Since I have pretty much stopped buying these figures as I have NO MORE ROOM, I have stopped paying attention to the prices they are fetching. They had began dwindling in the UK 4-5 months back, as they already had in the US. However, just had a little peak and there seems to have been a bit of a bounce, particularly on exclusives, and 2/3 packs. 1/3000 Edge for over 50 quid!!! Here's some recently completed listings. www.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED.uk/csc/i.html?LH_Complete=1&_trkparms=65%253A16%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1&rt=nc&_nkw=wwe+classic+superstars&_dmpt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&_sc=1&_sop=16&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1581&_pgn=2 Make no mistake, I won't be selling mine, no need to, so this isn't a ringing endorsement to go buy!! I think that people are now resigned to the fact that this will always be the most complete collection of individuals now, and no matter how good the Mattel figures are, CS are an integral part of our lives for good.

I have noticed this aswell. The only place i can find cs figures around here are the local flea markets.
It used to be i could buy any of the LJN cs figures for under $10.00 but now everyone wants $20.00-$30.00 for just one.

I remember buying all mine for well under 6 quid each.

I think that people are now resigned to the fact that this will always be the most complete collection of individuals now, and no matter how good the Mattel figures are, CS are an integral part of our lives for good. I agree. I think when Mattel debuted thier Legends line a lot of CS collectors dumped their collections in favor of Mattel. However, in the last year I think Mattel didn't handle the line the way it should have been handled and set up (poor attire choices, poor name choice for 2-packs, etc). The Legends Real Scale ring was canned, the number of figures dwindled down to 4-5 per set insteand of 6, 2-packs ended after only 1 set, and finally the line was reduced to 6 figures a year as exclusives on Matty's. I think a lot of Legends collectors feel the line is on lifesupport. While I am a die-hard CS collector and fan, I feel bad for those collectors that were looking forward to the line. I too have noticed a slight increase in CS figure overall with sinificant increase in price for certain guys. Now I feel a lot of collectors are starting to buy up old CS figures as like you said, the CS line will probably be the most compete (name-wise) assortment of wrestling figures ever. 181 individual CS names and if JAKKS can ever get the arses in gear, they could be adding more names via the LOTR line.

the regulars are somewhat doing well but even the 1/100's are going down in price. i saw a terry funk 2005 bloodied version for £130, eddies going for that too ( i got mine for 140 ) and the sunny and reys are going for even less than before.
i wouldn't say the prices are skyrocketing for the line, cs1 is doing worse than ever.

I toatlly agree and have noticed this as well. Some of the CS figures you could get earlier this year pretty easily, now are harder ro find and when you do find them, demand a higher price.
The Mattel Legends created a hype at the beginning and like was stated, people sold off their CS collections, but with the way the Legends line is headed, people are giving the CS line another look. I firmly believe the CS line will remain the most complete line ever assembled for Classic Wrestling collectors.

Thats not right mate. I bought all my 1 of 100's for between 130 and 160. Don't get caught up in the hype of the ones that have been on BUY IT NOW for 200 quid for 2 years now!!!

Gotchya, right. Obviously the 1 of 100's are a different breed. But I find the price of that Edge phenomenal, I remember it being on sale for 12.99. You also see the occassional moment of madness. That price for the UT figure is ridic. But if someon has the dough, and doesn't care, I guess it will happen. I bought about 14 * 3 packs in a deal for 187 dollars once. My best ever deal. Some of those Hart F 2 packs were also on sale for absolutely ages and now going for 50 quid!! Talking of bargains, I just bought 2 american stings on WW.

Essentially, all CS 1/100's are repaints. I mean with the exception of Heenan's weasel suit, they are all just straight-up (some very good) re-paints. Plus each 1/100 figure has had at least one mass-produced figure prior (Warrior, Funk, SLaughter, Piper, Hogan, etc). Thus I think only hardcore collectors of die-hard CS collectors will be buying them.
But there are tons of guys that only had 1 (RA-style) CS figure made. A list is below:
"Mean" Gene Oakerlund "Outlaw" Ron Bass Abdullah the Butcher Adam Bomb Al Snow Bad News Brown Bam Bam Bigelow Bastion Booger Berzerker Billy Kidman Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly Bob Backlund Bobby Eaton Brother Love Bruiser Brody Bruno Sammartino Buddy "Jack" Roberts Buff Bagwell Bushwhacker Butch Bushwhacker Luke Chief Jay Strongbow Chris Jericho Danny Davis Diamond Dallas Page Don Muraco Droz Ernie Ladd Fabulous Moolah George "The Animal" Steele Goldust Grandmaster Sexay Gregory Helms Hacksaw Jim Duggan Harvey Whippleman Hillbilly Jim Howard Finkle Irwin R. Schyster Ivan Koloff Ivan Putski Jack Brisco Jerry Brisco Jim Ross Jimmy Valiant Johnny Rodz Kamala Ken Patera Ken Shamrock Kevin Sullivan Killer Kowalski King Mabel Lance Storm Luna Vachon Mae Young Michael "P.S." Hayes Natalya Neidhart Original Sheik Peter Maivia Randy Orton Rick Rude Rick Steiner Ricky Morton Rikishi Robert Gibson Ron Simmons Scotty 2 Hotty Shane McMahon Sid Spike Dudley Stan Lane Steve Blackman Steve Williams Tank Abbott Tatanka Ted DiBiase, Jr. Terry Gordy The Genius The Mountie Val Venis Virgil William Regal Zeus
So those are probably going to be the ones that will fetch more money in the future as well as guys that only had 2-3 figures made. Plus some of the guys that only had 1 CS figure were packaged 1 per 2 cases so there numbers are even lower than 1 or 2 per case figures.
