Really want to see Silva put on an absolute show a'la Griffin @ 101, but I'd be equally as happy if Okami won, just for the reactions

I wonder if the first step in Chael's training with Okami was "Hope he has a broken rib"

Been waiting for this event for a long time.
Anderson Silva(c) Vs Yushin Okami - Third Round Submission
Mauricio Rua Vs Forrest Griffin - First Round KO
Brendan Schaub Vs Minotauro Noguiera - First Round KO
Ross Pearson Vs Edson Barboza - Unanimous Decision
Luiz Cane Vs Stanislav Nedkov - Second Round TKO
I'm not exactly sure how Anderson will beat Okami, but I'm damn certain he will finish him. I could see Silva blasting him in the first, but I'm giving Yushin more credit. He's got a good chin and hopefully, for his sake, he has learned some of Chael's relentless GNP. So I'm predicting him to take a vicious beating yet still being able to take Anderson down. Only Anderson will get up and proceed to unload on him more until Silva gets down one more time and locks on a sub.
Shogun vs Forrest could go either way, but Shogun has to be hungry and pretty PO'd after the beating he took at the hands of Jon Jones. Last time Shogun felt angry and determined before a fight my boy Lyoto Machida was on the receiving end of a blistering KO. So I've gotta give this one to Rua
Big Nog is not the favorite in his upcoming bout with Schaub and that's sad. A lot of people are saying Nog is over the hill since being KO'd by Cain. I don't think he is, but this fight will definitely let the truth be known. I picked Schaub simply because he is the safe bet. But I'm hoping Nogueira doesn't stand in the pocket and trade with Schaub and gets this thing to the ground ASAP, wear him out and get a sub. My heart says Nog but my head says Schaub. Head.....be wrong!

ill have picks closer to the end of the week... but i really am excited for the top 3 fights on this card. i feel like this card is almost being overlooked a touch... like, people already expect silva to run through okami. but im excited... shogun/griffin should be a war, any time silva is in the cage amazing things have potential to happen... but schaub/big nog is the one im most excited for. i think itll really tell us whether schaub can take that leap into the upper tier of heavyweights... not necessarily in the velasquez, dos santos class... but that level right above guys like kongo.

As a Forrest fan, I want to see him win, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't here.
I'll hope for Silva to lose but I don't see him losing unless he either makes a huge mistake or when he fights GSP.

I'd like Anderson Silva to loose, just because I don't like him as a person, plus it would make the online MMA community go absolutely ape shit, but unfortunately he is that damn good and unless Okami gets lucky, it's just not going to happen.
Forrest Griffin, I dunno how you can't love this guy, Rashad said it best, if you don't like Forrest, you don't like people. I'm hoping Forrest runs right through him. I'm a big fan, and honestly Shogun is one of these guys that over the top PRIDE fans put a bad taste in my mouth for, much like they did with Fedor.

I guess I don't like people then....
because I can't f***ing stand Forrest. I am sure he is a great guy...but I hate his self-depricating attitude towards fighting. It seems extremely fake.
I hope Shogun whoops that ass.

AH hahahahahaha.
Apparently Chael has been more or less "banned" from Brazil.

nedkov by ko, barboza by decision, big nog by sub [sotn], shogun by decision [fotn], silva by ko [kotn]
i think barboza and pearson has fotn written all over it too, but i just think shogun and forrest are gonna throw bombs all night.

I think Forrests brawling days are over. He isn't confident anymore since Anderson snatched up his f***ing soul. He will try to utilize his size to smother Shogun for all three rounds.... but I am hoping Shogun comes in shape and wins.

My top three main card predictions:
Schaub via KO Shogun via close decision Anderson via ref stoppage

Anderson Silva(c) Vs Yushin Okami - Unanimous Decision
Mauricio Rua Vs Forrest Griffin - Split Decision
Brendan Schaub Vs Minotauro Noguiera - Unanimous Decision
Ross Pearson Vs Edson Barboza - Unanimous Decision
Luiz Cane Vs Stanislav Nedkov - 3rd round TKO
The top 3 fights are amazing: I'm hoping Nog won't be too rusty and will be able to outbox Schaub. Shogun/Forrest 2 should tell us a lot about where Shogun's at... it could go either way, but if the Shogun who turned up against Jones turns up, I think Forrest could get the win. And Okami will be a very tough opponent... he's only ever been stopped once in his career (8 years ago) and as long as he doesn't come straight forward and "bring" the fight to Silva standing (a la Forrest Griffin), I think it should be a good fight that goes the distance.
Can't wait! ;D

Happy either way with how the main event could end. If Silva loses then I'll be happy because I really don't like Anderson Silva but if Silva wins, then he'll probably have to fight Dan Henderson next which would be epic!
