Wars No, I have not paint the attire yet, going to give him the baby blue tights, then add Heavy to his right boot, and Metal to the left. How random was that? Lol I've painted Slaters rubber shirt and Just need to add the logo, also primed Barry O's duster.

didn't want to post a topic in this board since i posted it in the Custom Support board, but here it goes: Hey guys, I do not trust my skills with making a specific custom. I have an Elite 23 HHH and I would like to make the 97- early 98 version of him. I figured I would put the crotch of John Morrison on him since there is a belt. It needs some paint acetoned off and HHH's torso will need to be cut to put it together. Also, the upper legs of HHH will also need acetone. Again, I do not trust my skills with this, since I have never really done this, so I would like to see if anyone offers to help guys with customs. I can use paypal to send funds. If anyone is interested, please reply or send a message. I would like to see so previous work as well. Id hate to give this figure to someone that would just chop it all up, hahha. However, I know this community is pretty cool and there are a lot of good custom makers out there. Thank you. I done this awhile back, I didn't cut any torso, I'm using John Morrison's torso.

That exactly what I want, but I'm afraid I'll damage the pieces when I apply acetone. Plus when I have practiced, it leaves a shiny look to it.

Nice stuff Wars. Hey I have a question about any possible custom tournaments I know Gonzo was doing them then those kind of disappeared. Any chance of bringing these back into play maybe 1 every other month for those in school and work? If so we should get a sign up going I for sure would love to participate.

I'm open to it on one condition. Change your sig picture, lol!
But yeah, I'm open to it, if Gonzo or anyone experienced with running one wants to step up and set one up, great! If not, I will put one together very soon.

This is a re-post of my thread in the classifieds: Hey customizer-elite! A good friend of mine is now providing latex molds of Jakks/Mattel/Toybiz/Hasbro heads! I'm promoting this project for him because he hasn't got an account on this forum. The guy is collecting for over 25 years and has quite a huge variety of wrestlers, which means he has a crapload of different heads. The link below shows only the current progress, he is still listing heads every now and then. The Jakks-list is almost complete but his collection is always growing. You choose the heads you want and you'll get a LATEX MOLD of the head, which lets you create as much heads as you want! The only thing left that you need is: casting ceramic. It's very cheap and you can make a lot heads with one package. I'm using casted heads for my customs for ages and as you can see on my facebook-page, they always like the originals, some even better. Check out the pretty heads he has got and ask for prices, he'll make you a fair offer!! The page is mostly in german language but nevermind, he speaks english as well! HEAD SELECTIONThe final casted heads will look like this: You only have to sand a little bit and mold it on the body like this: Cheers, Tommy

I have a quick question; hopefully someone here can help me.
When painting joints (Knees mainly) do you thin the paint so that it doesn't rub off when the joints move?
When painting my Rowan custom, I did not have any issues with the joints at all, however when painting the white on my Bray Wyatt custom's legs the joints rub away. The only thing I could think of is that the paint is thicker.
If you do thin the paint, do you water it down or thin it with white spirit?

Sand the joint before painting, use thin layers of paint and brush on some super glue to seal the paint. Make sure to work the joint back and forth so you don't glue it in place.

Last couple competitions I had a lot of responses saying interested, come time to turn in only 3-4 turned in. The last one I tried to get going nobody even responded. It's a shame, because these competitions used to really drive the talent level of this board.

Just to look at the fix-up board and see numerous possible entries.

I've been a member of this board off and on for years now, and I have to say the state it is in today is probably the lamest I can recall. Tommycoholic mentioned my sentiments exactly in a recent post, so I figured F it.....I'm going to just call it out. The whole purpose of a forum like this is for open discussion. Many different artists present their work on here, when in all honesty, they don't even have to. There are plenty of other forums available for this medium, and honestly, probably forums where there will be much more overall interaction. Give these guys their due, tell them their work is top-notch, or respectfully why it sucks, or what you would have changed....something....anything. Watching so many of these guys post some truly outstanding work and go un-commented on for days on end is a disgrace. If this board is ever going to be the central location for all custom-figures again, it's going to need to go back to a time when people actually took the two seconds to type up a reply, good, bad or ugly to the work members post. Another drawback is that it pushes away new potential members from joining the forum, if it appears dead, why waste the time registering....more so posting? This board needs new people, new artists, new ideas, and new concepts to stay relevant; the path it is heading now is a far cry from any of that. My message here is simply, GET INVOLVED. Log-in, and leave some comments for these guys....before this board goes entirely defunct. (puts soapbox away).
Wars, I'm sure you'll see this, and if you deem you want to delete this post, while I respect that decision.....this sentiment needed to get out there.

Can anyone shed any light on the mattel diva's hip joints. Are they a boil and pop affair, I know the knees and thigh swivels are, but what about the 'ball joint'?
