This is pretty amazing. Can you post a pic or scan of the catalog. Thanks. I dont see the point but if a lot of you want me to I can. But not until the weekend or beyond. I cant right now. the point... visual confirmation. i'll gladly wait until the weekend for you to post the pic, at which point any doubt of the existence of an atlantis buddy (of which there is still plenty) will be put to rest. thanks.

I believe it was listed in the catalog back then because I ordered all four buddies but received an extra Tinieblas in the place of Atlantis which makes me believe that Figures Inc expected to receive Atlantis but for some reason his buddy was canceled or perhaps there was just a really small shipment of that one.

Thanks for going back to get the catalogs. Figures Inc. was usually on the high end of prices so I'm surprised they didn't charge a whole lot but maybe they didn't know what they had until they were gone.

Id say they were fair on their prices for most of their items. Sure some stuff was expensive but that was usually the "rare" stuff. Theyd usually charged less if you bought more. I remember buying a lot of crap from them. I clearly remember buying around $200 twice from them. Sometimes I would purposely "miscalculate" my math to benefit me & they wouldnt blink an eye. The reason for my crazy shopping spree is that they had a flat shipping rate of I believe $7. I mean come on I could buy their whole wharehouse & have it shipped to me for $7.00 Ah those were the days. LOL

It was probably around 1996 or so. I used to get the catalogs in the mail all the time and I'm sure I had my mom order them for me pretty soon after I got the catalog that first had them listed.

Never got around to posting my pics so here they are with my original post. Well I checked my old Figs Inc catalogs. I knew where they were but it was a chore to get to them. Then when I found them the closest ones were from 2000 +. Those werent any good since somebody here already checked them. So I dug further into the dust. Then I finally found what I was looking for. The earliest catalog I have is #142 Summer 1995 & there is nothing from CMLL available. LOL I had forgotten that the early Figs Inc catalogs were tiny that resemble pamphlets more than catalogs. I also got me thinking how I got these catalogs in the first place since I dont recall ordering anything from them back then. But maybe I did. IDK as I get older I forget these things. The next one I have is #145 Spring 1996. I dont know what happend to the other two. Im pretty sure I didnt get them. On the cover is says "New Wrestling Buddies Inside" so Im gonna assume this is when they debuted here. Inside they have the reg OSFTM figures Rayo de Jalisco, Vampiro, Ultimo Dragon, & Lizmark @ $10 ea or $33 for all 4. For the wrestling buudies they only have Pierroth & Tinieblas @ $25 easor both for $40. All the pics are b&w and of the wrestlers & some kid hugging a buddy, not of the actual toys. The next catalog I have is #146 Fall 1996. In the lucha section it says "We now have four different ones to choose from" And sure enough they have the Vampiro & Atlantis wrestling buddies @ $25 ea or 2 for $40 or all 4 for $75. Again no pics, just of the wrestlers & a Pierroth buddy. So to recap THE ATLANTIS WRESTLING BUDDY DOES EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And heres the kicker in the very next catalog #147 Winter 1996 the Atlantis wrestling buddy is no longer available. LOL. Boy that was fast. I dont think Ive ever seen something sell out that fast @ Figs Inc. But to be fair Atlantis is the most popular & liked out of those 4 back then even today. Hes a living legend & I believe he just celebrated his 25th year in wrestling.

Very cool of you to post all that. I especially like the drawings of the WWF wrestlers. They look like ones from the old coloring books. I don't remember an Andre in the coloring book.
The Hasbro action figures pics are cool and I think they are before my time ordering from Figures Inc. I first started so I could get yellow card Nailz.
It's too bad they didn't post a pic of Atlantis but they did have them way back then. Fall 1996 and gone by Winter and I'm still shocked they are rare. Especially considering how cheap they were for Figures Inc. They probably don't even know what they had on their hands back then. Jeeze I remember going into dollar stores and only ever seeing Vampiro and Atlantis from Toymakers, they had tons, then it was down to Vampiro. They even had two different cards for him with facepaint. Figures overcharged for those toys though.
Thanks again for the pics and the old memories!

I appreciate that. That confirms the existence of an Atlantis buddy in my view.
