Thanks again BorrachoBancho for suggesting Mounfang Brown, it's like a 95% match. Waiting for morning to see how it looks in natural light, but I can definitely work with this i.imgur.com/23VDiEm.jpg

Good to hear it worked for you. Like I said, a keen eye will see a slight difference in the colors. But that sort of match straight out of one bottle can't be beat. Not to mention it blends far better than the string of molded/painted skin tone mixing and matching Mattel has been doing lately.

Many irons in the fire, as seems to be how I end up working. My later years Andre gets settled into his new singlet color, while plans to enlarge his hairdo are next. My Tex McKenzie custom is starting to take shape, and I've got a custom Gorilla Monsoon on the way, too. Otherwise, Triple H bides his time in the background, awaiting his turn to transform into Ivan Kalmikoff the Crazy Russian, manager of Big Tex and the Mighty Igor.

Does anyone here have a suggestions for wiping factory paint off of a white casted head? I'm trying to remove the lines off of my basic 68 Sting and redo them. So far, I've used alcohol but I noticed that the head also had some yellowing, I don't have goof off and won't use it (the smell makes my head hurt) are there any alternatives for stripping off the paint?

Fine sandpaper works Also Acetone (nail polish remover), 90% to 100% strength. Dip a Q-tip in it, quickly swipe at the paint. To prevent smudging and making a mess, as soon as you start to see the paint smudging, just stop, then rinse the head in water and get a new Q-tip to use. repeat until you're done. Acetone smells bad too though. I read that people use clear nail polish itself to remove paint...like, they dab it on, wait a few seconds, and wipe it off and the paint is supposed to come off with it. Haven't tried it, but worth a try on a scrap toy. You can also just scrape the paint off with a blade if you're feeling hard lol. Angle the top of the blade away from you, and scrape away from you so you don't gouge the plastic.

Henchmen4Hire I used the sanding technique you mentioned. Removing the face paint was one issue, I'm trying so patiently to not destroy the head out of anger lol. It's ironic, I'm a painter, but I have no idea why I can't paint the lines on this figure. It's coming out like crap, I'm not sure if it's the testors paint I'm using or the brush. I've had to redo it like 6 times and it's still not coming out the way I want it. Any suggestions?

All i can suggest is get it to a consistency you're comfortable with. Maybe don't thin it if you're having trouble controlling it in a watered down state.
Just saw the black lines youre talking about, stuff like that is hard. Use a thin brush, or even a fine tip marker. Also, don't use pressure, you're not drawing, you're just trying to gingerly drag the tip of the brush so it leaves a trail of paint where you want it.
Also keep in mind that a wrestler's face paint never perfect, if your result is slightly asymmetrical that's actually more accurate lol

Henchmen4Hire thanks brother, will try it. I'm sure I posted this before, but someone suggested using red plasti dip for painting turnbuckles. What do you guys suggest? Trying to recreate the red buckles used on nitro with the rubber ones from the asr. Also, I used some nail polish on a pair of black ringposts I got from the nxt set and it just removed the gloss finish and left a white residue. What should I do to fix this? I'm guessing the chemicals reacted this way due to the posts being made out of hard plastic.

I'm guessing the chemicals reacted this way due to the posts being made out of hard plastic. Plasti dip is exactly what it sounds like, you use it to give stuff a rubbery coat, like the rubber grips on a pair of pliers. I don't know if applying it with a brush makes any difference, but I guess it could work if you dab it on there and let it self-level so it doesn't leave ugly blobs. Also, did you use "nail polish" or "nail polish remover", because they're two different things. I ask because unfortunately I often see the two terms get used interchangeably. Nail Polish is a hard top coat used to protect paint, it can be shellac, lacquer, enamel, etc. I saw people on here saying it removes paint too, which confuses the hell out of me, but it was worth a try lol. Nail Polish Remover is acetone, which removes paint and leaves white marks if you leave it on hard plastic for too long. I haven't found a way to get rid of those white marks, other than sanding the area deep enough to remove the damaged plastic.
