Goof Off for sure. I tried acetone but ended up melting the plastic a few times. Goof Off is much better but you still need to be careful. Wars tips for applying are pretty spot on for either one.

didn't want to post a topic in this board since i posted it in the Custom Support board, but here it goes:
Hey guys, I do not trust my skills with making a specific custom. I have an Elite 23 HHH and I would like to make the 97- early 98 version of him. I figured I would put the crotch of John Morrison on him since there is a belt. It needs some paint acetoned off and HHH's torso will need to be cut to put it together. Also, the upper legs of HHH will also need acetone. Again, I do not trust my skills with this, since I have never really done this, so I would like to see if anyone offers to help guys with customs. I can use paypal to send funds. If anyone is interested, please reply or send a message. I would like to see so previous work as well. Id hate to give this figure to someone that would just chop it all up, hahha. However, I know this community is pretty cool and there are a lot of good custom makers out there. Thank you.

I was messaged not to post pictures of Quirk's custom figures as they are not my own work here. Does anybody else not find this completely ridiculous for several reasons?! All of the figures I have pictures of are in my possession, I own them. The artist, as we all know, is deceased. There have been several requests by many to view his work, and I can supply pictures for those interested, and now I am told I can't because I'm not the artist? Dan Quirk and I were friends in real life and I can honestly say he would be pissed off and disappointed that people are unable to view his art simply because of his untimely death and inability to share them himself...

The rules state you must post your own work. You have specifically pointed out that these customs were not made by you, so I don't see what your argument is. If someone wants to see the pics,!you can always email or PM, or better yet make your own web page dedicated to preserving his memory, but please just leave it off the board.

Why can't he just make one post dedicated to those customs, put a disclaimer at the top that he owns them but did not make them? I don't see what different it makes. No offense to him as Quirk's friend, but it's not like Quirk can come in here and make a fuss of it at this point. It's a tribute to him! I don't see why there can't be an exception for that. Otherwise, it's just silly.

Smurf, are you trying to get another thread locked and/or deleted?
Nuke, I clearly stated why I locked it in PM. The rules are very clear about posting other people's work. You clearly love his stuff. Make him a site dedicated to the pieces you own and your friendship with him. Link it in your sig.
It *is* discouraging to current posters to have their work pushed down the page by people going back 2,3, hell 20 pages and topping old posts or posts full of old work ("nostalgia"). His work can easily be found by using the search feature and looking up "Quirk." I locked Axehennig's thread for the same reason long before I locked the Quirk thread.
I'm not knocking Quirk's work or him. Let's not have anyone else knock his work either, please.

I'm just saying that there's threads on the first page of this board that haven't been bumped in over 3 weeks. I respect the rules of the board, but I honestly don't see how it hurts to make a thread. If nobody likes it, they can not reply to it. That's the point of message boards. People gripe way too much on this board when people bring legitimate discussion topics.

But YOU'RE the one griping, lol. You don't like the rule because it applies to you and what you want to be able to post. So *YOU* are griping-- not discussing the merits of changing the rule.
Anyway...like I said to Nuke in PM, if you must post his old work and talk about it, feel free to post in this thread as it isn't on the main page and won't push down other people's work. If you don't like that, well, you're just trying to be contrary, IMO.

The argument is that they were being requested, and I'm the only one who can supply as they belong to me and the artist is deceased. Again, he would want his art to be viewed and would probably vomit over the fact that people aren't allowed to view his work just because he is dead. I did not think the rules applied if the artist was dead... If he can't post them, how is anybody going to see them?!

Just curious, looking at the locked thread, why did you let all your links go bad? All I see is Tripod hosting pics? Leaving the pics up would have solved your dilemma, as they could still have been viewed by anyone who searched his name.

While Axe is not dead, I feel we should honor his work by unlocking his thread, and since he still sells things on the bay, can we screenshot his work and post it in his thread?

Hi guys I looking to make a Franken Beefcake as I hate the Mullet on the series 5 as I saw someone on ebay put that head on a Deluxe aggression and the skin color and everything looked like a perfect match so my question is do the heads on jakks classic figures just pop off ? as I never tried it and I have a new collection coming soon and I just dont want chop and glue ! Thanks in advance , See Pic below Series 5 head on Deluxe Aggression body ? Do they all pop off like regular doll head if so this could get good if skin color matches and does anyone know of someone who sell customs jackets or tops for these .
