What other countries are doing as much research as we are? It's mostly our allies that are doing around the same amount of research as us..
European Space Agency, China's Space Administration, Russian Space Agency, India/Japan/France, etc.. Iran has one, but they just have the ability to launch one (satellite), not multiple & they can't recover. As far as I know. China is not our ally. They hate us. Russia dislikes us. India dislikes us. Iran is openly belligerent toward us. Of all the countries on the entire planet the ONLY place that UFOs ever land is here? That's believable? Well, I don't know about us being the only place they ever land... Seeing how more than likely it'd be a crash landing. Afghanistan, Siberia, South Africa, Greece, Norway, England all had crashes with bodies recovered, supposedly.

If they do have Alien bodies, chances are it was one of their own people and they just "claim" it was an Alien. The year was 1988, Soviet War was happening, I doubt there was any UFO crash with bodies recovered in Afghanistan. I also don't think there is a country stupid enough to announce something like that to the public, seeing how it would more likely lead to arguments and possibly War. If there is any other countries that has as much information as we do it'd be China, Russia, & North Korea.. Possibly France. They have all sorts of "secret military bases" like Area 51 I'm certain, Novaya Zemlya is a perfect example.

If there are these countries that hate us so much and would want to go to War, why don't they just do it?Because it's far more fun to tweak us from afar. Which is exactly what they could do by releasing proof that the US is covering up evidence of extra-terrestrials.

It would go down in history as the only reason they announced it was to put us as the bad guys. I wouldn't want that to be the reason they announce ET life. I'm sure they have other reasons to fight us besides things we're covering up, they're covering up things as well so it would probably hurt them just as much as us.

Isn't far, far more likely that there's no evidence at all? Just pointing out the obvious.

There being no evidence? That can be said about lots of things, including Bin Laden's death. Why would/should we believe someone who constantly lies to us anyways? Even if they did announce it, they would need to show proof. Sorta like the Bin Laden issue. Announcing something is one thing, but show the proof. We jumped right on believing that, so why not jump on believing this. Is it because it hasn't came out of Obama's mouth?

We do have proof though. Even his own family says that he is dead and that the US killed him. Not sure what your point is.

I'm sorry to interject here, but if you call that "proof", then there is far more "proof" that aliens have visited our solar system and planet. Numerous former government officials from various nations have aknowledged that. Why should or would they lie? They have nothing to personally gain from sharing that information, and they have a lot to lose. I don't understand why we should only believe government officials when they're still employed by the government...if anything, it should be the other way around.

I don't understand why we should only believe government officials when they're still employed by the government...if anything, it should be the other way around. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Ordinary claims require ordinary evidence. If I claim I went to the grocery store today, that's hardly an extraordinary claim. My providing a receipt for purchases made with my credit card is sufficient proof. It's entirely possible I sent someone to the grocery story with my credit card and they purchased the items, but you're not going to show my picture around the store and dust all the shelves and registers for my fingerprints. A receipt is sufficient proof for my statement. The claim is that Osama is dead. We know there was a firefight at the compound he was hiding at. We know US marines landed there. The US claims Osama is dead. Afghanistan claims Osama is dead. Osama's family claims Osama is dead. Al-Qaeda claims Osama is dead. The claim is not a wild or extraordinary one. Yet it seems to have an extraordinary amount of evidence to back it. People who hate our guts agree with us on this one. That alone would seem to prove this claim. The claim that aliens are here and that the governments of the world are all colluding to cover it up is an extraordinary claim. It claims that not only is their sentient life in the galaxy, but that that life has developed space travel technology that is good enough to get them here, that they've got here, that they've met some misfortune along the way and that they've been captured by various governments. Furthermore it supposes that governments who openly despise and detest each other secretly collaborate and are in complete agreement on a cover up. On top of that, it supposes that our government which is completely and totally incompetent at covering anything up and has proven this time and time again has somehow kept this whole thing secret. The only proof that exists for this - unverifiable testimony. That is it.

So a receipt proves you went to the store, when in fact you could easily just be telling a lie and not have went at all but sent someone. So your proof could basically be a lie to what you're stating.
Everyone claiming Osama is dead without providing proof just their words is enough proof to prove this.. Even though your proof could easily have been a lie when you actually provided "proof."
Someone claiming Aliens are here, and their proof is the amount of past Government cover ups & lies along with the hundred thousands of UFO/IFO sightings that have been going on forever & continue to this day, as well as the unanswered questions for the UFO crashes wouldn't be enough proof.
This isn't going anywhere.

My claim of going to the store is not an extraordinary claim. Your claim of Osama being alive or aliens from another planet being here and the governments of nations around the world colluding to cover up is a very, very extraordinary claim. If you are going to make a claim that big, then you need extraordinary proof. Instead, all you have is first person testimony that is unverifiable and backed by nothing.
Osama is dead. Even our most hated enemies who have sworn to kill us in our sleep say that Osama is dead. They agree with us. But that means absolutely nothing. As Obama pointed out even if they released the photos it would not convince a single guy in a tin foil hat. They'd just claim the photos were faked. Even if the released an actual body, the tin foil hat crowd would claim that was faked as well. This is the main problem with many conspiracy theorists. There is no amount of evidence that would ever convince them that the conspiracy they've bought into is incorrect.
Let's assume for the sake of argument that the government has a long history of successfully covering things up (they don't, but let's assume that). That does not mean they're covering up anything now. People see stuff in the sky all the time that they can't explain. It's a HUGE leap to claim that what they're seeing is really an alien space ship. Just because you see something you can't identify doesn't mean it's from another planet any more than me seeing someone I can't identify means they're from another country.
If you want to prove that aliens are here or have been here, it's very simple. Produce an alien spacecraft. Produce the body of an alien. This has never ever happened.

Of course it hasn't happened, if it has we wouldn't be having this discussion. It's called cover ups, something the Government does best. I don't work for the Government, so of course I can't provide you with a spaceship, I have in the past shown people who's worked for the Government and other major areas that have came out and said that there is something going on, even co-workers from Area 51 have said there is stuff going on in there that would blow our minds. Wiki leaks will say other wise about who lies and covers things up. If you want to believe everything they tell you, that's fine.

Once again, you're making an extraordinary claim. You need more proof than just unverifiable first hand accounts. The testimony you've referenced wouldn't even hold up in a court of law, but you're claiming it as rock solid proof.
The government is horrible at covering things up. Horrible. Look at Watergate. Huge scandal that the feds have every interest in the world in covering up, but they failed. Look at Clinton and Lewinsky. Feds had every interest in the world in covering that up too and failed.
The feds are terrible at covering things up. The main reason is that these conspiracies you see would have to involve thousands if not tens of thousands of people over 4-5 decades. Not a single one of them has ever came forward with any evidence at all?

Since when would tens of thousands of people have to be involved with documented files? Pretty sure only a few people would have to handle that.
