I understand that I've been shilling the site pretty hard recently, so this'll be my last shill post, I promise. But it's a doozy of one: recently I recorded the first episode of the return of "PC with PD", the MMA podcast I used to do some time ago for MMAFigs.
I go for twenty minutes, but talk about Alistair Overeem's chances against the Top 5 Heavyweights in the UFC, the plight of a one-armed fighter, King Mo calling MMA fans stupid, and some interesting thoughts on the situation revolving around Brett Rogers.
Feedback would be much appreciated, as would a view or two. Watch it here.

ing awesome. I really like how you mentioned just how mediocre Mir's striking is. If you watched the Cro Cop fight, he pretty much dodged the striking totally. Pretty fair thoughts on all of those guys, and I agree with a good percentage of what you said, especially the Mir/Carwin fights. I think Dos Santos vs. Overeem would be an amazing fight. I would love to get into this sometime, I guess to give another point of view (or agree with yours). I watch pretty much every MMA, K-1 and It's Showtime event and I think it'd be fun for as long as it lasts. I'd like to talk about your whole "K-1 Level" stuff, which (what I assume) will mention other top strikers in MMA. I wasn't sure if you wanted to do this alone, I just wanted to throw that out there.

I have so many plans for the site now that I'd love to do something like that, some other friends have expressed interest in doing something similar. Somebody over at MMA Mania (again, shilling the site hard) says that it was too long, and I kinda agree, most of my old PC with PD stuff was ten minutes, eleven or twelve at the most. So I've been thinking of giving the whole predictions/fantasy stuff it's own topic, and keep PC with PD strictly focused on the news and my thoughts on them. So, either I'll have that topic the one where we can discuss stuff, or I could even keep that topic separate and have an entirely different series where we group together and do a roundtable discussion. Let me know what you guys think! I've got a ton of ideas for this site and I'm always interested in getting feedback.

I agree with making it a little separate. I'm not saying I didn't like the length of the video you posted, but it seems like the best idea for now, even though I can't stand MMAmania.

New episode is out! Recorded this last night, so the Nick Diaz stuff is out of date. Just my luck I guess. Comments and feedback is much appreciated!
From the description: "On this edition of PC with PD we discuss Bellator signing a deal with Spike TV to broadcast its live prelims on Spike.com, Nick Diaz choosing to no-show a recent press conference, what the future holds for Wanderlei Silva now that he says he isn't retiring, and Dan Henderson wanting to unify the Strikeforce and UFC championships."

After a small break and a change in schedule, PC with PD returns!
From the description: "On this edition of PC with PD we look at Maximo Blanco signing to the UFC on the heels of a submission loss to Pat Healy, a controversial new interview by the WWE's Triple H where he says that the UFC needs to "evolve", and what will probably be the final interview Quinton Jackson gives on the "Spygate" rumor/conspiracy, which says that upcoming opponent Jon Jones inserted a spy into Jackson's camp."

I may catch a ton of crap for this before all is said and done, I dunno, but here's the latest edition of PC With PD featuring what I thought was a very hypocritical Dana White interview.

I agree with everything you said. Saying "it's up to Showtime" is really funny considering all the guys they took from UFC.
The thing with saying "Wanderlei hasn't looked good" isn't very well founded. He fought for 30 seconds and got knocked out by someone who has the best chin and the heaviest hands in the MW division in Chris Leben. Wanderlei has never fought someone who can take his punches, but he learned the hard way.
I also thought it was pretty clear-cut that Silva won against Bisping. He almost finished him 3 times, all the times being at the end of the rounds.

I wasn't saying against Leben, I meant in general. Silva is 2-6 in his last eight. Even if a lot of those losses were against fantastic fighters, that's still a strong indication that he's nearing the end of his career.
Me, I think Bisping kept it competitive but that Silva sealed the deal with his end-of-round flurries.

This is true, but he FOUGHT in every single one of those losses. Yes, he got knocked out by Rampage at 92, but Rampage is one of the hardest hitters in MMA history. As well as the Cro Cop, and Hendo losses. Hard hitters can beat anyone.
The Liddell fight was one of the best fights ever, and Wanderlei was never once OUT of that fight. I love Rich Franklin to death, but I will still stand behind by my opinion that Wanderlei won that fight on aggression, takedowns and clinch work. Close fight though, but I gave it to Wanderlei, even after watching it live and watching it several times over.
When Wanderlei gets completely outclassed and embarrassed, that's when people should make comments about how he's getting, but he has been fighting some of the best fighters and never once looked like he was outclassed or outmatched.

I did try and get in to your podcast and I really don't want to sound offensive this is just me giving feedback, whilst you're clear and easy to understand, after a while I just loose my attention span, you really sound robotic when you talk, add some emotion to your voice. I listen to several podcasts as well and the reason they keep me as a listener is because there fun to listen to in addition to having great views on wrestling or MMA. You've got a lot of views I agree with, you're just a bore to listen to. I hope you don't take that offensively, I'm just being honest with feedback...

No offense taken. What's weird is that you're not the first person to say I sound emotionless, but I've also gotten feedback that I sound fine. I think it may have something to do with my voice, or the fact that I'm a pretty laid-back person on most days. I also don't like adding emotion just for the sake of adding emotion. If I do get riled up, like I did during the latest episode, I want it to be genuine. Most of the time I take an analytical view on the show because I'm interested in getting some debate going.

Either way if you enjoy keep it up, I'll take a listen still as long as I can. Good luck with it all, I'll be happy to give future feedback.
