I'll try and use the plasti dip then, but I can't help but also wonder if spray paint will bond to the rubber. Nail polish to be exact. Acetone is a little harsh imo.. Just add a bit and swipe it off with a paper towel and it should smear. Don't let it dry, if it does use a bit of alcohol and repeat.

I do custom figure orders. Majority are Jakks figures. Will do Mattel if parts are supplied. I have a bunch of jakks parts already, so I may have what I need in stock. Instagram.com/ManiwaFigs to see my work. Hit me up if you're interested in getting some work done

I asked this question in the fixup thread but no one really gave me an answer. I'm in the process of making a custom elite Mortis and was wondering if anyone knew which legs would make him taller? I'm using an Xpac for the upper, just not sure what legs to use.

Henchmen4Hire thanks brother, will try it. I'm sure I posted this before, but someone suggested using red plasti dip for painting turnbuckles. What do you guys suggest? Trying to recreate the red buckles used on nitro with the rubber ones from the asr. Also, I used some nail polish on a pair of black ringposts I got from the nxt set and it just removed the gloss finish and left a white residue. What should I do to fix this? I'm guessing the chemicals reacted this way due to the posts being made out of hard plastic. Plasti dip is exactly what it sounds like, you use it to give stuff a rubbery coat, like the rubber grips on a pair of pliers. I don't know if applying it with a brush makes any difference, but I guess it could work if you dab it on there and let it self-level so it doesn't leave ugly blobs. Also, did you use "nail polish" or "nail polish remover", because they're two different things. I ask because unfortunately I often see the two terms get used interchangeably. Nail Polish is a hard top coat used to protect paint, it can be shellac, lacquer, enamel, etc. I saw people on here saying it removes paint too, which confuses the hell out of me, but it was worth a try lol. Nail Polish Remover is acetone, which removes paint and leaves white marks if you leave it on hard plastic for too long. I haven't found a way to get rid of those white marks, other than sanding the area deep enough to remove the damaged plastic. I'm very interested in seeing how this comes out. Want to do some custom buckles myself.

Has anyone tried DDP's head for a good Kenny Omega custom? His figure is currently pretty cheap so fodder wouldnt be too bad. I was thinking using shinsuke's legs or whole body and put a shirt on him. DDP looks like a good place to start for a Kenny head. If you don't want to resculpt the face, I think the best bet is to go with sunglasses and the thicker beard I saw to move away from the DDP likeness. Brian Pillman with beard he'd scan works pretty well for kenny omega too

Just starter getting to work on creating some original characters for my own figure fed. It's just a start and I need to do some paint work on him, but I'll update with more pics/profiles for characters as I progress.

Anyone here concerned with the new arm articulation (at the elbow but not below the shoulder) displayed on the new basics previewed at SDCC this week? This seems like it would make it impossible to swap arms from a basic without a torso crack. See the SDCC threads and pics for examples
