It's almost like they're repeating last season's pattern of exploding in the second period and falling asleep in the third period. Bryz just being Mr. Softy, a lot of defensive breakdowns...just ugh. At least JVR has some momentum after scoring two tonight.
As for the whole incident after the Winter Classic, It was moronic on both sides. Probably a bunch of drunken morons on both sides, unfortunate and should be ashamed of themselves.

At the end of the day, that incident is an embarrassment. And there's no denying it happens in other cities, but I became overly frustrated with this. Because it's dumb craplike this that goes so far beyond what color or emblem you have on your jersey. It's an embarrassment as human beings to watch something so dumb happen like that. And I don't know the whole story, nor will I pretend too. People can say so and so started it, or he said something...but no one really knows what went down. It's just disturbing that 4 jackasses pretty much left 1 guy in the hospital with a concussion.
I hate morons that only continue to give this city and the sports teams a major black eye. Hell my brother and my Dad were at the game. Was there trash talking? Of course, it's Philly and New York...thats a given. But no one went there to beat someone in the god damn head. And what does it boil down too? A group of about 4-5 people, who make 48,000+ other people at that game and MILLIONS of sports fans in each city look bad. And it's a damn shame that a group of people had to take away a bit of the spotlight from a hell of a day for hockey.

Went to the 9-0 massacre of the Flames tonight. Very fun game, to say the least. A little bit late, but I thought the Winter Classic was awesome. I was pulling for the Rangers and I was pretty happy they pulled it out. I saw the fight video on Boston Barstool Sports a few days ago, chalked it up to a few fans being drunk and stupid. Can't really judge the entire fan base off of a few morons. With that being said, I watched the last episode of 24/7 tonight, and was surprised to hear Philly say "Shake hands? this", before leaving the ice. Thought that was kind of low, just didn't expect it. |
