I was gonna use the longer elbow pads as Taker came with one. But I didnt have a spare one. So i swiped an elbow pad off of Flashback Edge, but it was the shorter kind. Taker looked odd with one long and one shorter elbow pad, so i just ended up using both of Flashback Edge's pads till I can find an extra long elbow pad. Same goes with the gloves. I used Ryback's hands, but hope to switch them for actual gloves when I get another pair of them. Unless ur gunna use SDCC undertaker hands/gloves leave those ones on as in that era he wore biker gloves not mma gloves

To me, the Sid torso looks like the brock upper torso and a Jim Duggan lower torso

kait f'n lyn, I liked your creativity but your execution is awful. I mean if I wasn't honest with you I would be lying and that is something I don't do. I've looked over your previous customs and they all seemed rushed expect Ambrose. I'd also like to know what paint you are using on these figures. It doesn't seem like it's working, if it's apple barrel or any various Walmart brands. Please stop using the paint it's not only going to hold you back as a customizer but it's going to ruin your collection by rubbing off on your other figures. These Mattel figures are expensive and I hate to see you waste money on failed projects in the future. I hope you get better at customizing I really want to see you up there with the likes of raven. Also take a look at artist youtube stuff on how to draw outlines with paint. It really helps.
Now, also you need to ask around about paint. I'm not quite sure what the best paint works. What raven uses seems to work really well he has made me a Holly Wood Hogan and I haven't had any problems with it.
And, for god sakes n2jib, Why couldn't you just use the CS Head?

Huh. Why would i use the CS head when i prefer the Toybiz head?? Kait f'n Lyn u can just try trimming off the edges using tootpicks to make it neater. If the paint is too thick or sticky, Thin it using water (if acrylic) or thinner.

Yes, all my customs must be horrible and rushed. Especially the Ryback I sold for $150 or any of the countless other ones I've sold. But no, you're right they're all awful. The paint I use comes from a craft store called Michael's and never once has it rubbed off on any of my other figures. I think you're confused. As far as the paint being "goopy" or whatever, I'm fully aware that it's uneven but it's not sticky to the touch or anything that Rude said. I just got a new white paint that isn't quite what I thought it'd be so it needs to be evened out. Obviously, it's not finished because it needs all his tattoos and everything.

( Those figures are a bit pricey lol). I appreciate the input though. I'll eventually have to switch hands, the Ryback fans fit too loose on Taker. They spin around freely. I may just try some other hands I've got and paint the gloves on, if the loose hand spinning starts to get on my nerves enough.

Take a small, clear runner band (the ones chicks use for really tight braids) and wrap it aroumd the wrist pegs. I had the same problem with the Tazz figure I made and the rubber bands fixed it up perfect.

Selling anything on ebay doesn't mean a thing to me. A Ryback custom that consisted of a RA Gymni head and Jesse body part swap sold for 200 dollars. Far as you go NikeGuy, I think you need to take a step back and realize this is a hobby site with serious collectors and I take my collecting serious and with the Mattel after market prices each time something is practically took apart for a custom the value of the remaining go up. If you don't believe me do the math, you will actually be surprised at your findings.

I'm not gonna argue with you but I'm just gonna say you've been doing this "internet tough guy" gimmick for like a decade on this site, and every time you embarrass yourself, you delete your account and come back and pretend you're someone new. It used to be on the fig fed board, I dunno, I don't go on there anymore, but you're easily recognizable by your MS Paint signature images and terrible grammar. Back to the point at hand: you said it yourself, this is a hobby site. What I or anyone else does with their figures should be no business to you. If you let someone else customizing a figure bother you, I feel really sorry for you. The fact of the matter is most all of the customs I make are for my personal collection. So, if I'm happy with them, who are you to say that they're "ruined?" Quite frankly, I think I do pretty decent work for a guy whose hands shake like a motherf'er all the time. I'll just leave it at that cause I don't want to get what is a great thread locked due to arguing with some goofball.

I'll just leave it at that cause I don't want to get what is a great thread locked due to arguing with some goofball. Call me whatever you want, and put me in whatever category you want too. But the truth is you don't have the talent you think do. I'm not trying to get the thread locked. I simply gave you constructive criticism and you took it personally. I have no idea what you are talking about though. I don't know you or anything about your past.. AND My grammar is poor? It's a free website that I don't get paid to do anything on but to discuss my hobby, when I start getting paid for my opinions and how I type them out I will write like a professional writer. But until then this is what you get, and I could see if where you were coming from if I gave reviews or wrote articles for WWE. But hate to tell, you again this is a free message board for figure collectors that is it. But why attack my grammar the new comers here can't even complete a coherent sentence at least I can. But consider yourself blocked and now I don't have to see you do anything else to quality Mattel merchandise.
Whoopee I make my banners in paint! Woo guys I'm so 2001

Oh and just so I contribute to this thread, check out my latest fix up. Anyone have any advice on how to make Ace's head sit a tad bit lower? I'm going for a custom attire by the way, I'm waiting for my ace decals to be made, once he is finished maybe he can teach me proper grammar and how to spot talent.

I don't like to get into these Internet fights and lord knows this thread has been locked up more times than lil Wayne. And I'm not sure why it has to occur on a landmark page like 500 (again). But some of you guys need to take constructive criticism properly and stop making it personal.
This is why I hardly comment on painted customs because truthfully there's maybe only 3 guys in here that can paint to make a figure look factory. The rest of you could use Jacob Rude's diplomatic critique. If you sold a piece for $120 on eBay that doesn't show you're a badass painter, it tells me there's a sucker with too much disposable income willing to buy it and kudos to you for capitalizing.
This is why I appreciate fix-ups more. First because I can't paint, and second we can only argue about appropriate part choices and it still looks factory! To me it's more resourceful using what is out there than simply painting it the colour you want.
And I find it's the customizes who are more super sensitive to critiques over their painting skills than folks who do fix-ups because most of us can match parts better than MDT (mattel JBL anyone?!!).
Stop taking it personal and start trying to improve yourself. It is legit that these toys are expensive. Enjoy what you are doing but never stop improving yourself.

Oh man that LOD is awesome. I wanted to do something similar (jakks heads and pads with Brock torso), but I was going to use Iron Shieks torso for animal instead to make him a little different while still giving him the bulk up he needs. They look fantastic, great job!
