Wow. The Penguins have to seriously have the hardest case of Jekyll and Hyde syndrome that I've ever seen. It was just last week that the Penguins couldn't even buy a win to save their lives, and then tonight they somehow managed to knock off the Rangers. I mean, don't get me wrong...it's good to see that the Penguins seem to be somewhat back on track, but the inconsistency is seriously going to give a lot of Penguins fans heart attacks in the future.

The Lightning have beaten 5/8 current playoff teams and 6/the top 10. We are 14th. HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL!?!?

Detroit sitting uncomfortabley on the lead in the NHL. I say that because Chicago could be first again after tonight. The Central division has been probably one of the hardest divisions in the NHL currently. Detroit, Chicago, Nashville and St. Louis are all seperated by five points, its insane.

Call me crazy, but I'm beginning to think the Bruins might be a dirty team.

Big OT win for the Rangers, second buzzer beater of the year. That hit was so dirty. Hopefully Ference hears from Shanahan.

Wings win their 16th straight home game with a shootout win over the Blue Jackets. Kinda wish we didnt have to keep going to a shootout, because that wont help us in the long run if were still tied with St. Louis and Chicago... but a wins a win.

Call me crazy, but I'm beginning to think the Bruins might be a dirty team. luckily it looked like McDonagh braced himself slightly and protected his head but its disgusting that the Kurrgan looking mother er couldn't ease up on the hit when he knew he had a clean one.

great pic of prusty, duane! that dude is a beauty. lol
i can't stand the bruins, and everything they stand for. it's sad, because with the amount of talent they have, they shouldn't have to do craplike that. especially after what happened to savard.

3 games for Ference. That doesn't sound right. Come on, Shanny, you can do better than that. Caps lost to Pens in OT, argh. But what a game though! Malkin is on fire!

It's so frustrating when a player on your team gets a hat trick, on Tim ing Thomas no less, and yet still lose the game.

Call me crazy but I'm going to say 3 games is reasonable. Ference was flying and laid his shoulder into his back a second too early. A second later, they both would have been chest first against the glass...there doesn't look like there was malice behind it or intent to injure. Pretty sure Ference apologized for it after the game, yeah he's a fighter, but it's not like he goes out there and wants to ram players face first into the boards. Glad McDonagh was able to pop back up and skate away.
Game today was a nail biter. 3 high hits in total during the game, one resulting in an injury to Horton...not good.

I'm curious to see what Ovi will get for his hit in the Pens game. Will he get suspended or a fine? I mean, the All Star game is coming up. Will NHL risk it? I know, Ovi still sell tickets, you know. There's alot of fans out there, and Caps fans in Ottawa too.
Whats your opinion? We should hear about this later today.

Also, in other news... Tim Thomas didn't go to the White House. I wonder how the media will play this up. Anti-Obama? Racist? Republican? That's the media for you. Bruins is supposed to release a statement on this. I find it odd that he didn't go with the team to the White House.

I feel like they'll suspend him for it, at least for 1 game. After everything else that's happened around the league this season thus far, to NOT suspend him for a game would be crazy. It would be looked at as favoritism...right? We'll just have to wait and see.
I've read before that Thomas has really strong political views, and I'm guessing that he probably didn't want to go to the White House because he doesn't support the Obama Administration. I'm not big into politics, but I think he should have just swallowed his pride for the day and went with the team.
