Haha! Good bye Manchester.
City played well. David Silva was class tonight. He was brilliant. He played well and his goal was actually superb. They played like Barcelona leading up to the 2nd goal. Haha. Great passing and vision.
Once Napoli went 2-0 up I decided to go to watch Man United-Basil. Basil played really well in the 5 minutes I had seen. Xerdan Shaquiri was good. His ball into the box was very good but my oh my Chris Smalling was shocking.
Man United will go out in the Last 32 of Euro cup no doubt :L

Kinda expected. Our defense is ed - Fergie has twisted the positions of Smalling & Jones (excellent at RB early this year, right now and for a couple of years that can be his spot) up far too much when Smalling was super at CB last year, shifting him out right is ridiculous. Vidic & Ferdinand are spent. Evans is nothing. We do have Raf & Fab to come in, Jones is more forceful than Raf at RB so until were comfortable to have Jones & Smalling at CB were ed. Evra is expiring. De Gea is young, too young to be our number 1. And we still need Sneijder or Gotze or anyone that creates from the middle. Shoot Michael Carrick. Nani and Young are hot and cold. Hope we take Europ A serious enough to win it.

Fantastic night. Selves Man Utd right for not taking the draw seriously enough. Cracks in English football showing? I'd be surprised if this Chelsea or Arsenal sides made the semi's tbh.

POT 1
FC Bayern München FC Internazionale Milano SL Benfica Real Madrid CF Chelsea FC Arsenal FC APOEL FC FC Barcelona
POT 2
SSC Napoli PFC CSKA Moskva FC Basel 1893 Olympique Lyonnais Bayer 04 Leverkusen Olympique de Marseille FC Zenit St Petersburg AC Milan Predictions, preferences? Real Madrid are the only team I've been interested in the competition this season, so hope they get one of the Russian sides if it results in an early kick off so I can have a choice with what other game I can watch. Really wanted to see Real Madrid vs Man Utd, but... well, you know. Hopefully they avoid AC Milan, as I'm bored of seeing them play each other. Congratulations to Basel and in particular APOEL for topping their group. Great achievement for both clubs to make it so far.

I would like us to avoid Milan. OM would be great since i hate that club (mostly cause of Platini).
I hope Barça takes on Napoli. The sooner barça goes down the better. And since they cant play Milan...
I hope Real Madrid gets an easy draw. Maybe Basel. Even though they are not as bad as you may think.

The three Teams I want to avoid through the Tournament are Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Napoli. I have a feeling Barca will get done by someone this year, I think we could even do them over 2 Legs if we parked the bus and did it Inter style.
Wouldn't surprise me if this Year the Final consisted of either Real Madrid/Bayern Munich against a lesser Team, like a Lyon, Napoli or Benfica.
Wouldn't rule out Arsenal either though, they only need an easy Draw or two and they'll be in the Semis.

Shocking to see United crash out. Although, I do agree with some of the things vettel said: Smalling should be CB (although that doesn't excuse his shocking defending in the second goal), Jones at RB and De Gea is nowhere near good enougth to be no1 at the moment. He just makes bad decisions and needs to get used to the physicality. I'd love for United to do well in Europa, if they could get to the Champions Leauge finals last year they should easily get to the finals in europa but Fergie will prob field weak teams and they'll crash out in the end.
As for winning the CL, I always thought Bayen. But can't see it happening. Arsenal will do well until they crash out in a hard draw. I predict Barca and Real will once again rule it, with Real coming out on top this time.

I definitely agree that Napoli are the team to watch out for if they're up for it, they'll give anyone a game over 2 legs.

The biggest mistake teams will make is underestimating them. They have some decent players, but their attacking trio is ign mesmeric. Hamsik is brilliant on the ball, as is Lavezzi, and Cavani is one hell of a finisher. Would LOVE for them to get to win it.

The problem with them is, they are probably one of the strongest teams left in the competition going forward but sustained pressure on their defense and they will struggle, which is a shame.

Can't tell you how much I love Kevin Prince-Boateng, what a goal tonight! By far the most improved player in the past 12 months and easily one of Europe's best midfielders.

Milan played brilliantly last night, good play all round from the team. Ibra finally played well against a British team and Boateng was doing fancy flicks everywhere. If they play more like that they could be favourites to challenge Barca. Arsenal just looked like they have all season, not much good play but one or two chances which were brilliantly saved by Abatti. What a goal for Van Persie would it have been if that flick of Henry went off.
Now that Arsenal are basically out, Champions League is going to less attractive to me. I like watching the English teams but only Chelsea are left in. Plus, the way thier playing I can't see them doing much. Europa is looking a much better competition if the Manc clubs get thier act together. Wish Harry took Europa seriously, would have been great to see them in this as well.
